Maybe this week
things happened where your mind was
distracted
that you didn't give God his first place
in your life.
Just take a moment and confess that to
him.
Holy and righteous God, we do come
before you with humble hearts. We do
confess that we are just frail humans
all too often caught up with the things
of the world, the cares of life, the
worries that we encounter.
We react in fear and not in faith. Lord,
forgive us of that.
Even as we begin our worship service,
help us again to center ourselves upon
you,
to let your word fill our mind and fill
our heart. Lord, we do confess our sins
to you. We ask you would forgive us of
our sins and cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
And thank you for your watch care over
us. And we continue with the Lord's
Prayer. Our Father, which art in heaven,
be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will
be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us, and lead
us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and
the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

And good morning to each and every one
of you,
>> especially our visitors. It's great to
see you here on a rainy Sunday, which is
also what Chusok. We're getting this is
the Chusok season. So, say good morning
and happy Chiso.
And and for those that are watching
online, we welcome you as well. Um it is
great to see you in in God's house.
God's been good to us. Amen.
>> We have a we have a lot to be thankful
for and we're just so thankful to see
each and every one of you here this
morning.
In uh last year 2024, quite often I
shared with you my uh belief that God is
leading us to build a spiritual
sanctuary here at Soul Union Church. For
our longtime members, you know, our our
church history, we actually had a church
building and um we weren't um weren't
able to continue there. uh not by our
choice but um God has watched over us
and we have moved from place to place
you because of circumstances or co or or
whatever but you know having uh being
together
the Greek word is eklesia which means
the called out ones the church
we're building a spiritual sanctuary
here
And last year we spent many many months
going through a sermon series called
foundations which was covering the the
basics of the Christian faith.
And this Sunday and next Sunday I want
to kind of go back to that. I want to go
back to that theme and I want to focus
upon what we need to do to build our
church in the proper way according to
God's plan.
So, a title today, building our church,
part one. Next week will be part two.
And u our Korean brothers and sisters
are asking me, well, how do you how do
you pronounce that? That's like, well,
it's not easy even for Americans. Okay,
that's a that's a good Jewish Jewish
name. And and and you actually don't
pronounce it the way it's spelled. You
in English, you say hagi.
And um and so everybody say that. Say
>> haggi.
>> Okay. You don't p you actually don't
pronounce it the way that it is spelled.
So that's English. Okay. So English is
tricky for sure. But in your bulletins,
if you look to the next to last page, we
have a Bible reading plan. And this like
next week will be ver uh week number 41.
So we started in Genesis reading all the
way through the Bible and then our
sermons and our Sunday school lessons
come from the Bible reading of that
week. And this week we read uh through
several of the minor prophets including
Hagi and into Zechariah.
Next week uh will be a for me be a
wonderful week because it's going to be
from Zechariah and we'll finish Malachi
and get into the New Testament. And so
I'll be looking forward to that. But so
you so you see that our Bible reading
plan is very important to us. And as we
have shared before,
even though we we're reading the Bible
consecutively, the Bible isn't laid out
chronologically.
It's it's laid out thematically.
And for us to understand the the context
of Hagi chapter 2 verse4, we have to
know the historical context. So we're
going to touch on that first. But before
we begin, let's ask God to bless our
time. Father, again, what an honor and
privilege to be in your house to listen
to your word. We ask now that the Holy
Spirit of God would be our teacher that
he would find open minds and open
hearts. And we pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.
Well, again to understand the message of
Haga, you have to understand its
historical context. And as you recall,
we we've shared many many times
Israel United Kingdom. They under under
Saul, David, Solomon.
But Solomon fell into sin and serious
idolatry.
The kingdom was split north and south.
The northern kingdom was conquered by
Assyria.
And then the and then hund a few hundred
years later, the southern kingdom was
taken over by Babylon.
And part of this there was three
invasions from Babylon but led by King
Nebuchadnezzar.
And this was during those three
invasions he was God was using uh Cy the
Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon to actually
punish the people for their idolatry for
their sin.
God was faithful and still had the
prophets speaking, warning them that
judgment was coming, but they wouldn't
listen.
So, they didn't listen to Isaiah,
Jeremiah or Ezekiel, they weren't
listening. And in the end, the city was
destroyed, the temple was destroyed, and
the people were taken to Babylon for 70
years. And this is known as the exile.
However,
at the end of the 70 years,
God allowed uh God allowed Cyrus and the
Mes and Persians to conquer the
Babylonian Empire. And amazingly,
God used a pagan king, King Cyrus, to
allow the Jews to go back to Jerusalem.
And he gave them a very special mission
as well. verses uh one and two of Ezra
1. Now in the first year of of Cyrus,
king of Persia, in order to fulfill the
Lord, the word of the Lord by the mouth
of Jeremiah,
the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus,
king of Persia, so that he sent a
proclamation throughout all the kingdom,
all his kingdom. He also put it in
writing, saying, "Thus says Cyrus, king
of Persia, the Lord, the God of heaven,
has given me all the kingdoms of the
earth, and he has appointed me to build
him a house in Jerusalem, which is in
Judea."
This is an amazing, stunning
announcement. Here is this. We would say
in our vernacular, we would say here's a
pagan king that it says the Lord has
stirred his heart.
Says the the Lord has stirred. He he
refers to him as the Lord the God of
heaven. And he's given him a special a
special mission. And what was that
mission? To build him a place of worship
in Jerusalem.
Now, last week we spoke about God's
sovereignty. We're looking at we were in
Daniel and we talked about God's
sovereignty.
And I gave you three different case
studies. Well, this could be very
similar. This this could be number four
in the same vein because once again, God
is in control. He's in control of this
world. and he used Cyrus as a tool in
his hands. And in fact, this event right
here was prophesied
by the prophet Isaiah some 150 years
earlier. Listen to what Isaiah said.
Is Isaiah 44:28 451.
It is I who says of Cyrus, he is my
shepherd and he will perform all my
desire. And he and he declares of
Jerusalem, she shall be bu she will be
built. Excuse me. She will be built and
of the temple your foundation will be
laid. Thus says the Lord to Cyrus his
anointed whom I have taken by the right
hand to subdue nations before him and to
loose the loins of kings to open doors
before him so that gates will not be
shut.
God is speaking here through Isaiah. And
what is he doing? He's calling Cyrus
150 years in the early earlier. He's
calling him my shepherd, his anointed.
In in further adustation that this is
God's plan, that God is in control, his
sovereignty. Even uh Ezra 1:1, he
confirms that what Cyrus is doing is
fulfilling the prophecies given by
Jeremiah. And actually those prophecies
are Jeremiah 25:12
and Jeremiah 29:10.
Then Isa Ezra chapter 1:es 3 and 4 goes
on, "Whoever there is among you of all
his his people, may his God be with him.
Let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in
Judah, and rebuild the house of the
Lord, the God of Israel. He is the God
who is in Jerusalem. Every survivor
at whatever place he may live, let the
let the men of that place support him in
silver and gold with goods and cattle
together with free will offering of the
house of God which is in Jerusalem.
This is the proclamation that the king,
king Cyrus is making throughout the
Persian Empire.
You see, God had given him this task and
he's saying to fulfill that mission,
Cyrus was encouraging the people of
Israel to return to return to Jerusalem
and rebuild their own temple. He's
empowering the Jewish people to what? to
go back, reclaim their heritage,
reclaim their identity. They were
crushed. Absolutely crushed. God's
chosen people.
And the prophecy was like someone that
takes the plate and turns it over or
someone wipes a dish. That's what God
did to them.
The city was gone. the beautiful temple,
Solomon's temple that that was
constructed over eight years, that was
gone. Everything was gone. The walls
were they couldn't believe it. But you
see, the 70 years was up and now Cyrus
is saying, "Go back. Go back." He's
allowing the Jewish people to go back
and encouraging everybody
to be a part of it. And it's it is
interesting because they use the word
free will offering.
If uh you remember last year when or
this year even when we were going
through Exodus and we were talking about
building a tabernacle,
God never mandated offerings that would
go to build the tabernacle or here even
the temple. It's a free will offering.
Every man whose heart moves them. It's
not forced. You folks are here today.
It's a rainy day, right? Is it rainy?
Yes, I see. It's Chiso. Okay. It's the
holidays. We're missing a lot of folks.
But isn't it amazing? God brought God
brought other people here today. And I
told uh I told Ellen I said there's not
going to be too many there today and you
know don't well praise God knows and
appreciate you our visitors you making
the effort to come and be a part of soul
union church this morning.
So
Cyrus gave this proclamation. He told
the mission and he said, "This is the
method. You Jewish people, go back and
do it."
And King Cyrus, he did his part as well
because he he gave to them 5,400 pieces
of gold and silver, the holy objects
that Nebuchadnezzar stole from the
temple, from Solomon's temple
originally.
And these were it it says these were
given to Shezbar
the king of Judah whom he had appointed
governor. He was the one whom uh he w he
he was the one with whom as he went back
all those that went back there's a
there's a accounting of them and they
totaled 43,000
360 Jewish exiles that went back with
Bazar back to Jerusalem to build the
temple. Now it it is interesting. It's a
historical foot, but this was the
largest. There was two other caravans
that would go years later, but this was
the largest group. Most of the Jewish
people did not return. Most of the
Jewish people did not return. But
Shazbazar,
he's only mentioned four times in the
Bible. And yet elsewhere in the Bible
when we read about that first group
coming we hear the name of uh we
Zerubbable
Zerubbable was the recognized leader who
led them back who helped set up the
altar and who laid the foundation of
what we call the second temple
and uh he's he's the one that the Bible
recognized throughout even Nehemiah 12:1
1 says that he led the group and Hag
Hagi 1:1 describes him as the governor
of Judah.
And this leads us to a mystery. It's a
genealogical mystery and you have to pay
attention because there's a special
there there's so many special insights
from this. But so Cyrus
gives the the gives the charge to sees
Basar.
But in the Bible as we read we read over
and over uh about not Zezar
but Zerubbabel.
So who was Sees Bazar and who was
Serubbable?
And the answers to this is a
genealological mystery. Hungalo what?
Cho.
>> Okay. Now the Koreans are very family.
You know Chisok is very important.
Right. And that's where you typically
families go. Chay's got to go all the
way to Busan. All the way to Busan to be
with his family. And you know in America
when we get married usually the wife
takes the husband's surname okay not in
Korea because the family name is very
important and you trace that genealogy.
Well it's very very similar the Jewish
people. So let's let's go through this
mystery and let's start with Zerubbable.
Surprisingly, the Bible says that
Zerubbabel
is called both the son of Padaya and the
son of Sheiel.
So,
two fathers,
same person, two fathers. That doesn't
help our mystery, does it? It doesn't
solve anything. Well, we know the Bible
isn't wrong. The Bible's right. But how
can one man have two fathers?
Well, it was possible in Jewish society
because they had something called
leverate marriage.
Leveritate marriage.
Leveritate marriage is mentioned by
Moses in Deuteronomy 25 and 6. And
basically it was when you had a family
or two families, brothers living
together
and the one brother he passes away. He
dies and he's childish. He's childless.
I should say childless.
And according to Moses and Deuteronomy
25, the duty of the brother was to take
the the dead brother's wife uh the dead
brother's wife as a wife for the for the
next brother and through her to produce
a child and that child would be counted
as a child of the deceased brother. Now
this had a point to it. his firstborn
son. It would it would it would be it
would give the the name and the legacy
of that deceased brother would continue.
Now it's not his biological father but
it it becomes his legal father and the
the uh scripture mentions that
the scripture mentioned that his name
would not be blotted out from Israel.
God wanted the people of Israel to be
big families, very fertile. And this
this was also protecting the the widow
so that she would not be living in
poverty. It would protect the preserve
the inheritance and just continue the
growth of the family.
Now,
this is what I believe happened in this
case. We're talking about Zerubbable.
Zerubbable his biological father was
Pedia and his legal fathers was Shitiel.
While in Babylon remember they have been
they are in Babylon. He was born in
Babylon. Sheiel was married but died
childless.
His brother Pad Padia took Shitiel's
widow in accordance with the leveret law
and
Zerubbabel was born. And that's how in
the scriptures we read Zerubbable
was the son of two different men.
And so that's how he he came to be
recognized in that fashion.
uh it's also how he became acknowledged
as the leader of the Jewish of the
Jewish returnees the Jewish exiles
because remember who was the first
governor
the first governor was basar well
scholars believe that Pedia's
Babylonian name was Basar
so shez Bazar was was actually his
biological father, his biological
father. And so when they went back to
Jerusalem,
between the time of arrival and the time
that they began to organize and uh build
start rebuilding the temple. They
started with the altar and then they
laid a foundation. In between that time,
Shezbazar passed away
and as his son Zerubbabel stepped up and
became recognized.
But there's more to the story. There's
more to the story. Zerubbabable's other
father, remember two fathers, Pedo and
Sheiel.
CTL is also recorded as having two
different fathers.
It's complicated. I told you it's
complicated. The And so we have to we
have to look at him. We have to look at
his his records. And this is the amazing
thing.
His genealogical records are at a very
very special location.
And the two locations are Matthew
chapter 1 verses 1-17
and Luke chapter 3 verses 23-38.
And why is that special? What's special
is those are the two passages that give
the genealogy of Jesus Christ.
this we're going to see how God is
sovereign again and God chose Zerubbable
to be a key link in this in our gospel
story.
Well, let's talk about Matthew's
genealogy.
Matthew's genealogy begins with Abraham.
Okay, Genesis chapter 3 verse one.
Abraham
begins with Abraham and ends with Jesus.
So it is it's descending in time and it
emphasizes the royal covenant lineage of
Jesus through David's son Solomon.
All right.
Well, Luke's genealogy is different.
It actually begins with Jesus
and goes all the way back to Adam. It
goes back with a Adam and it emphasizes
Jesus connection to all of mankind
through David's son Nathan.
And look, let's look what let's look
what Matthew 1 uh 11 and 12 say. Josiah
became the father of Jeconai, Jeconiah
and his brothers. And at the time of the
deportation to Babylon after the
deportation of Babylon, Jeconiah became
the father of Shitiel. Sheiel the father
of Zerubbabible.
Now this is again Matthew 1. This is the
genealogy of Jesus. So Sheiel's father's
name was Jeconiah.
But as we have covered, we know him
better by a different name. It was King
Jehoachin,
the grandson of Josiah who was uh in the
king Jehoachin was kidnapped by
Nebuchadnezzar and taken to Babylon.
And that's why Zarabul
and Shitel were born in Babylon.
Luke's genealogy is different. Luke 3 27
says, "The son of Zerubbabable, the son
of Sheiel, the son of Ner."
Okay,
so wait a second. Is wait, you have the
two names there.
GTL's father is Ner in one in Luke and
his father is Jeconiah in Matthew.
It seems that Sees Basar's life or
Sheiel's life was impacted by the lever
at marriage as well. Biologically he was
the son of Jeconiah or Jehoachin.
Legally, he was the son of Nari.
Now, you think, "Wait a minute, Robert.
I didn't come here to get all this
genealogy."
We read our Bibles and we get to the
genealogical part and guess what? We
pass by, right? Um, and but you can't do
that. You can't do that. And I'll show
you why. And I've already given you a
hit. It's not boring. It is so exciting.
It's thrilling. In fact, I'm going to
show you a chart. Look at the chart.
This is a chart from connecting David to
Zerubbabable.
David to Zerubbabable. Okay. So, Matthew
Matthew 1 16-13.
Solomon. Okay, remember David Dary David
married Basheba and had Solomon.
This is the line that's given in Matthew
1. This is the royal line. This is the
royal line. And we see down here then to
and then we see Jeaniah Jehoachin
Shiel.
Now look at Luke.
Okay. David,
Solomon here. Luke, David, Nathan.
David, Nathan, another son with whom?
Basheba.
Another son of Basheba. And then we see
the genealogy
comes down. I mentioned Ner
here. Jeeconiah is the father of Sheiel.
Here Ner's the father of of Sheiel.
Zerubbable.
Zerubbable.
So what is the significance of it? Well,
here's the here's the significance of
it.
God made a promise, a covenant
relationship with
um David
and he made he made a a covenant
relationship with David
and we can see the two lines. Zerubbable
had a double connection to both sides of
this family.
through David through Solomon
and David through Nathan. And Zerubbable
is a link to both of these lineages.
Here you see it, David, Solomon, David,
Nathan.
The connection to Zerubbable. And then
as you continue the Matthew 1, Luke 3,
the the connection to Jesus Christ and
the family of Christ here, this side,
Joseph, this side, the family of Mary.
You see,
God God was doing something so
important. putting Zerubbabable who has
a double connection to not only
David and the devetic covenant that he
promised in in that we'll see in second
Samuel 7 but also connected to David's
descendant Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ and so he is a he's a
connector between these these two
and the covenant that that uh God made
with David
in 2 Samuel chapter 7. He says this in
verses 12 and 13. Let's read read that
for me. Read 12 and 13 for me. When your
days are complete and you lie down with
your fathers, I will raise up your
descendant after you. we will form forth
from you and I will establish his
kingdom. He shall build a house for my
name and I will establish the throne of
his kingdom forever. Let's go ahead and
read 16. Your house and your kingdom
shall endure before me forever. Your
throne shall be established.
>> What what verb I mean what word do you
see over and over and over? Forever.
Forever. Forever.
The promise
is that God made a God made a promise
with David that his descendant would
reign forever.
And and uh this was a solemn solemn
promise. Now obviously
this was made that the promise
ultimately is going to be fulfilled in
whom? Jesus Christ.
But Zerubbabable's coming
to to Jerusalem is symbolic of what?
Symbolic of God's glory. Symbolic of
God's bless blessing is once again
returning to Jerusalem. Once again
returning to the Jewish people.
beforehand
the prophets over and over and over they
warned them turn from your sins, turn
from your from these idols. Even
remember Solomon, the wisest man that
ever lived, the richest man that ever
lived. his foreign wives turned his
heart away and he he got into all kinds
of things including child sacrifice,
all the wicked things.
The Bible says he loved these women. He
held fast to them in love.
He lost his love for God and that the
kingdom was split and then just the
people began to live like the people of
the land.
without any restraint,
without any and they ignored, they
persecuted Jeremiah. They ignored all
the prophets
and then God said, "That's it." And he
allowed them to lose everything to be
wiped out. 70 years. 70 years they were
held in exile. 70 years the the city was
destroyed.
Everything was gone.
But God in his mercy and grace, he had
made a covenant promise to David.
And after 70 years, guess what?
David's descendant is back. He's back.
And he it and and he has this double
connection
to not only the ancestor but he the
descendant as well.
And it's a it's just an it's an amazing
story. It's a thrilling story. And
again, yeah, genealogy, you have to wade
through it. You never know it unless you
really dig in and get to the details.
Zerubbable,
we call this a post exilic
period after the exile and he became the
second governor in Judah and he was
called upon to do.
What was his job again? You remember
what did Cyrus make the proclamation?
What was it? Talk to me.
Ah, come on. Wake up now. Build the
what?
>> Build the temple.
To build the temple again. To build the
temple where the where the people, the
Jewish people could go and worship God
again.
And who was going to build it? Zubable.
this one that has this unique line both
royal and legal to step in and do it and
a descendant
a descendant ancestor.
He has this he has this special
position.
Now you think about how challenging
that is. You think about how challenging
that is.
Zerubbabable's father,
but his fathers, I should say fathers
plural, they're born. They're they're
from Babylon.
Zerubbabel him Zerubbable himself. He's
from Babylon.
He knows he he understands he has this
heritage that he's a son of a king. He's
in this royal line.
But the only thing he's never he he has
no image of of Jerusalem whatsoever. No
image whatsoever.
And then suddenly
this proclamation from the most mighty
power in the world, the king of the
Persian Empire says, "Build a temple. Go
back and build a temple
for the God of Israel."
And when that opportunity came, what did
he do? He responded. He responded.
Sheazar
Padaya was his Padia was was his father,
right? And he went, but he stepped into
that role. He stepped into that role.
And you think about the challenge that
was to lead these 42,000
plus. And we're going to see next week
as we they faced all kinds of obstacles,
all kinds of oppositions.
And he uh Zerubbabable had the faith and
the and the encouragement
uh to go forward and do it. I should say
encouragement. Courage. He had the
courage to do that. And as I mentioned,
he must have sensed that this was his
destiny. that God had been preparing him
his whole life for this particular
mission.
Ambassador Her, he read Hagi 2:4
together. Let's read it. Let's read it
together one more time. But now take
courage, Zerubbabel, declares the Lord.
Take courage also, Joshua the son of Zo
Zodiac the high priest. And all you
people of the land, take courage,
declares the Lord, and work for I am
with you, declares the Lord of hosts.
This is God speaking to the people,
Zerubbabel, to the priest, and to the
people. He's speaking to them through
the prophet Hagi.
And these words are powerful.
The words are powerful. Take courage.
Take courage. Next. What? Work.
Work.
Why? I am with you. Yeah. Repeat that
after me. Take courage.
>> Work.
>> Work. For I am with you.
>> for I am with you.
>> You know, we're we're going to finish a
little early today because I know some
of you have to travel. I know Chay has
to travel. We're going to finish early
today.
But I want you to remember these words
this week because we need the we need
these words in our daily lives. We'll
say it one more time. Take courage.
>> Take courage. work
>> work
>> for I am with you.
>> for I am with you.
>> These are words I want you to think
about and remember
u as as you go throughout the day the
the this week as you go through this
week each each and every day. We need
this in our personal lives don't we?
We need it in our personal lives. Take
courage. Why? Because there's things
that what? Discourage us. We get we're
disappointed. We hear things in the
news.
We worry about things.
Um I don't know about Korea. In America,
you know, Chisok is what it's what you
say like Korean Thanksgiving. Well,
America too, back in the old days, the
families, they gather together.
And then what do they say when the
people visit and the parents,
particularly the parents and the kids,
and they'll say, "Well, we were glad to
see them come. We're glad to see them
go." You know, families, they can be
together and it's good for at the
beginning and everybody's happy, but
then time passes and suddenly
some things happen. Well, I hope you
don't have that experience during this
choke holiday.
But we need the we need these words.
Take courage
work. Do the do the work. If God gives
you a task to do, do it in our personal
lives. And then what is this? Soul Union
Church. as a church, as a body of
believers who are building a spiritual
tabernacle here
work
our members, our visitors. We, you know,
we have to be good hosts for our
visitors and we want to encourage them.
And then never ever forget
right there for I'm with you. I'm with
you. you know, you you who are
foreigners,
uh I know in my case, my home is 7,000
miles away,
but you know, I'm never alone. Why?
Because God is with me. And God's going
to watch over you and he's going to
provide for your needs. And it's a again
message we need in our personal lives.
It's a message that we need here at Soul
Union as we build our spiritual sanctu
sanctuary that's going to honor and
glorify God. Next week we'll look at the
second part of this sermon and we'll
focus again and hear some encouragement
from from Zerubbabible and the prophets
Hagi and Zechariah. Let's pray.
Heavenly Father,
how amazing your word.
How amazing your work.
You are sovereign God.
You know the end from the beginning.
You're the alpha and omega,
Lord. All things happen according to
your will.
And as we've read a historical account
today,
we're reminded once again of your
magnificent power. How you could take a
foreign leader, a pagan king, and use
him as your tool
to restore your people back to the land.
And then to lead them, you choose the
most perfect person of all,
Zerubbabable,
who has two distinct links
to not only King David but also Jesus
himself.
Lord, help us to learn from this. Help
us to remember that you are in control.
Lord, help us to take courage
to to not lose heart to get discouraged
and walk away from you. Lord, help us to
work to remember the tasks that you give
us to do each and every day, whether big
or small,
and particularly here at Soul Union
Church, that we would do our part to
make ourselves
a a solid spiritual sanctuary
where your name can be glorified
and that people can be blessed.
And Lord, for all of us, Father, we
remember for I am with you. Help us to
never forget that, to put that in our
hearts, to put that in our minds. And we
pray all this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Please stand. And we're going to sing a
wonderful old traditional hymn. Are you
washed in the blood?
Have you been to Jesus cleansing?
Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?
Are you fully trusting in his grace?
Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?
Heat. Heat.
[Music]
Why is Are you washed in the blood?
Are you
[Music]
Are you in the blood?
Do you see
why you
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
[Music]
Heat. Heat. Heat.
[Music]
Heat. Heat.
[Applause]
[Music]
Yeah.
[Music]
Heat.
[Music]
Heat. Heat.
[Music]
Oh,
[Music]
heat,
heat.
Let's pray.
What a challenging question. Are you
washed in the blood of the lamb?
Almighty God, I pray that each one
that's present today, each one washing
watching online, Lord, that they would
be washed in the blood of the lamb, that
they would know Jesus Christ as their
personal Lord and Savior. They would
confess their sins, acknowledge who they
are before a holy God, and ask him to
forgive them of their sins, and receive
Jesus
as their savior and lord. We pray you
fill each one of us, God, with the Holy
Spirit so that truly we can live above
the circumstances,
live above the pressures of this sinful
world that's passing away.
And now may the Lord bless you and keep
you. May the Lord make his face shine
upon you and be gracious to you. May the
Lord lift up his countenance upon you
and and give you peace. In Jesus name I
pray. Amen.
>> Amen.
God is so good.
God is so good.
God is so good. He's so good to me.
God is so
[Music]
