Hello Easy English learners!
So we're here again on the streets of Old Town Alexandria.
And today we're going to be asking people what their plans for the
rest of the day are and if they have any plans for their future.
So... follow us along.
Uh... so it's a simple question.
And that is...
What are your plans for today?
My plans for today...
- I don't think we've decided yet. - are to walk up the street.
Yes we have! We're gonna go have lunch and then after that
we are going to do some shopping.
We're going down to the water to have a few drinks
and have some girl time and sun.
- 'Girl Time.' That means we're not invited.
No! You're not invited. - Okay.
I'm going to take the Metro back home and then I'm gonna watch Netflix.
- And chill?
Yes.
My plans for the rest of the day? I'm going back to work.
I work at a shop. It's actually really and interesting shop.
It's a sex shop. - Okay.
Yeah... it is... um. So... it's called Lotus Blooms and we sell corsets
and we sell sex toys and we're education based.
So... I'm a sex educator... not just working at a shop and...
yeah... it's really cool.
We... are going to continue on our walk
and then we'll go home and um... make dinner. - Yeah.
And... - What do you plan to make?
Pizza! - I think we're doing Pizza tonight.
- Homemade pizza? - Yeah!
Well... we're from the Philadelphia area.
So... we're gonna be leaving here soon...
after we do a little more shopping... Go back to my daughter's house
and then pack up and... head back up to Philly.
My plans for the rest of the day... Enjoy it with these guys...
Maybe go have a few drinks... get some good food
and then go do some homework... for school... yeah.
Um... I'm gonna ride my bike home and then walk my dog
and then take a nap. - Okay. - That's not true at all!
You don't have a dog? - You don't even have a dog? - No.
And I don't have a bike. - And you never sleep.
I'm definitely going to take a nap.
- Okay. At least it's partially true.
Today I will be fabulous... like I always am. And uh...
I will live my life to the fullest and continue to enjoy
'A Traveler's View' which is my business.
Same thing... and sleep! I'm gonna sleep. - And sleep? - Uh huh...
as soon as I can!
Um... I'm going to take pictures and...
I don't have any other plans for today.
I'm going to do what she's doing and what everybody else is doing
and then I'm gonna go home and... probably sit on the couch.

What are your plans for the future generally... maybe a year...
five years from now? - Uh... I hope to retire in about five years.
And be able to spend more time with my family...
with my boys... right?

I see myself... hopefully as an investment banker or a realtor...
uh... primarily in the residential industry. And... um...
Hopefully have a beautiful wife by my side... if not...
you know... still have the girlfriend I have and... go from there.

Um... I'm gonna spend the winter traveling out west.
Going wherever there's deep snow. - Are you a skier? Snowboarder?
Snowboarder. - Nice... I ski. - Oh... that's too bad.
Um... actually I'm moving to North Dakota! - Wow!
Yeah... I know that sounds crazy. - No... that's exciting!
I'm moving to North Dakota and um...
I'm a singer... is what I actually am. - What style?
Um... Blues and Soul um... so I did American Idol!
- Did you? - I did! I was on season 13. Um... you can find me...
I had blue hair. Um... yeah it was a lot of fun. Um... but yeah...
I'm going to the West Coast with my fiancé who is a woman...
so I'm a lesbian. It's great! - Okay. - I'm so excited!
My nearest future plan... actually uh... when I go home to Colorado
is to uh... sell the house and move into the mountains.
Um... I'll probably go back to grad school
and get my Master's degree... um... in speech therapy.
- Is any of this truthful at all? - Yeah this is actually true.
I'm getting married in March. - Oh congratulations! - Thank you. Yeah.
Just enjoying every moment of life... yeah. And be happy...
