Berlin's growing Indian community brings
more than students, scholars, and
professionals. It's also adding to the
city's diverse culture. Here are three
tips to explore the best of Berlin's
Indian vibe. My first tip is to attend
an Indian festival if you have the
chance. And the best time for that is
from August to October when many
festivals are celebrated
>> like Ganesha, one of the most important
festivals for the Hindu community. And
then of course there's Navatri and
Diwali which are big colorful festivals
full of music, dancing, food and a
joyful vibe. And the best thing, it's
not just Hindus or Indians. People of
all religions and ethnicities come
together to join the fun. My second tip,
visit the Ganesha Temple in the Hazen
Haidra Park.
>> The temple has intricate and beautiful
architecture, and it's free to visit for
all people everyday between 400 p.m. to
6:00 p.m. And of course, no trip is
complete without food. Berlin has a lot
of good Indian restaurants to choose
from. Here at Spice Junction, I
recommend having the street food. Bonus
tip, try to visit on a Saturday when all
the live counters are set up just like
real street food stalls in India.
>> The cholelay coch and masara dosa are my
favorites and don't forget the sweets.
>> They have a wide variety of authentic
desserts and the dessert menu is
regularly updated with new items. Which
cultural experiences in Berlin should we
try
