English with me Series where each week
we practice speaking English in a
different real life scenario this week
we are practicing making a medical
appointment by phone specifically making
a dental
appointment I don't know about you but
personally I hate making appointments by
phone even in my first language so I
feel like the more practice we can get
the better especially when we have to
talk on the phone our conversation today
is between a receptionist answering the
phone and a patient trying to make an
appointment for a general cleaning at a
dental clinic let's quickly go over how
this will work the first time just
listen to the complete dialogue pay
attention to the pronunciation that I'm
using and any tricky vocabulary the
second time I will read the lines of the
receptionist and you will read the lines
for the patient when it is your turn to
speak this little symbol will show up on
the screen along with your lines at the
bottom after that we will try the
conversation again but you will play the
role of the receptionist and I will play
the role of the patient if you would
like some extra practice with this
