there. Oh, hello. It's springtime, baby.
You guys may or may not know about me
that spring is kind of by far my
favorite season. specifically spring
verging on summer. We're talking May,
June. We're not quite there yet, but
close enough. And of course, we're going
to go hit some of my favorite New York
spots now that we are no longer in the
debt of winter. And obviously, you're
coming with me. Don't even kid yourself.
At first, I have something embarrassing
to tell you guys. I was just ming myself
up inside, i.e. putting my little
microphone on. And the way it works,
like the cord runs down my shirt and
then it attaches to, you know, you try
to make it look kind of discreet. So, I
kind of have it here or sometimes in the
back. And anyways, it reminded me of
this time I was doing a real estate
tour. I've done a couple of them on my
channel. And I don't know if I was
nervous or what it was. I don't think I
was nervous, but anyway, I was in front
of the real estate agents in this
really, really, really nice property.
And I was there ming myself up in front
of them and somehow someway the mic pack
ends up through my fly. Like, this is
how it ended up. And then I remember
trying to play it off like, "Oh, that'll
work. I'll just go like, no, it won't
work, actually." So anyway, I ended up
unbuttoning my pants and fixing it, but
I just don't know how that happened.
Now, let's go explore New York a bit,
shall

we? Coffee, coffee, coffee. Hot
Americano. Wo wo wo. What? Springtime,
baby. Time for cold beverages. Oh,
that's true. I can make an iced
Americano. No, no, no. I'm talking
something nice and smooth. Cold brew.
Yes, ma'am. Did you make that? Sure did.
Wait, how did you get into my house?
Details don't matter, sweetheart. Okay.
Do you like cold brew? Yeah, I freaking
love cold brew. It's just like $8
anywhere that I go and I've never made
it myself. So, I've got you covered. Oh,
so besides breaking and entering. Well,
Trade has you covered. Trade? Here, try
this. Yeah. Trade Coffee Coffee
subscription company, you know. Oh,
yeah. Actually, well, they've teamed up
with 15 expert roasters to source the
best beans and make a killer cold brew
kit. Wow, this is smooth. Sure is. And
guess what? Love it. For a limited time,

spring.
Wow, it is nice. Spoiler alert, you'll
see I'm wearing my my jacket. It's still
quite chilly, but it's sunny and it's
beautiful and that's all I can ask
about. Well, well, well, if it isn't my
trusty
Stevie. You guys know where I helmet.
Always on the
mail and how you turn completely
into so

easily
really beautiful. So many blooming
[Music]
flowers. You see that smooth docking
process? I don't know how this footage
is going to come out, but what a
beautiful ride that just was.
[Music]
So
cute. Did you guys see that
Cavalier? Oh. Oh my
goodness. Like a little bear. Guys,
there is unlimited footage to get. It's
every corner looks freaking like a movie
set. It's crazy. It is so
beautiful. Fantastic cocktails. Pretty
much as good as they get. Hi. How are
you? Good. Good, thanks. Um, do you guys
just have regular drink coffee? Yeah.
I'll do a small, please. Yes. Right
here, please. What? Yes, please. Thank
you. Thank you so
much. Oh my god, you guys. I didn't get
footage, but as I was sitting in there
drinking my coffee, I started chatting
up the woman next to me. She has lived
here in the heart of West Village since
1977. and she's got that incredible rent
stabiliz situation and I told her I am
jealous. We were talking about the
weather and how it's still kind of
chilly in the spring, blah blah blah.
And then I brought up how cold this
winter was and she totally agreed. And
then I asked her what the coldest winter
she's ever had in New York was. And she
said that there was an insane blizzard
like over 30 years ago where they
literally closed the Lincoln Tunnel. Her
aunt who lived in Jersey had to crash on
her couch for a while. And uh just so
cool. I love talking to New Yorkers who
have been here for a really long time.
They all have very good stories and
experiences to share. Anyways, fun fact.
I was actually going to not come to West
Village because I feel like I come here
in every single video, but then I docked
my bike in West Village and I was like,
I'm not leaving. It's so
pretty. Hey, let's catch up a little
bit, shall we? So, I'm back in the city
after almost a full month of traveling,
which is a huge privilege. which we'll
talk about in a second, but started in
New York. Obviously, went home to
California to see the parents and then
from there flew to Korea. After that,
Vietnam and then Taiwan for a wedding of
a very, very good YouTube friend of
mine, Chloe Shei, who I'm sure a lot of
you guys know. So much fun. I only knew
a handful of people there, other
creators, but had an absolute blast. And
Chloe really knows how to freaking put
on a production, let me tell you that.
After Taiwan, I went back to California
for a day or two and then to Houston for
another wedding. I was a plus one at
this wedding, but my god, was it fun.
And it actually wasn't in Houston
proper. It was in the countryside on a
friend's ranch and it was oh my god, it
was stunning. Anyway, I had a thought.
So, while I was gone during this month
of travel, I I worked plenty. I filmed a
ton of videos, which I'm so excited to
edit. Those will come out like mid next
month. But, for the most part, I was
able to just get up and go travel for a
month. And I don't know, sometimes I
verge on the cusp of everything I talk
about in my vlogs being about how
grateful I am for my job. But gosh darn
it, I have to say it. If you told Taylor
in management consulting 2 years ago
that she'd be able to just get up kind
of whenever, go see the world, travel
with my mom, travel with friends, and
yeah, work while I'm there, but like I
want to work. I don't know, man. I just
don't know how I got so lucky. It's a
good life. Anyway, all that being said,
I am thrilled to be back in New York
City. Still the best city in the world.
You're telling me you know what you
mean. But when I turn the lights
off, it's all so
clear. Never actually been in there
before. Actually, I have, but it's been
a long time. It's like a very famous
news magazine store in the West Village.
Oh my god. And here's a little attached
coffee shop. Fun. I do not need another
one though. No, I do not.
[Music]
Mine walks the same exact way. Anyway, I
just tracked him down and pet him for
like several minutes. Can't help myself.
It's an addiction. It really
[Music]
is. And finally, would this be a Taylor
Bell video if I didn't take you to this
corner? No, it would not. Famously, my
favorite corner in New York City, me and
many, many other people. This is Liv
Tyler's old place and it's just so
insanely beautiful. And I know what it
looks like on the inside because I've
watched the Architectural Digest tour of
it like 30,000
[Music]
times. My next
musing, that's kind of what my vlogs
are. I I show you New York City and then
and then you have to listen to my
musings. But that's kind of is what I'm
about to talk about, which is sharing my
musings. So, I've talked about this
before, but I am doubling down on how
great it is to share your interests with
other people. Oh, so cute. Oh my god,
did you guys see that? And again, it's
just one of my favorite parts about my
job. Like, having this channel talking
about things that I find interesting has
already deepened existing relationships
that I had where maybe a friend of mine
will watch the video and they'll really
resonate with something that I said and
then they'll text me about it
afterwards. more and more of my friends
are doing this, whether they're writing
like Substacks if they're good writers
or writing movie reviews. Look at all
these
flowers. So pretty. Or they design like
a quarterly magazine and source
submissions from their friends. So my
point is, if you're even considering
doing this or you really want to start
something kind of creative or whatever,
just do it. At the very least, it will
help you reconnect with some maybe like
creative hobby that you used to like
doing, especially if you don't get to
flex that muscle in your job, which is
the case for a lot of people. I just
think it's a great outlet. And very
recently, I received a very, very cool
byproduct of sharing my enthusiasm for a
particular institution. I'll show you
when we get home, but share your
interests. All right. As much as I would
love to meander around West Village for
the rest of my entire life, we actually
have to get home for a really cool
thing, I'll show you guys. And then we
also have fun plans later tonight. Kind
of a packed day. Like chill, but packed
at the same time. You know what I mean?
And as always, obviously you're coming
with me. Duh.
Yeah. Yeah. I really hope you love me,
too. Yeah. Yeah. I really hope you love
me, too.
Yeah. Yeah.
Guess who it
is. Trusty Steed.
Hello. So, here's a cool one for you.
Oh, don't mind my huge donate trash bag.
A couple months ago, I was talking with
a friend about what brands would be like
my dream brands to work with. And I was
like, Apple would be my dream brand, but
I don't think they work with creators,
and that would just be like one of my
wildest dreams, you know? Fast forward a
couple weeks later, I get an email from
Apple and I I open it and I'm like,
"That's not real." You get a lot of scam
emails, you know. And then I look up the
sender of the email on
LinkedIn. Definitely real. And then
there I am a couple weeks later at an
Apple event getting to look at some of
the new products, get my hands on them,
get demos, just like so cool. I don't
even consider myself well I'm definitely
not a tech channel but I will say
through having this job I've definitely
become more technical like I geek out on
laptop specs. Video editing has become
like a second language to me and I love
it so so much. But anyway, I'm about to
chat with Apple again in just a little
bit. Before we do that though, something
I want to show you guys. So I get home
from my month of travel, right? I'm here
opening the PR packages and just
whatever came while I was gone for
almost full month and then I get this
package and remember how I said there
was a cool byproduct of me sharing my
enthusiasm for a specific institution on
the interwebs? Well, I got an email from
someone right before I left for my trip
saying that they also loved Trader
Joe's. And not only that they loved it,
but that they literally wrote a book
talking about all the different art and
cool unique things about Trader Joe's.
And she went to 100 plus different
locations to get the information for
this book. She asked if she could send
me a copy and I said, "I would be
honored if you would send me a copy."
So, first of all, if that's not the
cutest wrapping you've ever seen, I
don't know what is. I thought we'd open
it together. So cool. Oh my god. This
This is a Trader Joe's card. A card from
Trader Joe's. Very on the nose. Dear
Taylor, thank you for all the joy and
positivity you bring into this world
through your videos. I hope you enjoy my
book, The Art of Trader Joe's. Wishing
you all the best, Julie. Of course, I'm
going to link all this stuff. See what I
mean? It actually still blows my mind
that this could come of sharing stuff on
the internet. That is just so cool.
Thank you, Julie. I haven't even opened
your book yet, and I'm like emotional.
Okay, let's see. Oh my god. The Art of
Trader Joe's: Discovering the Hidden Art
Gems of America's Favorite Grocery Store
by Julie Averbach. I hope I'm saying
that right. Wow, that is so cool. Oh,
and an inscription. Taylor, from one
Trader Joe's enthusiast to another. I
hope you enjoy the book. Check out page
96 and 97 for the East Village store.
She knows cuz that's the one I toured.
It's my favorite location. Wait, this is
insane. It shows the art on specific
Trader Joe's items and the inspiration.
Like, this is digging deep, y'all. Oh my
god, Julie, you're a beast. Okay, let me
go to the East Village location. Oh,
flipped right to it. East Village
details. Oh my god. Yes. So, this is the
map and this is what I showed in my
video. Peter Arl's drawings that show
spotlights of different East Village
neighborhood gems. This is just so so
cool. My
god. Share your interests. Share your
work. Thank you, Julie. This is I'm
blown away by your
[Music]
work. Great call. Apple's so cool.
Anyways, we're headed to Brooklyn and
I'm running a little bit late, so I just
called
[Music]
neighbor on the outside looking in. I
really wasn't sure what I was
getting between the high waves on the
sea. Waiting for something to get to
me. I wasn't sure what I was. What's up,
vlog? We just got one of our favorite
Thai restaurants in Fort Green called
All right. How is this pronounced? We
say suck, but I'm pretty sure it's not
suck.
It's suck. You think it's suck? So,
anyway, naturally forgot to film in
there, but a great end to the evening.
Any other fun and spicy questions for
me, anonymous friend? Uh, are you
excited for spring? I am excited for
spring. We're in the spring, but it's
freaking cold. I'm excited for spring
summer. Anything else? Give me a spicy
question. I have nothing spicy. Well,
give me something really spicy. I have
nothing spicy.
All right. Well, like and subscribe.
Till next
time. I had a whole dance in mind, but
now I'm nervous. A like and subscribe
dance. I don't want to do it
anymore. No. No. It's the moment's fast.
Until next time, turtle out. Will I ever
make a different kind of intro? Probably
not. I like this one. At least today I'm
going to somersault out of bed. That's
pretty spunky. Hang on. I think my
camera is
smudgy. Guys, whenever I see a cavler
king Charles spaniel, I just can't keep
I can't maintain my focus. He's coming
this way. Spring foliage. So cute. I
have one
myself. That one's chunky, too, just
like mine. Wait, hang on. That's That's
not a good example.
Spring foliage. Okay. Delusional.
