That's why I'm declaring this month of October,
Socktober!
Every single night in the United States nearly
600,000 people are homeless.
Some of them are even kids.
We want to activate 1 million people to help
the homeless in their neighborhoods.
And here's how.
Step One: Start with a new sock drive! Do
something to help the homeless in your neighborhood.
We're encouraging people to start with socks!
But don't stop there, gather up other basic
needs your local shelter might need as they
prepare for winter.
Get everybody involved!
Your schools!
Socktober!
Your businesses!
Socktober!
Your families!
Socktober!
Step Two: Share how you're helping the homeless!

Step Three: We wanna build a special place
for homeless women in Little Rock, Arkansas.
It's really cool because the land already
been donated, they just need a $160,000 dollars
to build it!
