NARRATOR: Between once upon a
time and happily ever after,
rivals meet, and
legends are forged.
Welcome to the Great Hall of
Rivals, where we're celebrating
the legend of two unlikely
friends who save their city
from a rival with a
plan so villainous,
that it really gave them pause.
What do you mean, they
already have paws?
Oh, oh, like their feet
and hands are paws.
Oh, yes, that's very good.
Now in Zootopia,
bunnies like Judy Hopps
were seen as too small and
meek to join the police force.
But that didn't stop her
from joining the force
and taking down the bad guys.
Well, people who illegally
park could be seen as bad, hmm?
[CASH REGISTER RINGING]
And Nick Wilde couldn't
shake the reputation
that foxes were untrustworthy.
He may not have helped
that reputation,
but eventually Judy
partnered with Nick
to find a missing otter.
But how did a small bunny and
a fox land such a big case
They had help from the
seemingly kind Assistant Mayor
of Zootopia Dawn Bellwether.
However, looks can be deceiving.
She may have looked unassuming,
but she was actually
a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Yes, I suppose
technically, she was
a sheep in business
casual clothing,
but it's just an expression.
Either way, after years of being
overlooked and underestimated
because of her
appearance and species,
Dawn decided the only
way for a prey like her
to get the power she
wanted was to make
it look like all predators
were too dangerous to have it.
How exactly?
That brings us back
to the case at hand.
Judy and Nick
needed to work fast.
[CREAKING]
Yes, in this one
particular instance,
they were working very slowly.
But in general, time
was of the essence.
You see, through
their investigation,
they found that something was
causing animals to go savage.
They were determined to
get to the bottom of this.
And nothing, I mean
nothing, could stop them.
[TWINKLING]
OK, well, that wasn't ideal.
But they continued
their investigation
and found their
otter, along with
several other missing animals,
who had all gone savage.
However, without any evidence
of what was causing that,
Judy jumped to the
conclusion that it must just
be their nature as predators, a
claim that Nick took personally.
With their partnership paused,
Judy left the police force
and went home.
But back on the bunny farm,
Judy had a breakthrough.
She realized that a
specific kind of flower
was being used to make
the animals go savage.
Now Judy knew what
she had to do,
but she was going to need her
old partner's help Working
together, they found a
whole train full of evidence
that proved everything.
[SCREECHING METAL]
[TWINKLING]
Oh, well, luckily, shortly after
that, Dawn, their true rival,
revealed herself.
And Nick and Judy used her
own ignorance against her,
to put Dawn behind bars.
[GROWLING]
Our heroes learned that
you cannot be defined
by your appearance or
where you come from,
but only in what you do.
Sometimes the most
sinister of rivals
can hide behind
a sheepish smile,
and the largest show of
strength can be found
in the smallest of packages.
As you can see, the battle
between these rivals
turned this regular
story into a true legend,
and Dawn was hiding in
plain sight for so long,
she, yes, she really did pull
the wool over their eyes,
like-- like sheep's wool.
Yes, very good.
