so another year another school year
another year of suffering God damn it
and I feel like whenever we get back in
school it's quite easy to forget the
simple habits that you could apply to
your school or university to make your
life easier we're usually motivated for
the first few weeks and then it dies
down after like a few weeks or a few
months so here are seven habits and tips
for your next school year tip number one
fix your goddamn sleep schedule ah sleep
yes you've heard of it I've heard of it
and for some reason we still can't get
enough of it it's like drugs you can't
get enough of it okay I'm just kidding
now yes this is a very very basic tip
but everyone overlooks this tip
especially when it comes to school I
know you guys will watch this and think
I already know this tip this is so
obvious
While others might think I wish I could
but I just don't have the time well
let's face it everyone on this Earth
exactly has the same amount of 24 hours
so you could set aside seven hours of
sleep okay you probably think you don't
have time well wait till we look back
when we're in our full-time jobs or
working in hospitals or companies and
we're going to think damn I had a lot of
time when I was a student now I know
after going home from school and
procrastinating on all your homework
only for you to pawn it off for the next
day you want to spend a little time
watching some movies playing some games
or doing whatever I get it I mean come
on the new Barbie movies out I want to
watch it so bad like who cares about my
homework right I could just do it
tomorrow we don't have much time in your
day so we reduce our sleep to do more
things well on the downside if you cut
your sleep schedule your whole week is
just going to look like an unproductive
mess
I'm in come on you're not even going to
be able to accomplish the things in full
energy because you're just gonna have a
shitty sleep schedule and you're just
gonna end up wanting to sleep even more
what do I do then if I cut back on my
sleep to get more time I'm just gonna
end up wasting time but then if I spend
more time sleeping I'm just gonna be
wasting time as well what the heck do I
do well no if you do allocate time for
your sleep you're going to be a lot more
productive and you're going to have more
time for other things because you're
gonna have more energy to do other
things the problem with sleeping less is
that the next day you're just going to
feel groggy the whole day you're just
going to finish your tasks in a mediocre
way now yes I am the victim of this as
well I do a lot of things past midnight
simply because I would be doing
something that I wish I could be doing
in my free time when I could have just
simply finished my work early and done
the things that I wanted to do for the
day but instead I'm doing it on midnight
with my t-shirts and lotion I mean I'm
doing it midnight because well I just
have bad time management imagine your
body like I don't know a drug attic you
know you can never get enough of say
okay I I'm really bad at analogies just
make sure to prioritize your body's
recharge time or else your body will not
be able to perform correctly or else
your body won't have enough energy for
the work you need to do for the day
you're not even going to have stamina
enough in bed okay
stuff so make sure to set aside seven or
more hours to ensure you get enough
sleep and energy for the day remember
it's all about optimizing our days for
the most productivity for less time and
making more time for the things we enjoy
and of course what kind of tip would
this be without me giving it some actual
advice to not only achieving more sleep
but getting good quality of sleep well
two things a night routine and one of
these this is a sleeping mask and this
helps wonders with helping me sleep
because not only will it block out any
light source interrupting your circadian
rhythm but it will also remove the
temptation to use your phone before
sleeping which I feel like is is mostly
the reason why most of us can't sleep
like come on I know you're scrolling on
Tick Tock okay just stop doing that okay
watch my tick tocks instead I don't even
have a tick tock account God damn it I
need to start usually these things will
come with a sort of cooling pack thingy
where you could put it into a fridge for
a cool temperature for it to cool your
eyes so that when you're tired of like
staring at the screen too long you can
just pop this onto your eyes and wow the
cool air yeah and there's more as for
the night routine it's pretty
self-explanatory before you sleep having
a night routine is helpful to prepare
your body to rest and to set an
environment that would help you be
comfortable in sleeping like closing the
curtains to keep out the creeps from
watching you sleep try to cut out as
much noise as you can in your control
and if you can't you can always buy some
earplugs which would help you block out
the noise if you have some noisy family
members or if your neighbors are getting
frisky upstairs if you know what I mean
okay yeah that promise that's the last
tip number two create a study system now
I think we go on an everyday lives at
school for getting that school is a
place to learn now granted with all the
school's requirements and all the
homework and all that kind of [ __ ] it's
quite easy for us to lose track of what
we're actually doing but at the end of
the day we go to school or university to
learn and apply the things we're being
taught to even though most of the
subjects we don't even use in real life
that's why having your own side system
is essential so that you don't get lost
when trying to process and learn these
things from school because a lot of
times when studying or learning it's
easy to get lost in the number of apps
note-taking techniques or whatever is
available for study it's kind of like
restaurants you know it's like you know
too many choices that's why I suggest
making your own study system so that you
can have your own tailored approach that
works for you to learn information more
efficiently now I suggest listing all
the apps you use or all the study
techniques you use and then drawing a
mind map so that you have a sort of a
visual process on how you can take
information but hey if you don't need to
write down then good for you it's all in
your head lucky photographic memory bit
I'm just kidding I love you so whether
it is for having to-do list before
note-taking or starting to write
flashcards to review flash cards I
recommend you have a system of studying
so that you can have a clear path
whenever you're in taking information so
for my personal system I have three
steps to learning information learning
and understanding database and then the
application memorization part so
learning during lectures I reckon when
you take your time to understand and
focus what the teacher is teaching
instead of focusing on taking notes this
is how to be more efficient with your
time now keyword focusing I'm not doing
one or the other I'm doing both but I'm
putting more energy into understanding
and focusing my energy on teacher rather
than taking everything down I only take
notes or write flashcards when it's
important and when they mention
something that I need to memorize in a
future Endeavor then when I come home
originally when I have extra time I
would then organize these understandings
of what I have onto my notion or onto my
good notes to make sure I understood the
pieces of information that I understood
from the teacher this is sort of where I
build my database or my understanding
and I usually start them all on notion
then I would make my flashcards and
revise them on an app called Anki this
is sort of where I start memorizing and
applying these information bits whenever
I'm sort of trying to revise my studies
this is the application part and since
I'm heading to second year of Dentistry
which will be a lot more hectic than
first year obviously especially in the
upcoming years I have to make this
efficient so that I have time for other
things
tip number three is to be proactive
don't procrastinate on important
deadlines now especially for those
University students out there or
freshmen's out there please be proactive
for the love of God
take note of your school deadlines
requirements documents and everything
make sure you have that all covered I
can't stress enough how big the
consequences is if you miss a class or
whatever if you're not proactive you
might end up extending your school years
just because you ignored a certain
deadline or you just forgot classes and
units are pretty limited so you have to
be early and proactive when it comes to
these types of school things ensure that
you learn all the quirks and all the
things about your University it's
different for every University make sure
you know how to get documents from your
school the process how to pay for school
supplies schedule it appropriately
including enrollment dates classes
school events and Etc trust me I'm not
telling you to become teacher's pet but
I am telling you to be very very active
and very wary when it comes to these
kinds of things trust me it will make
your life so much easier if you're
proactive in this kind of thing trust me
I know tip number four organize your day
now to fit everything into your day and
to ensure that you're accomplishing
everything while having a good time with
your life make sure to schedule
everything on a calendar now if you want
to include everything into your life
your school your partner your friends
your family your drug addiction your
gambling it I recommend scheduling your
day now scheduling might seem like
you're limiting yourself when you're
making these time blocks from your day
but trust me it's allowing you to do
more things in your life if you schedule
it right make sure to schedule your
classes your timeouts and all that kind
of stuff on your calendar so that you
know how much time you have for a
certain thing and if you can dedicate
time for more things or if you have to
give up some things for other things
that's a lot of things in a sentence now
when it comes to scheduling there should
be a perfect balance do not over
schedule and do not under schedule
because guess what life gets in the way
yeah [ __ ] you life sometimes we might
need more more time for a certain thing
sometimes some things will end early and
you'll have more time for other things
humans are not perfect and we're very
inefficient and especially in this
chaotic World lots of things can happen
you might realize that you're really
tired you might realize that oh [ __ ] I
have to do this other thing oh my God I
don't have time for this that's why you
should have leeway in your schedule
don't plan too much and fill your
schedule with everything because I doubt
that you can follow it through unless
you're Jeff Bezos or something but do
not understand it such that you don't
have anything on your calendar such that
you don't actually have a plan and
direction to accomplishing your tasks
now I'll probably make a more advanced
way of scheduling your day because there
are a lot more things that you have to
take into account when it comes to
scheduling now personally I use Google
Calendar that's mainly the application I
use I find it really easy to use and
it's I honestly think it's the best
scheduling app out there now the next
tip introverts beware but be social and
join clubs that's tip number five now
when your University you might end up
meeting some people that might be very
important in your life or will be one of
the closest friends that you will have
in your life or maybe perhaps even in
your career now not only will it be
beneficial for you to meet other people
and to create connections but joining
clubs and people with similar interests
will be fun for you and perhaps it'll be
an excellent way for you to pursue your
own Hobbies while studying in University
now it will depend on your priorities on
your life whether you have time to set
aside for clubs now I do personally
recommend getting into a club if you
want to make haikyuu a reality then yes
do join clubs like sports clubs or I
don't I actually don't know I'm not
really into clubs personally I don't
really have time to join clubs because I
do want to allocate my time on other
things like this YouTube channel or just
plain other things like my dragon now
speaking of clubs and being social it
can kind of relate to my next tip which
is tip number six Branch out with some
side hustles now going back to my boring
where I mentioned that we have a lot of
time on our hands during University or
school because we'll probably get a lot
more busy when we're in our full-time
jobs or with families with children now
is a great time to experiment with your
side hustles because you don't really
have the risk of losing any income or
your chance of living and this is a good
chance for you to start earning cash
from the side without worrying about
bills and all that so if you're free to
spend on stuff like clothes food or
outings or even save for your future
which is definitely the path I recommend
as for my case for my side hustle it
will be this YouTube channel and as you
guys know I started this channel a long
time ago when I was in high school I
think around two years ago and now I'm
practically making this YouTube channel
for a sort of documentation of my life
but also for making content for you guys
so maybe you could even start your own
YouTube channel you can start
experimenting with your own side
business for example you could sell
products that you made or perhaps you
could do some Drop Shipping I don't know
if it's still popular that's practically
the most generic way of earning money
honestly but yeah maybe some freelancing
or some gigs on the side while you're a
student and while you have time and
finally the last tip I have for you is
to surround yourself with good people
now if there's any code that couldn't be
more true than it is it is that the
people surrounding you will influence
the behavior of your life or your career
we interact with or who is in your
friend Circle will influence how you are
as a person and perhaps even control or
dictate your career okay maybe control
is too much of a word no I'm not saying
you have to be strategic with the
friends you make nor be picky about it
but when choosing the people you
surround yourself with should rather be
with people who would boost you up
instead of bringing you down now I'm not
talking about friends who are rich or
friends with connections but rather
people with positive energy who wouldn't
bring you down when you're succeeding or
who wouldn't bring you down period And
this is great because for example if you
want to have a study group and you will
study for an exam together if you have
friends with high Ambitions at the
energy will spread onto you as well
making you ambitious for your own goals
okay again I'm not saying that you
should be picky with your friends but
I'm just saying when it comes to your
inner circle it it's important to have
friends that would just lift you up now
trust me going through University you
cannot do it by yourself trust me I do
not recommend just doing everything
yourself now even though you're leaning
towards the more introverted side it's
important to have people who you can
rely on when it comes to these kinds of
things it is a lot easier to push
through life with other people who would
push your spirits up or to have people
to lean towards when things are bad or
to have energy to succeed in life but
yeah I hope you guys enjoying those tips

would say when it comes to school I hope
