so this time of year sucks what I get
from you guys at the women is messages
saying how stressed you are how
terrified you are for exams how much it
means to you and how much work you're
putting in and how you might feel guilty
if you're taking time to not do revision
24/7 yeah this is just a very very quick
little video from me the video that I
would have wanted to have seen before I
went into exams also you might clock to
like had a haircut and I've straightened
my hair so I'm still reading your best
is literally all you can do
something that I struggled with the
concept of earlier just do your best
is the idea of knowing that oh I can do
better you know what I mean like this is
not my best this is not my best work
this was not my best exam but what you
have to remember is that the concept of
do your best means do your best in that
present moment with how you're feeling
on that day with the questions you've
been set with the knowledge that you
have in that moment that is doing your
best as long as you're putting the
effort in in that moment you are wanting
to succeed that's all you can do even if
you come out of the exam and you cry
like I did during my eight levels at
least you can have this sense of pride
that you just tried you know like you
did your best and that is all anyone can
ask of you in that moment I believe that
if you do your best
that means kind of revising before an
exam really wholeheartedly putting your
work ethic into wanting to succeed
you're really trying during that exam
you're checking for if you have time I
believe the rest will follow
so whatever grade you end up with you
meant to get it and it's hard to think
like that but I really do believe that
say you get a slightly different grades
for what you want and that prevents you
from going to a certain university a
certain SEC film and you end up
somewhere else sometimes you've got to
embrace that that might be the best
option for you you will end up on your
path
I want to say well done before you even
start the exams do the exams just like a
bloody big well done to you because
you've worked hard like even if you feel
like you've not done enough and you've
not worked hard enough at times in the
two years that you've been preparing for
these exams you still worked hard and
the family are watching this means
you're probably a committed person so
well done I think it's so much easier to
beat ourselves up than to give ourselves
credit so allow me to send you some
virtual credit for any and all work that
you've done any revision resources
you've made any time that you have you
felt really stressed and you brought
yourself back to having some kind of
positive mindset some kind of hope again
well done like I commend you because
exams aren't just a test of the content
and the knowledge but I genuinely think
exam season is a test of character and
like mental health discipline coping
with knowing that you know this this
this sheet of paper and this time is
gonna have some kind of impact in your
life like that is a scary thing and to
do with it as such young age is
commendable he's still got social life
you still got mental health things you
still got family issues at cetera so the
fact that you are doing this well done
every night the day before an exam
something that really helped me is
something that I would urge you to do as
silly as it might sound is turn off the
lights or just sit down quietly lie down
close your eyes and I just want you to
visualize yourself going into the exam
room the next day trying to visualize it
with the stress of everything that could
go wrong but just put yourself into this
really calms own of visualizing it as
best as positively as it can go
imagine yourself turning the first page
calmly imagine yourself looking at the
questions and thinking to yourself I
have an abundance of time I am not
pushed for time I'm just gonna
my time read this question absorb it and
do whatever I can with the knowledge
that I have just think of it really
pragmatically imagine yourself hissing a
question you don't understand
imagine yourself reading through it
calmly again underlining words if you
still don't understand it move on and
come back and subconsciously believe
that you will be able to get it in the
end most of all visualize yourself
coming out of the exam feeling proud
like knowing that you have done your
best that you have tried hard just
really visualize the feeling of like
happiness after having done that paper
sounds Carla cringy and sounds kind of
silly but there's like this whole
concept of the law of attraction and the
idea that the thoughts that you are
having with regards to something will
manifest the the event itself so the
more positively you can view exams the
more positive experience I believe you
will have doing them so yeah I hope that
makes sense just right visualize
positively and hike yourself up you've
worked hard
you have and I'm proud I feel like a
study tube mom anytime you feel stressed
or you don't feel proud of yourself or
you feel guilty just think of your study
tube mum because I'm here I'm supporting
you I'm posting little updating things
on my Instagram all the time to just try
and like make me feel calm or make you
feel supported just like you can do this
you literally can do this and you've got
to get yourself in a smile set of like
yes I'm not going to let these exams
destroy my mental health I'm not gonna
let these exams have so much power over
how I feel buting time yourself keep
revising keep smash and keep working
hard you've got this you've literally
got this by
