I am in the train station. Today we're 00:00
traveling to Busousan and we will learn 00:02
lots of English along the journey. I am 00:04
standing on the platform which is the 00:07
place that you wait for your trains. And 00:09
to my right there are the tracks. These 00:12
are the lines that the train runs on. 00:15
Each section of the train is called the 00:18
carriage or the car. Now time to get on 00:20
the train. 00:24
We've just arrived at the hotel and 00:42
what a view. In the distance, I can see 00:46
huge ships on the horizon. 00:49
There is a statue of a whale in the 00:55
water. And there are lots of white 00:57
birds. These white birds are called 00:59
seagulls. 01:02
Ooh, there's also a lighthouse. 01:04
There are people walking along the 01:10
beach. 01:11
Cool. Let's go down to take a closer 01:14
look at everything and explore this 01:16
area. 01:20
So, we are in Gamion Culture Village, 01:36
which is a giant village full of 01:40
colorful houses, cute little alleyways, 01:42
and right now we are on the viewpoint 01:45
looking over the view. We're going to go 01:48
in, check it out. The sun is setting, so 01:50
everything is beautiful. Let's go see 01:53
inside. There's lots of art and colorful 01:56
things. 02:00
I'm walking down the steps and through 02:03
the wooden gates. 02:05
Can't close that. 02:08
We're walking down a small alley. 02:11
And this is actually a corrugated roof. 02:14
It's made of metal 02:19
and corrugated means it has wavy lines 02:21
or ridges so the rain can run off and 02:24
drain out. 02:27
These stairs are pastel pink and this 02:29
wall is pastel green. Pastel is a 02:32
lighter version of a color. It has more 02:36
white in it. It's more pale just like my 02:39
skin. 02:42
You'll notice, guys, I have fewer layers 02:47
on. I'm not as uh wrapped up because 02:49
it's warmer here in Busousan, which is 02:53
nice. 02:54
This is a mural, which is wall art, and 02:59
it's a mural of the little prince, which 03:03
is a book that I read in my French class 03:06
actually. And this phrase 03:07
means you will be uniquely mine in the 03:12
worlds and I will be uniquely yours. 03:14
It's a beautiful book and if you haven't 03:17
read it, I would recommend it. 03:19
Okay, this 03:36
>> is a truck. On the back of the truck, 03:37
there are vegetables, 03:40
sweet potatoes, 03:42
and 03:44
there is a voice coming out of a 03:47
speaker, a loud speaker. It's obviously 03:49
selling fruit and vegetables. DIY. DIY 03:52
stands for do it yourself and it refers 03:57
to jobs that you do at home 04:00
like hanging up a painting. Do it 04:03
yourself. 04:06
We have lots of little toys and figures 04:10
outside this shop. And it's a to 04:15
where is to 04:20
grandmother's memory. Oh, 04:25
so this is kind of like fun and unusual. 04:32
This place, a great a great word we can 04:35
use to describe something fun and 04:39
unusual is quirky. I am a little bit 04:41
quirky as well. 04:44
I'll try not to fall over again. 04:46
And it's very hilly this area. Hilly 04:51
means it has lots of hills and we can 04:57
use it as an adjective. 05:00
This area is very hilly. 05:04
Go through here. 05:09
Wow. 05:12
This really is quirky. It's very 05:16
unusual. 05:17
There aren't many places in the world 05:20
that you see 05:21
colorful houses like this. And lots of 05:23
hills, winding alleys, 05:26
beautiful sunlight. I mean, look at 05:30
that. 05:32
Good word to describe a view. Stunning. 05:34
Can describe a view, person, or food. 05:38
That is stunning. 05:43
Oh, hello. 05:45
Wow. 05:54
Up there there is a woman painting the 05:58
wall yellow. She's painting the wall 06:01
yellow with a giant paint roller. 06:04
Now it's time. It's time. 06:07
for a photo shoot. 06:12
>> It's chilly. 06:17
>> In this picture, a blonde man wearing a 06:18
white puffer jacket is looking into the 06:20
distance at the colorful houses. 06:23
In this picture, Chang is walking 06:26
uphill, holding a handbag, and looking 06:29
towards the sun. Behind me is Gamchon 06:32
Culture Village. A village built on a 06:36
hill with loads of colorful houses 06:40
clustered together. Clustered means they 06:44
are all very close together. You can see 06:46
the rooftops of the houses. And right 06:50
now the sun is setting. It's dipping 06:53
behind the hill and everything looks 06:57
pretty. 07:00
>> Where's your gloves? My gloves. They're 07:01
in my pocket. Yeah, my gloves. I'm 07:03
putting on my gloves now because I'm 07:06
chilly. Chilly means slightly cold. I'm 07:08
not freezing. That means very cold. I'm 07:11
just a bit chilly. Bit nippy, actually. 07:14
We say nippy in the UK. That's better. 07:17
Feeling good. Um, I want a drink. Some 07:20
hot drink. I don't know. Let's go find 07:23
one. A pink house. Just what I've always 07:25
wanted. 07:29
Well, when I said, "Let's grab a drink," 07:35
I didn't expect this. This is about the 07:37
most feminine drink I've ever had in my 07:39
life, 07:41
Barbie. 07:43
I ordered a pink smoothie. I don't know 07:45
what I expected, to be honest. Um, it's 07:47
even got sprinkles on. Good word for you 07:50
guys. These are sprinkles. 07:52
Colorful sweet things on top of the 07:57
drink. sprinkles. This is extremely 07:59
feminine. I'm not sure I can drink it. 08:02
I can and I will. Thankfully, I asked 08:05
for it with no sugar, but it looks like 08:07
it's got a lot of sugar in still. 08:09
It's all right. Tastes like strawberry 08:16
and yogurt. 08:18
I've just been beaten to my knees. I've 08:20
just got brain freeze. Brain freeze is 08:22
when you eat too much ice cream or drink 08:25
something really cold and your head 08:27
really hurts. We call that a brain 08:30
freeze 08:32
and it's literally taking me down to the 08:34
floor. 08:35
The cat a friendly cat. She's meowing. 08:38
And this is a caricature shop. A 08:46
caricature is a cartoon drawing of a 08:48
person or an animal where the facial 08:53
features are exaggerated. So they might 08:56
do you with a massive nose or big ears. 08:59
This is a very famous restaurant 09:08
apparently and people have left their 09:10
reviews on Bunting. This is bunting. 09:13
And they've left them with these 09:17
colorful pens. 09:20
And these pens are in a pot. There are 09:23
pots and books on the shelf. And 09:26
generally pens, pencils, rulers, 09:29
rubbers. We call that stationery. 09:32
Stationary. 09:35
>> Okay. 09:40
>> Here. 09:41
>> Yeah. There, please. Thank you. 09:41
And then we got mine 09:45
>> be soup. 09:49
>> Thank you so much. 09:50
>> This is a sword. A little sort of 09:50
delicious. 09:53
>> Okay. Thank you so much. 09:54
>> Oh, lovely. So, here we have the beef 09:57
soup, 10:00
the dumplings, 10:02
and you can see the steam rising off the 10:07
food. It's steaming hot, we can say. 10:10
This soup is steaming hot. 10:14
>> I'm just going to burn my mouth. 10:19
>> Oh yeah. 10:24
Okay. All right, here we go. Transparent 10:42
floor. Transparent floor. You can see 10:46
you can see through the glass floor and 10:50
we call that transparent. 10:52
And they gave us some lollipops. I don't 10:55
know why, but um maybe so you can have a 10:58
suck while you watch the view. 11:00
This is cool. Flying through the sky. 11:04
First night in Busousan. I'm about to 11:07
suck on a lollipop. And our hotel is 11:09
just over there in the bay. 11:12
It's very pretty. You can see a skywalk 11:15
down there, which we're going to go on 11:18
tomorrow. Um, first impressions of 11:21
Busousan, very enjoyable, great food, 11:23
cool place, nice beach town. Hopefully 11:28
we don't fall in the ocean. You can see 11:31
the cityscape. Cool word. the buildings, 11:34
the streets, the lights. The cityscape 11:39
is basically the urban version of a 11:42
landscape. 11:45
Heat. Heat. 12:04
Good morning, world. It's day two in 12:37
Busousan. The sun is shining. It's a 12:40
gorgeous day. And we have found a very 12:42
cute coffee shop. So, we're going to get 12:45
some brunch now. Breakfast, lunch, 12:47
brunch. 12:50
Hello. 13:05
So pretty in here. Just chilling next to 13:17
the plants. And this place is beautiful. 13:21
Chang just ordered 13:25
eggs in hell, which is like eggs and 13:28
tomato sauce with sourdough bread. I 13:30
ordered a hummus bowl. 13:33
Hummus is mashed chickpeas. 13:36
And then we got two coffees. And then 13:40
after we I'm going to show you guys 13:42
around. They have a very cute dog as 13:44
well, which is nice. 13:47
>> Thank you. 13:49
there. 13:52
>> So, breakfast has arrived and not only 13:53
does it look delicious, but there's also 13:56
some delicious English right now. This 13:58
is a coffee in a glass and it sits on a 14:01
saucer. This is a saucer. 14:05
I have cutlery to eat my food. A knife, 14:10
a fork, and a spoon. Cutlery. 14:14
I've ordered a hummus bowl. There is 14:18
half an avocado, 14:21
homemade sourdough bread, hummus with 14:23
pistachio nuts and olive oil on. And 14:27
then a lovely green salad with kale, 14:31
lettuce, grapes, dill, radish, and 14:34
walnuts. 14:38
We have some sourdough bread in a metal 14:39
dish to dip into Chang's dish, which is 14:43
a tomato sauce with broccoli and cheese 14:48
on top. There are also some eggs inside. 14:53
And this is very hot. I can't touch 14:56
this. This is called a cast iron dish. A 14:59
cast iron dish. Iron is metal and it's 15:03
the material that it's made from. And 15:05
finally, a bottle of Tabasco. 15:07
Cheers, guys. 15:10
A person who makes coffees is called a 15:13
barista. A person who serves you food is 15:16
called a waiter if it's a male. And a 15:20
waitress if it's a female. 15:23
Be kind. Eat good food. Smile a lot. Pet 15:40
the dog. Be you. Say thank you. 15:44
The Bbles are hanging by the window. 15:50
Watching the view. 15:54
The wine bottles are wearing woolly 15:58
hats. 16:01
The washing is hanging on the washing 16:04
line. 16:07
It's a sunny day and in the distance the 16:10
bridge stretches from one side of the 16:14
river to the other. 16:16
There is more washing hanging from the 16:21
washing line. And there is a kettle bell 16:23
on the floor. So maybe the person who 16:26
hung these clothes liked to work out 16:29
while they waited. I love this place. 16:32
They pay close attention to detail, 16:35
which means every little detail is well 16:38
thought of, well thought about. They 16:41
have the bookshelves, the quotes on the 16:43
wall, good music, the wooden ceiling 16:45
fans, the large lamp shades, 16:49
great furniture, great decoration, 16:53
and it's a really warm, cozy, light, 16:57
bright feeling in here. It's lovely. 17:01
>> If you ever come to Busousan, I would 17:05
highly recommend this place. Koshi. 17:07
We just got out the taxi and about to 17:33
head to the museum. But look at this 17:35
place. It's very cool. What do I see? 17:38
I see very big ships. 17:42
That red thing is a crane and it's used 17:46
for lifting very heavy things. 17:50
There are giant rubber tires on the edge 17:54
of the ship and big thick ropes. 17:57
So, you would call this place a port. A 18:03
port is a place where ships come and go. 18:06
It's different to a dock. A dock is like 18:11
a car park for ships. A dock is a place 18:13
where ships rest. But this is an 18:15
industrial port. And that is a giant 18:18
yacht suspended in the air. 18:21
Let's go. 18:25
So, we are going to the art museum. 18:27
Eternal nature. Eternal means living 18:32
forever. 18:35
Chang is inserting the card into the 18:39
slot, clicking next, and paying 38,1. 18:41
The ticket is printing. 18:48
Now the ticket 18:51
has printed. 18:54
Jack's taking the card and let's go. 18:57
The 19:10
infinite 19:12
circle 19:14
behind 19:20
And the floor was made of mirrors, so it 19:32
made you feel like you were in a giant 19:36
waterfall. 19:38
This room was Chang's favorite because 19:42
she loves the smell of roses. Uh, it's 19:44
super sweet. The sound was amazing and 19:47
the light was unreal. 19:50
These are sunflowers and they are slowly 19:53
fading 19:56
into a rose. 19:58
These liies are also fading into roses. 20:01
There are pink petals on the black 20:08
floor. 20:10
These flowers are transforming from dead 20:15
to alive, colorful, and bright. 20:18
There was a piano, so I had to go and 20:25
tinkle around, improvise, play some 20:28
keys. 20:31
The next room was a tornado room. A 20:53
tornado is a strong whirlwind. 20:55
Heavy rain. 21:31
This room was trippy. 21:45
This room had to be my favorite of the 22:31
entire museum. him. They were playing 22:33
CLA DeLoon while showing us Vang Go's 22:36
artwork. 22:39
This was probably the best museum I've 22:42
ever been to in my life. 22:44
It was full of light shows and digital 22:48
art. 22:50
It was pretty special. 22:56
There is a UFO flying across the screen 23:16
and a manta ray floating above 23:20
Busousan's cultural village. 23:22
Everyone is 23:34
>> Hello. 23:38
>> Hello. 23:39
>> We just had the most amazing experience 23:40
in the art museum and just been in the 23:42
gift shop. There you go. And now in a 23:44
photo booth. Standard procedure. Photos 23:46
in 3 2 1. 23:50
Okay, we got another one. 23:56
Let's see the result. 3 2 1 24:02
>> Cute. 24:08
>> We just had the most wonderful time at 24:16
the museum. It was really immersive, 24:17
meaning the light and the sounds and the 24:21
smells really immersed you. It gave you 24:23
a powerful feeling. And now we're in 24:26
another cultural village. 24:30
It feels like Greece or something here. 24:33
Apparently, there's loads of artwork in 24:36
this area and it's right by the coast. 24:38
So, the plan is to look at the art, find 24:40
a cafe, drink some nice coffee, and then 24:44
I've got a YouTube live stream. So, this 24:47
will be me in the future. I will have 24:49
done that YouTube live stream in in a 24:51
few weeks time. Um, that's the plan for 24:53
now. Tonight, get dinner and continue to 24:56
explore the lovely Busousan. Let's go. 24:59
And look at this, guys. It's printing on 25:05
blocks of wood, 25:09
printing images, printing pictures on a 25:11
block of wood. 25:14
And that mechanism is going back and 25:16
forth, left and right. 25:18
Philadelphia cheese ice cream. 25:33
Ordering an ice cream. Of course, it's 25:36
just about warm enough. 25:39
Be right back. 25:42
It's 25:49
>> vanilla ice cream with melted chocolate 25:49
on top. And the chocolate solidifies, 25:52
meaning it hardens. 25:56
It goes from melted to solid. 25:58
Ice cream. 26:02
>> Ice cream in a tub. We call this a tub. 26:04
Small tub. Different than a cone. Yeah. 26:08
A cone is a triangle one that is made of 26:13
wafer and you eat it. This is a tub. Ice 26:15
cream in a tub or ice cream in a cone. 26:19
>> This one's a tub. 26:22
We just stopped to get some stickers for 26:28
the fridge, some 26:32
fridge magnets for decorating our fridge 26:35
back home. And 26:37
the best thing ever. Had to come back 26:43
for this. 26:45
It's Mario in a tux tuxedo and Peach. 26:47
So that's going to take pride of place 26:52
on a shelf in our house. Cool. And this 26:54
is a gift shop. 26:59
This is a sign for a cafe. On the sign, 27:03
it has Korean writing and an image of a 27:07
champagne glass or a champagne flute. 27:14
This is another cocktail glass. 27:17
You okay there? Do you want to hand me 27:22
something? All right, guys. We're going 27:25
up some very, very steep stairs. Steep 27:27
means it's whoop. You all right there, 27:30
Ch? You want me to grab the camera? 27:33
I feel like I'm pulling you up a 27:38
mountain. 27:39
There we go. Steep stairs to the 27:41
probably too bright view for you, but 27:45
that looks incredible. 27:47
I'm just about to hop onto the YouTube 27:49
live stream. So, I'll see you there. Or 27:51
maybe in the future I will have seen you 27:54
there and I'll be doing more regular 27:57
live streams on YouTube. I want to make 28:00
it useful for you guys and to interact 28:02
with you in real time. On top of that, I 28:04
have my English platform Sprout and on 28:08
Sprout I will be doing four group 28:12
classes per month. So, we'll have a live 28:14
interaction, you and me, and actually be 28:20
able to chat together. So, if you sign 28:23
up for the super subscription, then you 28:26
get access to four group classes per 28:29
month, which at $10, that's $2.50 per 28:32
group class. It's a bloody steal. I hope 28:36
you get benefit from these, and if not, 28:39
I'll see you on the YouTube ones. 28:41
We just left the cafe and look how cute 28:51
these alleys are. The sunlight is 28:53
shining on the bricks and making them a 28:56
really vibrant orange. 28:58
Here we have the plants outside 29:01
somebody's house. 29:04
A green ladder or some steps leading up 29:06
to a platform. And this house is the 29:08
white and blue. It really looks like 29:11
Greece. And there's a mysterious woman. 29:13
This is a map and it's showing us where 29:18
we are and all the different sites and 29:21
locations like cafes, restaurants, 29:24
and places to walk. What's Chang found? 29:28
She's looking at 29:34
a metal grate with padlocks. People have 29:37
declared their love for each other with 29:42
these padlocks just like the ones we saw 29:44
and saw 29:47
a wheelbarrow 29:51
classic. Remember, wherever you are in 29:53
the world, 29:55
have a nice day. 29:58
What does it say? Keep your voice down. 30:05
All right, I need to keep my voice down. 30:07
Okay, we got our first artwork. There is 30:11
a shark 30:14
sticking out his pink tongue holding a 30:15
coconut and smiling in a seedy way. He's 30:18
wearing a sailor's hat or a captain's 30:22
hat. Very cool. And when artwork is 30:25
painted on the wall like this, we call 30:29
it a mural. And this one is a picture of 30:30
a dolphin wearing a Hawaiian shirt. 30:34
There are flamingos on his shirt. 30:37
He's holding a cocktail with a lime 30:41
wedge in. 30:44
Ah, it's a little kitty cat. 30:48
>> Hello. 30:51
Look, guys. 30:53
>> We got a sleepy kitty that is chilling. 30:55
There is a cat bathing, enjoying 30:59
this sunset. 31:05
Look how beautiful this is. 31:10
That means incredible in French. 31:15
A very pink door. And up here we have 31:20
some parasolles to stop the sun, to 31:25
shade you from the sun. And a sign. 31:28
And look who's here. It's Santa. Here, 31:36
Santa is climbing up a ladder, either 31:42
trying to burgle the place to rob them 31:45
or give them presents. Ho ho ho ho. 31:47
Merry Christmas 31:50
>> style. 31:53
A purple hat. 31:55
That is the coolest restroom I've ever 32:00
seen. 32:02
A restroom is a toilet 32:03
or a bathroom. 32:06
And it's beautifully designed with 32:08
mosaic stones. 32:12
Mosaic stones are lots of different 32:15
pieces of porcelain 32:17
>> stuck together 32:22
in this jagged uneven pattern. And 32:24
there, hello, you can see me in the 32:28
mirror. 32:31
Incredible, isn't it? 32:41
Oh, it's a it's a swinging bench. 32:45
Do you want to sit in it? 32:48
Get a lot of that. 33:02
hit my funny bone. 33:16
Your funny bone is that, well, it's not 33:19
even a bone. It's a nerve in your elbow. 33:22
And when you bash your elbow and it's 33:24
really painful, we call that our funny 33:26
bone. And I just hit mine. Anyway, get 33:28
one of you guys. I'll get you in the sun 33:32
with a nice backdrop because actually 33:35

[English]
I am in the train station. Today we're
traveling to Busousan and we will learn
lots of English along the journey. I am
standing on the platform which is the
place that you wait for your trains. And
to my right there are the tracks. These
are the lines that the train runs on.
Each section of the train is called the
carriage or the car. Now time to get on
the train.
We've just arrived at the hotel and
what a view. In the distance, I can see
huge ships on the horizon.
There is a statue of a whale in the
water. And there are lots of white
birds. These white birds are called
seagulls.
Ooh, there's also a lighthouse.
There are people walking along the
beach.
Cool. Let's go down to take a closer
look at everything and explore this
area.
So, we are in Gamion Culture Village,
which is a giant village full of
colorful houses, cute little alleyways,
and right now we are on the viewpoint
looking over the view. We're going to go
in, check it out. The sun is setting, so
everything is beautiful. Let's go see
inside. There's lots of art and colorful
things.
I'm walking down the steps and through
the wooden gates.
Can't close that.
We're walking down a small alley.
And this is actually a corrugated roof.
It's made of metal
and corrugated means it has wavy lines
or ridges so the rain can run off and
drain out.
These stairs are pastel pink and this
wall is pastel green. Pastel is a
lighter version of a color. It has more
white in it. It's more pale just like my
skin.
You'll notice, guys, I have fewer layers
on. I'm not as uh wrapped up because
it's warmer here in Busousan, which is
nice.
This is a mural, which is wall art, and
it's a mural of the little prince, which
is a book that I read in my French class
actually. And this phrase
means you will be uniquely mine in the
worlds and I will be uniquely yours.
It's a beautiful book and if you haven't
read it, I would recommend it.
Okay, this
>> is a truck. On the back of the truck,
there are vegetables,
sweet potatoes,
and
there is a voice coming out of a
speaker, a loud speaker. It's obviously
selling fruit and vegetables. DIY. DIY
stands for do it yourself and it refers
to jobs that you do at home
like hanging up a painting. Do it
yourself.
We have lots of little toys and figures
outside this shop. And it's a to
where is to
grandmother's memory. Oh,
so this is kind of like fun and unusual.
This place, a great a great word we can
use to describe something fun and
unusual is quirky. I am a little bit
quirky as well.
I'll try not to fall over again.
And it's very hilly this area. Hilly
means it has lots of hills and we can
use it as an adjective.
This area is very hilly.
Go through here.
Wow.
This really is quirky. It's very
unusual.
There aren't many places in the world
that you see
colorful houses like this. And lots of
hills, winding alleys,
beautiful sunlight. I mean, look at
that.
Good word to describe a view. Stunning.
Can describe a view, person, or food.
That is stunning.
Oh, hello.
Wow.
Up there there is a woman painting the
wall yellow. She's painting the wall
yellow with a giant paint roller.
Now it's time. It's time.
for a photo shoot.
>> It's chilly.
>> In this picture, a blonde man wearing a
white puffer jacket is looking into the
distance at the colorful houses.
In this picture, Chang is walking
uphill, holding a handbag, and looking
towards the sun. Behind me is Gamchon
Culture Village. A village built on a
hill with loads of colorful houses
clustered together. Clustered means they
are all very close together. You can see
the rooftops of the houses. And right
now the sun is setting. It's dipping
behind the hill and everything looks
pretty.
>> Where's your gloves? My gloves. They're
in my pocket. Yeah, my gloves. I'm
putting on my gloves now because I'm
chilly. Chilly means slightly cold. I'm
not freezing. That means very cold. I'm
just a bit chilly. Bit nippy, actually.
We say nippy in the UK. That's better.
Feeling good. Um, I want a drink. Some
hot drink. I don't know. Let's go find
one. A pink house. Just what I've always
wanted.
Well, when I said, "Let's grab a drink,"
I didn't expect this. This is about the
most feminine drink I've ever had in my
life,
Barbie.
I ordered a pink smoothie. I don't know
what I expected, to be honest. Um, it's
even got sprinkles on. Good word for you
guys. These are sprinkles.
Colorful sweet things on top of the
drink. sprinkles. This is extremely
feminine. I'm not sure I can drink it.
I can and I will. Thankfully, I asked
for it with no sugar, but it looks like
it's got a lot of sugar in still.
It's all right. Tastes like strawberry
and yogurt.
I've just been beaten to my knees. I've
just got brain freeze. Brain freeze is
when you eat too much ice cream or drink
something really cold and your head
really hurts. We call that a brain
freeze
and it's literally taking me down to the
floor.
The cat a friendly cat. She's meowing.
And this is a caricature shop. A
caricature is a cartoon drawing of a
person or an animal where the facial
features are exaggerated. So they might
do you with a massive nose or big ears.
This is a very famous restaurant
apparently and people have left their
reviews on Bunting. This is bunting.
And they've left them with these
colorful pens.
And these pens are in a pot. There are
pots and books on the shelf. And
generally pens, pencils, rulers,
rubbers. We call that stationery.
Stationary.
>> Okay.
>> Here.
>> Yeah. There, please. Thank you.
And then we got mine
>> be soup.
>> Thank you so much.
>> This is a sword. A little sort of
delicious.
>> Okay. Thank you so much.
>> Oh, lovely. So, here we have the beef
soup,
the dumplings,
and you can see the steam rising off the
food. It's steaming hot, we can say.
This soup is steaming hot.
>> I'm just going to burn my mouth.
>> Oh yeah.
Okay. All right, here we go. Transparent
floor. Transparent floor. You can see
you can see through the glass floor and
we call that transparent.
And they gave us some lollipops. I don't
know why, but um maybe so you can have a
suck while you watch the view.
This is cool. Flying through the sky.
First night in Busousan. I'm about to
suck on a lollipop. And our hotel is
just over there in the bay.
It's very pretty. You can see a skywalk
down there, which we're going to go on
tomorrow. Um, first impressions of
Busousan, very enjoyable, great food,
cool place, nice beach town. Hopefully
we don't fall in the ocean. You can see
the cityscape. Cool word. the buildings,
the streets, the lights. The cityscape
is basically the urban version of a
landscape.
Heat. Heat.
Good morning, world. It's day two in
Busousan. The sun is shining. It's a
gorgeous day. And we have found a very
cute coffee shop. So, we're going to get
some brunch now. Breakfast, lunch,
brunch.
Hello.
So pretty in here. Just chilling next to
the plants. And this place is beautiful.
Chang just ordered
eggs in hell, which is like eggs and
tomato sauce with sourdough bread. I
ordered a hummus bowl.
Hummus is mashed chickpeas.
And then we got two coffees. And then
after we I'm going to show you guys
around. They have a very cute dog as
well, which is nice.
>> Thank you.
there.
>> So, breakfast has arrived and not only
does it look delicious, but there's also
some delicious English right now. This
is a coffee in a glass and it sits on a
saucer. This is a saucer.
I have cutlery to eat my food. A knife,
a fork, and a spoon. Cutlery.
I've ordered a hummus bowl. There is
half an avocado,
homemade sourdough bread, hummus with
pistachio nuts and olive oil on. And
then a lovely green salad with kale,
lettuce, grapes, dill, radish, and
walnuts.
We have some sourdough bread in a metal
dish to dip into Chang's dish, which is
a tomato sauce with broccoli and cheese
on top. There are also some eggs inside.
And this is very hot. I can't touch
this. This is called a cast iron dish. A
cast iron dish. Iron is metal and it's
the material that it's made from. And
finally, a bottle of Tabasco.
Cheers, guys.
A person who makes coffees is called a
barista. A person who serves you food is
called a waiter if it's a male. And a
waitress if it's a female.
Be kind. Eat good food. Smile a lot. Pet
the dog. Be you. Say thank you.
The Bbles are hanging by the window.
Watching the view.
The wine bottles are wearing woolly
hats.
The washing is hanging on the washing
line.
It's a sunny day and in the distance the
bridge stretches from one side of the
river to the other.
There is more washing hanging from the
washing line. And there is a kettle bell
on the floor. So maybe the person who
hung these clothes liked to work out
while they waited. I love this place.
They pay close attention to detail,
which means every little detail is well
thought of, well thought about. They
have the bookshelves, the quotes on the
wall, good music, the wooden ceiling
fans, the large lamp shades,
great furniture, great decoration,
and it's a really warm, cozy, light,
bright feeling in here. It's lovely.
>> If you ever come to Busousan, I would
highly recommend this place. Koshi.
We just got out the taxi and about to
head to the museum. But look at this
place. It's very cool. What do I see?
I see very big ships.
That red thing is a crane and it's used
for lifting very heavy things.
There are giant rubber tires on the edge
of the ship and big thick ropes.
So, you would call this place a port. A
port is a place where ships come and go.
It's different to a dock. A dock is like
a car park for ships. A dock is a place
where ships rest. But this is an
industrial port. And that is a giant
yacht suspended in the air.
Let's go.
So, we are going to the art museum.
Eternal nature. Eternal means living
forever.
Chang is inserting the card into the
slot, clicking next, and paying 38,1.
The ticket is printing.
Now the ticket
has printed.
Jack's taking the card and let's go.
The
infinite
circle
behind
And the floor was made of mirrors, so it
made you feel like you were in a giant
waterfall.
This room was Chang's favorite because
she loves the smell of roses. Uh, it's
super sweet. The sound was amazing and
the light was unreal.
These are sunflowers and they are slowly
fading
into a rose.
These liies are also fading into roses.
There are pink petals on the black
floor.
These flowers are transforming from dead
to alive, colorful, and bright.
There was a piano, so I had to go and
tinkle around, improvise, play some
keys.
The next room was a tornado room. A
tornado is a strong whirlwind.
Heavy rain.
This room was trippy.
This room had to be my favorite of the
entire museum. him. They were playing
CLA DeLoon while showing us Vang Go's
artwork.
This was probably the best museum I've
ever been to in my life.
It was full of light shows and digital
art.
It was pretty special.
There is a UFO flying across the screen
and a manta ray floating above
Busousan's cultural village.
Everyone is
>> Hello.
>> Hello.
>> We just had the most amazing experience
in the art museum and just been in the
gift shop. There you go. And now in a
photo booth. Standard procedure. Photos
in 3 2 1.
Okay, we got another one.
Let's see the result. 3 2 1
>> Cute.
>> We just had the most wonderful time at
the museum. It was really immersive,
meaning the light and the sounds and the
smells really immersed you. It gave you
a powerful feeling. And now we're in
another cultural village.
It feels like Greece or something here.
Apparently, there's loads of artwork in
this area and it's right by the coast.
So, the plan is to look at the art, find
a cafe, drink some nice coffee, and then
I've got a YouTube live stream. So, this
will be me in the future. I will have
done that YouTube live stream in in a
few weeks time. Um, that's the plan for
now. Tonight, get dinner and continue to
explore the lovely Busousan. Let's go.
And look at this, guys. It's printing on
blocks of wood,
printing images, printing pictures on a
block of wood.
And that mechanism is going back and
forth, left and right.
Philadelphia cheese ice cream.
Ordering an ice cream. Of course, it's
just about warm enough.
Be right back.
It's
>> vanilla ice cream with melted chocolate
on top. And the chocolate solidifies,
meaning it hardens.
It goes from melted to solid.
Ice cream.
>> Ice cream in a tub. We call this a tub.
Small tub. Different than a cone. Yeah.
A cone is a triangle one that is made of
wafer and you eat it. This is a tub. Ice
cream in a tub or ice cream in a cone.
>> This one's a tub.
We just stopped to get some stickers for
the fridge, some
fridge magnets for decorating our fridge
back home. And
the best thing ever. Had to come back
for this.
It's Mario in a tux tuxedo and Peach.
So that's going to take pride of place
on a shelf in our house. Cool. And this
is a gift shop.
This is a sign for a cafe. On the sign,
it has Korean writing and an image of a
champagne glass or a champagne flute.
This is another cocktail glass.
You okay there? Do you want to hand me
something? All right, guys. We're going
up some very, very steep stairs. Steep
means it's whoop. You all right there,
Ch? You want me to grab the camera?
I feel like I'm pulling you up a
mountain.
There we go. Steep stairs to the
probably too bright view for you, but
that looks incredible.
I'm just about to hop onto the YouTube
live stream. So, I'll see you there. Or
maybe in the future I will have seen you
there and I'll be doing more regular
live streams on YouTube. I want to make
it useful for you guys and to interact
with you in real time. On top of that, I
have my English platform Sprout and on
Sprout I will be doing four group
classes per month. So, we'll have a live
interaction, you and me, and actually be
able to chat together. So, if you sign
up for the super subscription, then you
get access to four group classes per
month, which at $10, that's $2.50 per
group class. It's a bloody steal. I hope
you get benefit from these, and if not,
I'll see you on the YouTube ones.
We just left the cafe and look how cute
these alleys are. The sunlight is
shining on the bricks and making them a
really vibrant orange.
Here we have the plants outside
somebody's house.
A green ladder or some steps leading up
to a platform. And this house is the
white and blue. It really looks like
Greece. And there's a mysterious woman.
This is a map and it's showing us where
we are and all the different sites and
locations like cafes, restaurants,
and places to walk. What's Chang found?
She's looking at
a metal grate with padlocks. People have
declared their love for each other with
these padlocks just like the ones we saw
and saw
a wheelbarrow
classic. Remember, wherever you are in
the world,
have a nice day.
What does it say? Keep your voice down.
All right, I need to keep my voice down.
Okay, we got our first artwork. There is
a shark
sticking out his pink tongue holding a
coconut and smiling in a seedy way. He's
wearing a sailor's hat or a captain's
hat. Very cool. And when artwork is
painted on the wall like this, we call
it a mural. And this one is a picture of
a dolphin wearing a Hawaiian shirt.
There are flamingos on his shirt.
He's holding a cocktail with a lime
wedge in.
Ah, it's a little kitty cat.
>> Hello.
Look, guys.
>> We got a sleepy kitty that is chilling.
There is a cat bathing, enjoying
this sunset.
Look how beautiful this is.
That means incredible in French.
A very pink door. And up here we have
some parasolles to stop the sun, to
shade you from the sun. And a sign.
And look who's here. It's Santa. Here,
Santa is climbing up a ladder, either
trying to burgle the place to rob them
or give them presents. Ho ho ho ho.
Merry Christmas
>> style.
A purple hat.
That is the coolest restroom I've ever
seen.
A restroom is a toilet
or a bathroom.
And it's beautifully designed with
mosaic stones.
Mosaic stones are lots of different
pieces of porcelain
>> stuck together
in this jagged uneven pattern. And
there, hello, you can see me in the
mirror.
Incredible, isn't it?
Oh, it's a it's a swinging bench.
Do you want to sit in it?
Get a lot of that.
hit my funny bone.
Your funny bone is that, well, it's not
even a bone. It's a nerve in your elbow.
And when you bash your elbow and it's
really painful, we call that our funny
bone. And I just hit mine. Anyway, get
one of you guys. I'll get you in the sun
with a nice backdrop because actually
it's Chang I'm taking a photo of
we go. Cheese. Kimchi.
The sun is setting. The sky is red. And
the final word of the day is a verb.
The sun is glowing. Glowing means giving
off a soft light.

  • These white birds are called seagulls.

➔ Passive voice ('are called') and noun identification.

➔ The verb **'are called'** is in the passive voice, meaning the birds *receive* the action of being named. It's not that they name themselves.
