- My name is Tina Yerestian

and I'm the owner of the Hungry Nomad food truck.

I've been working with food most of my life.

My Dad owned Savory Goods Bakery so I've grown up with food.

I love everything about the truck.

It allows you to go to places you've never been before

and be as creative as you like.

The more creative you are, the more they like what you do.

- What kind of food are we making?

- So we have three sandwiches and then one salad.

- [Tina] One of 'em is gonna be the pesto chicken sandwich.

Another one is the grilled mushroom chicken sandwich.

Moving on is a fresh salad.

It's called fattoush salad.

One of my favorite items is the blue cheese steak sandwich.

- Hi, Tina.

- Hi, there.

- Hi!

- How are you guys doing today?

- [All] Good!

- Thanks for having us.

- Can't wait to get started.

- Let's do it!

- Let's get started!

- [Tina] Alright, let's get the chicken going

and let's cut the bread.

(upbeat music)

- Alright.

- You can pull your bread off of the grill.

- This is a very handy tool.

- [Tina] Perfect, look.

Now let's get the chopped veggies in there.

Yeah, just spread it out and that's plenty.

Okay, let's get it topped with lentils.

- And we're done.

- And what do you think?

- It is so good.

That was exhilarating.

- Yeah, I do feel very, very alive.

- This was so fun.

It was unlike anything I've ever done before.

- It was a thrilling experience to man that grill.

- Tomorrow, during lunch,

we're gonna be working this food truck.

- Tomorrow's gonna be a rush.

It's gonna be wild feeding all those people at one time

but I think we can do it.

- You ready?

- I'm ready.

(laughs)

- Today's the day.

- We're running the food truck.

- We're doin' it.

- We're foodin' it up.

- I didn't know we were doing a whole hour!

(group laughs)

- We have a special assignment for Tina.

- Alright.

(group laughs)

- Oh my goodness.

- So this is Tina's relaxation chair.

(group claps)

- I think you guys are gonna do great.

- Do you have any tips?

Last minute tips or bits of advice for us?

- When tickets line up, don't panic.

Just focus, look at what you've got,

how many of each item you've got

and just throw 'em on the grill and that's it and have fun.

Don't kill each other.

(group laughs)

- We've got about 30 minutes

before people start getting here.

- 30 minutes?

- Oh my God!

(group laughs)

- I just feel like we might cause a revolt

among our co-workers.

They might push the truck over and we might just be like no!

- We still haven't figured out how to turn the grill on.

- We're gonna like write down like cheat sheets

and then we're just gonna put them here.

- Okay.

- So no one will forget.

- And then the final ingredient, guys, love.

(group laughs)

Oh, tears are, yeah, we're startin' to burn.

- Okay, so we're just like, it's almost noon,

it's like five minutes to noon.

We're just doing last minute prep stuff.

We're assigning stations.

We're gonna send Tina to her relaxation chair.

There's already a line out there and we're just kinda

just doing some deep calming breaths.

- Okay.

Oh my God, butterflies.

- (laughs) That might be right.

Who knows.

- I have to poop.

- Okay, ladies, you ready?

- [All] Yeah.

- Alright, we have steak ready to go.

- It's a good sandwich.

- Can you tell me when we have 30 minutes left?

(group screams and laughs)

Guys, we gotta make a steak sandwich with no cheese.

- Steak sandwich, no cheese.

- Yeah, so there's just a little bit of a hold-up.

- So I only waited maybe like 15 minutes

and for people who are doing this for the first time,

that's amazing.

- We're good, we're good, we're good.

We got this, we got this!

- Alright, steak.

- Yep.

- I have a salad for Megan.

- This sandwich looks amazing and they're handling it

in stride and I'm sure they're freaking out

but they're doing a great job.

- Everybody just make everything.

- [All] Okay!

- We need a pesto chicken, sorry.

Nicki, this is yours.

- Let's just take a look.

See if they, they did it right.

- The next three orders is nomad chicken, blue steak,

and another blue steak.

- They killed it.

No cheese.

So far, so good.

- I've never been more sweaty in my life.

- I have a chicken pesto for Steven?

- Oh, it's really good.

- I saw them screw up somebody's order.

It's not all heaven in that car back there.

- Well, I've never had a fattoush salad so,

there was a lot of dressing though which I'm not

quite a fan of but I like these things.

- We need like five, we have a lot of pestos.

Just keep making pestos.

- Service was great but Jen yelled at me.

(sighs) I feel like I just got my life back.

- They're just two fattoushes that are waiting

and then we're done.

- Okay, so last two salads coming up.

- I actually had a really good time.

It was stressful.

It was a range of emotions but it was great.

I liked my spot.

I really did.

I felt really in tune with the meats and the cheeses.

- I'm proud of us.

We all kept our head down.

We didn't yell at each other.

We were just focused.

- So, Tina, you did pop in about 20 minutes in.

- No, it took longer than that.

- Oh, okay.

- I'm totally always in denial when I'm drowning

so I'm actually like really glad when like Tina came in

and was just like, "Let me save you."

- Honestly, you guys did better than I thought.

Really, really!

All kidding aside.

I'm proud of you.

- I think we can take the rest of the day off.

Yep, I think that's what that means.

- I will say, there've been times I've gone to a food truck

and I've been a little bit peeved by how long

my order takes.

I will never feel that way anymore.

I completely understand and it's a miracle

that any food gets served at all.
