Hello, I'm AKASAKI, an 18-year-old singer-songwriter.

I've officially graduated from high school!

And starting this April, I'll be heading to university,

and my parents have given me their blessing to continue my music career!

(I am truly so happy...)

A year ago, I hadn't even released "Hiki-komori" yet;

I was just an ordinary high school senior.

"If I start using TikTok, maybe something will change."

With that thought, I started writing original songs in secret

and began posting them on TikTok.

Of course, my parents found out almost immediately lol.

When I told them I was serious about pursuing music,

they told me, "The music industry is tough; it won't be easy."

So, for the first time, I sang one of my original songs

for my parents to hear.

That song was "Konya wa Kimi to."

My parents were surprised that I could write my own music,

but they were also moved to tears.

At that time, we made a promise: "If you can achieve results while in high school, we'll consider you continuing music."

That was our deal.

From then on, I poured my heart and soul into writing original songs.

Regarding the public's reaction and my state of mind

when I released "Hiki-komori" and "Naminomakase,"

I think you can understand if you watch my video

about "my plans after graduating high school."

Furthermore, around July, my TikTok growth stalled,

and just as the words say, I was on the verge of losing heart.

Just between us, my teachers and parents

were already discussing my path toward finding a job.

But this is my one and only life; I didn't want to give up on my dream

and just work a job without truly doing the music I love.

So, treating it as my last chance,

I wrote about ten original songs.

Two of those songs were "Natsumi" and "Bunny Girl."

After I posted those two on TikTok, my whole world changed.

In October, I was selected as a "BuzzTracker"

Monthly Artist on TikTok and Spotify.

Then "Bunny Girl" hit #1

on both Spotify Daily and Weekly charts,

becoming the only and most successful song

during a BuzzTracker promotion period to date.

After that, in January, I was selected for things I'd always aimed for:

"RADAR: Early Noise 2025,"

Buzz Rhythm's "Top 10 Artists Set to Break Out in 2025,"

and EIGHT-JAM's "My Best 10 of 2024."

And by the end of this month, I'm even set to perform at "JAPAN JAM 2025."

The reality before my eyes is something my self from a year ago wouldn't have believed.

I think it's because I steeled myself, knowing this was my last chance.

Even so, I'm not satisfied at all,

and of course, I feel the pressure of potentially ending up here.

My goal is to become a representative artist for Japan

and perform on the global stage.

With even more determination than a year ago,

I want to meet the expectations of everyone supporting me.

From here on, I'll work toward Kohaku Uta Gassen, the Japan Record Awards,

and first of all, a live show at Budokan.

I can truly feel that so many people are paying attention to me,

so I will use this pressure as fuel to keep going.

If you ever think I'm slacking off, please don't hesitate to tell me lol.

First up, I'll be releasing "Haikai" next week on 4/16!

And from here on out, I'll be releasing new music every month!

Also, next month, I have some incredibly happy

surprise news! (It's a secret!)

2025 is going to be another whirlwind year for AKASAKI,

こんにちわ、18歳シンガーソングライターのAKASAKIです。

改めて、無事高校を卒業しました！

そして、この4月からは大学に進学して、

音楽活動を続けることを、両親に認めてもらえました！

1年前は、まだ「弾きこもり」もリリースしていない

普通の高校生3年生でした。

「TikTokを始めたら、何かが変わるかもしれない」

そう思って、親に内緒でオリジナル曲を作って

TikTokへの投稿を始めました。

したら、すぐに親にバレました笑

自分が、本気で音楽をやりたいことを伝えると、

「音楽の世界は甘くない、上手くいくわけがない」

そう言われたので、初めて自分のオリジナル曲を

両親に歌って聴かせました。

その時の1曲が「今夜は君と」です。

両親は、僕がオリ曲を作れることに驚きつつ、

泣いて感動してくれました。

その時に、「高校生の間に結果を残せたら、音楽を続けるか考えよう」

そう約束しました。

そこから、死ぬ気でオリ曲を作りました。

弾きこもりと、波まかせをリリースした時の

世間の反応と僕の心境は、

「高校卒業後の進路について」の

動画を観ていただけるとわかると思います。

さらに、7月ごろにはTikTokがあまり伸びず、

言葉通り、心が折れかけていました。

ここだけの話、学校の先生や両親は、

就職する方向で話を進めてました。

でも一度きりの人生、本当に好きな音楽をやれずに、

仕事をしながら、夢を諦めるのは嫌だ。

そう思って、ラストチャンスのつもりで、

10曲くらいオリジナル曲を作りました。

その中の2曲が、「夏実」と、「Bunny Girl」です。

この2曲をTikTokに投稿して、世界が一変しました。

10月には、TikTok｜Spotifyの「BuzzTracker」

Monthly Artistsに選出されて、

Bunny Girlが、Spotifyのデイリーと

ウィークリーで「1位」を獲得して、

過去のBuzzTracker展開期間中の楽曲で

現時点で唯一、そして一番の成績を収めました。

その後、1月にはずっと目標にしていた

「RADAR: Early Noise 2025」、

バズリズム「2025年にブレイク必至のアーティスト TOP 10」、

EIGHT-JAM「2024年マイベスト10」にも選出されて、

今月末には「JAPAN JAM 2025」への出演も決まっています。

1年前の自分が聞いたら、信じないであろう現実が、目の前にあります。

これは最後のチャンスだと、覚悟を決めたからだと思います。

それでも、まだまだ全然満足していないし、

ここで終わってしまう危機感も、当然あります。

僕の目標は、日本を代表するアーティストになって

世界の舞台で活躍することです。

1年前よりもさらに、強い覚悟を持って

応援して下さっている、皆さんの期待にも応えられるように、

ここからは紅白歌合戦、レコ大出場、

そしてまずは、武道館ライブを目指して頑張ります。

本当に、色々な人に注目してもらっていることが

伝わってきているので、

このプレッシャーを自分の糧にして、頑張りますので、
