The famous Stuttgart Christmas Market (German: Stuttgarter Weihnachtsmarkt) is held in the heart of the city centre.
The market is spread over several charming squares such as Marktplatz, Schillerplatz, Schlossplatz and Karlsplatz, each bringing its own character.
Around 300 stalls offer handcrafted decorations, wooden toys, sweet treats, and local specialties.
One visually striking detail: the roofs of the little wooden huts are elaborately decorated, giving the whole market a fairy-tale look.
The atmosphere is rich with scents of mulled wine (Glühwein), roasted chestnuts, sizzling sausages, and winter spices—ideal footage for creating a cozy seasonal mood.
The Stuttgarter Weihnachtsmarkt in 2025 will run from 26 November to 23 December 2025.
Opening hours: typically Sunday–Thursday from around 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and Friday/Saturday evenings often extend to 10:00 pm.
