hello welcome to my new york city 00:06
apartment 00:08
[Music] 00:15
all right so some cool 00:23
so 00:26
some quick specs on the place before we 00:26
get into it this is technically a large 00:28
one-bedroom apartment however my 00:31
roommate and i put in a flex wall to 00:33
make it a two-bedroom apartment we'll 00:35
get into it first thing right off of the 00:37
entryway we have this very large 00:39
communal closet my roommate is actually 00:42
out of town so it's empty right now but 00:44
that's the first closet and it's a big 00:46
one next little thing that we have here 00:47
is this table so we're all about 00:49
functionality in this household this one 00:51
actually i'm not gonna do it right now 00:53
but it doubles in size if you will we 00:55
move this into the kitchen if we have 00:57
extra people over to play drinking games 00:58
you know things that kids get up to so 01:01
that's what we have here but most of the 01:03
time we just kind of leave it as an 01:05
entryway table we put our 01:06
keys here 01:08
whole decorations that are definitely 01:09
always 01:12
there moving into the living space we 01:13
have this futon like i said we're all 01:15
about functionality in this house so 01:17
this folds out to be twice the size we 01:19
have had people sleep on it before what 01:21
was it 120 from amazon i'll link all 01:23
this stuff down below moving into the 01:26
kitchen i actually really like this 01:28
kitchen we have a ton of storage 01:30
these are all as you can see we have 01:32
pots and pans these are all soft closed 01:34
doors so 01:37
you don't hear a thing 01:39
lots and lots of storage and they go up 01:40
really high 01:42
helps that i'm tall i can reach the top 01:44
shelves we have gas burning stoves which 01:46
i'm personally a fan of in college i did 01:48
have some electric ones and they were 01:50
not as good large refrigerator or i 01:52
don't know if it's large it's a normal 01:55
size refrigerator 01:56
normal size refrigerator freezer 01:58
oven and then something that is not in 02:01
every new york city apartment a 02:03
dishwasher 02:05
absolutely love it what else couple more 02:06
little things we have these ottomans 02:09
which actually can hold i think it was 02:11
up to 50 pounds we got them on amazon so 02:12
120 120 02:14
120 no 140 because i could stand on them 02:17
so 02:20
140 pounds and we use them as sex tools 02:20
a lot of time they also double as kind 02:24
of storage bins so 02:26
once again functionality and back to the 02:28
flex wall this is something that we 02:30
constructed on our own it took some 02:32
doing but it is how we're able to make 02:34
this into a 02:36
two bedroom instead of a really large 02:38
one bedroom all right i get a lot of 02:39
questions about my flex wall did we put 02:41
it up ourselves is it legal in new york 02:43
city etc so a little word on flex walls 02:44
there are three main types the first one 02:47
is called a pressurized wall which are 02:49
ones that go all the way up to the 02:51
ceiling and it basically looks like the 02:52
room was meant to be there and that it 02:54
was built into the apartment in the 02:55
first place these are still installed 02:57
without screws or nails though so in 02:58
theory it will not leave a mark on the 03:00
walls when you take it down second there 03:01
are partial walls which are very similar 03:03
to pressurized walls and that they're 03:05
installed without screws and nails but 03:06
they don't go all the way to the ceiling 03:08
they'll come short about a foot or 03:09
something like that so it's not the best 03:11
option for privacy purposes but there 03:12
are still a ton of use cases for partial 03:14
walls and then the third are bookshelf 03:15
walls which as the name suggests are not 03:17
really walls at all but rather 03:19
freestanding bookshelves that help 03:20
create some separation and sound 03:22
insulation for a new partitioned off 03:23
portion of your apartment now what my 03:26
roommate and i did was sort of a mixture 03:27
of these and it was especially tricky 03:29
for us because our apartment has 12 foot 03:31
ceilings so we have freestanding 03:33
bookshelves as a large part of the wall 03:34
but then two by fours going all the way 03:36
up to the ceiling plus some l brackets 03:37
down on the ground to give the 03:39
bookshelves some stability additionally 03:40
we have some of that pinkish purple foam 03:42
core material that you guys saw which 03:44
helps add some sound proofing and even 03:46
in between the foam and the walls we 03:47
added this cushiony type material to try 03:49
to help with the sound proofing as well 03:51
in other words we macgyver the out 03:52
of this wall if you will and in 03:54
hindsight we would have gladly paid a 03:55
thousand two thousand for someone to 03:57
come install it instead but it was an 03:58
adventure so are these flex walls 04:00
illegal in new york city a lot of it is 04:02
actually building specific to install a 04:04
pressurized wall your landlord will have 04:06
to obtain the proper permits and a new 04:07
certificate of occupancy from the new 04:09
york city department of buildings for 04:11
safety reasons in any case i think your 04:13
best plan of action is to ask your 04:14
landlord or be transparent ahead of time 04:16
if you have plans to do something like 04:18
this and confirm that it will be okay my 04:19
roommate and i confirmed with our 04:21
leasing agent before signing for this 04:23
apartment it was okay to put up this 04:24
sort of bookshelf flex wall to make this 04:26
apartment into a two bedroom flex and we 04:28
wouldn't have signed the lease otherwise 04:30
in conclusion even though it can be 04:31
quite the undertaking to construct a 04:33
flex wall yourself or a fairly hefty 04:34
upfront fee to have someone come and 04:37
install it anywhere from 850 to 2000 04:38
depending on the type of wall i think 04:41
flex balls are an amazing way to save a 04:42
lot of money on rent living somewhere 04:44
like new york city and back to the paid 04:46
programming so let's go into the first 04:48
bedroom this is not mine it's my 04:50
roommates but like i said she's out of 04:52
town so it's a little empty right now 04:54
and by a little empty i mean completely 04:55
empty and by out of town i mean that she 04:57
was in between jobs and traveled for 04:59
three months while i lived with an 05:00
amazing subletter and i filmed this on 05:01
the very day that the subletter moved 05:03
out right before my roommate moved back 05:04
in that's why it's completely empty 05:06
i feel like i had to address that but it 05:08
is as you can see 05:10
very sizable so obviously we compromised 05:12
a little bit on having a smaller living 05:14
area in order to have this other large 05:16
bedroom so this is what the flex wall 05:19
looked like beforehand before we put 05:22
that white sheet on out there it's kind 05:23
of this pinky color it's foam so it 05:25
actually helps with the sound a little 05:27
bit but 05:29
you know 05:30
torture chamber vibes a little bit some 05:31
bookshelves to have storage because this 05:32
was originally the living space there's 05:35
not a built-in closet in this room so 05:37
that's kind of why we wanted to use 05:39
bookshelves or bookcases as the wall 05:40
lots of storage there and then the view 05:43
here is amazing as well it's actually on 05:45
a corner just like my bedroom i like the 05:47
way the building is kind of cut 05:49
l's do you know what i mean so you get 05:51
more corner bedrooms anyway that's 05:53
actually my bedroom right across the way 05:54
and we're gonna go take a look 05:56
here in the hallway we have one of new 06:00
york city's biggest luxury amenities 06:02
laundry in unit absolutely love having 06:05
this like i said that is really not the 06:07
case for new york city and a lot of 06:09
apartments so it's very nice to have 06:11
next we have this other 06:12
large closet in the hallway it's the one 06:14
that my roommate uses because like i 06:17
said that second bedroom which was 06:19
originally the living space does not 06:20
have a built-in closet so she uses 06:22
this one as her main one all of these 06:25
are so tall like they go all the way up 06:27
there i don't know if you can tell 06:28
moving 06:30
along into the bathroom 06:31
this is the bathroom 06:34
as you can see another lovely view for 06:35
those who are curious no we do not 06:38
shower with an open we have 06:40
a privacy brand that we can put down 06:42
whenever we shower but 06:43
when we're not in there it is nice to 06:45
kind of let some of the light into the 06:46
hallway so along with that we have this 06:48
vessel sink additional storage and nice 06:50
lights right behind the mirror and we 06:53
actually have some more storage over 06:55
here as well it's pretty shallow but you 06:56
know better than nothing and i found out 06:59
fairly recently that we also have heater 07:01
in here so i put that on when it gets a 07:03
little chilly and it's nice to have 07:04
right when you get out of the shower and 07:06
let's do another large reveal 07:07
and now my bedroom 07:11
i felt that warranted another knock come 07:13
on in 07:15
[Music] 07:16
welcome to the official taylor's bedroom 07:24
tour so starting off over here i decided 07:27
to go ahead and make it all storage i 07:30
ordered how many are here i ordered a 07:33
bunch more of the gray boxes to do 07:35
storage of all kinds i have it organized 07:38
some are closed some down here i'm gonna 07:40
look over here i have my technology here 07:43
so my microphone stuff like that and 07:46
then some misleading somewhere actually 07:48
empty so i have some additional storage 07:50
for the future so this is actually brand 07:52
new i had the bookshelf like sitting 07:54
here for a long time but then actually 07:55
constructed it so there's a brand new 07:57
net new bookshelf i put my makeup up 07:59
here 08:01
my voice cried but i didn't want this to 08:02
be the first thing i saw when i walked 08:04
in because even though it is a little 08:06
bit more organized since i got little 08:07
cups and things it's still not the 08:09
prettiest thing in the world so i have 08:11
it over here just some things i did to 08:13
organize this space a little bit better 08:15
bought some of these tumblers from 08:17
target and just you know kind of 08:18
organize it like these are the things i 08:20
use every day these are some things i 08:21
don't use every day and then down here i 08:23
have my all-time favorite candies 08:25
fantastic my journal my pepper spray 08:27
it's new york city 08:31
and then a couple extra storage bins 08:32
where i put like my self-care items so 08:34
nail polish remover cotton rounds things 08:37
like that 08:40
finally finishing off with 08:41
my trash can 08:43
and then you know 08:46
paper towel so 08:48
nothing crazy but it works and moving 08:49
over 08:52
here we have my queen size bed which i'm 08:53
very excited about because my first two 08:56
years of college i had a twin bed 08:58
then i had a full bed this is my first 09:00
queen bed and i like it i feel like a 09:02
king 09:04
a queen in it and then over here we have 09:05
my bedside table nothing fancy i will 09:08
say that you know i bought this part on 09:11
amazon and it was a little smaller than 09:14
i liked it so put this heavy duty tile 09:15
on top to just extend it and don't worry 09:18
it's like very sturdy it's not gonna 09:20
push down so that just gives me a little 09:22
bit of extra room it's kind of this 09:24
white marble pro tip you can get these 09:25
tiles for like 1.50 cents at home depot 09:28
and just you know find a place for them 09:31
and then in here i just have my 09:33
necessities 09:34
my necessities like melatonin and lotion 09:38
and my sleeping mask 09:42
and cookies 09:44
and then down here i have my ipad my 09:45
jimmy chin coffee table book i really 09:48
got like the blue vibe i got going down 09:50
there and finally my happy cup 09:52
i call it that 09:55
like a four-year-old bite because it's 09:56
yellow 09:58
and then of course two for turtle you 09:59
guys know 10:01
all right moving over 10:02
where shall we go next moving over here 10:04
as if it's like a huge room and moving 10:07
over here we have my workspace which if 10:09
you guys have seen my videos you've 10:11
already seen kind of this area but 10:13
here's an official tour so i will say 10:15
this puppy is brand spanking new put 10:17
them together 10:20
last week huge puffy 10:21
white kind of goes along with my 10:24
minimalistic vibe that i've somehow 10:25
accidentally constructed in this room 10:27
but very comfortable my last one was not 10:29
comfortable i got it for free 10:31
in the building so how comfy can it 10:33
really be you know i have two kind of 10:35
sections the first one this is for 10:37
actual work my consulting job i sit here 10:39
many hours a day and i like it i put it 10:42
this way because that's my favorite view 10:45
the billionaires row even more so than 10:47
the water but anyway personal preference 10:49
so this is where i do my actual like 10:51
consulting job work and you might notice 10:53
i have a little space heater down by my 10:56
feet can you see it um because my little 10:58
piggies they get 11:01
they get really cold right by the window 11:02
here in the winter 11:04
moving over to this side this is for 11:05
personal use so this is where i edit my 11:08
youtube videos 11:10
anything on my personal computer so 11:11
business 11:14
[Music] 11:15
classic 11:17
business pleasure and then i also like 11:18
to have a little pop of color here these 11:20
are dying but they last a really long 11:23
time but they're still really beautiful 11:24
and so i like have flowers there or 11:26
something and then i also have little 11:28
planties kind of around my bedroom 11:29
and yeah there's a couple more things i 11:33
don't want to forget i guess right here 11:35
i actually made use again of one of 11:37
these tiles same one is over there the 11:39
kind of 1.50 marble tile 11:41
and then this tissue box just so 11:44
happened to fit perfectly with the color 11:45
scheme and then my lamp which used to be 11:47
turned i don't it was turned this way it 11:51
took up too much of the view so push it 11:53
all the way back what else 11:55
it's not a big room there's not like a 11:58
ton to go over 11:59
i have a bunch of little planties here 12:00
six foot five history they're all fake 12:02
faux if you will which means fake and 12:05
french and then finally something come a 12:08
little closer to this 12:10
and then also have it 12:12
and i also have a horseshoe which has 12:15
the dirt from the kentucky derby 12:18
racetrack which i thought was pretty 12:20
cool got it in kentucky almost forgot my 12:22
closet space so like i've kind of 12:24
mentioned throughout this apartment the 12:26
closets are actually really really large 12:28
for new york okay not for 12:30
whatever anywhere else i have all my 12:33
things in here i have my sweaters and 12:35
then i got this kind of hanging shelf to 12:38
fit more of my like jeans and t-shirts 12:40
and such got all my shoes down there 12:41
so i'm up here and then like my huge 12:45
suitcases up there so plenty of room 12:47
there and then let me show you the other 12:49
side and then over here 12:50
even more things and it goes up like i 12:53
said 12:56
really high to the point you need to 12:57
step water to get up there so i like 12:59
having all that room what else and then 13:01
i think they'll just voice over stop it 13:03
oh and then i guess one more thing 13:05
because we're just all over the place 13:07
right now i have two racks for coats 13:08
towels and such 13:11
it's it looks like a lot right now just 13:13
because it's winter so there's a lot of 13:14
puffs happening here but 13:16
oh one more thing there's so much in 13:18
this ginormous room there is also along 13:20
with all the storage that i already 13:23
showed you like all these things there 13:24
is plenty room for 13:26
additional storage under the bed i have 13:29
all my tools and stuff in here 13:31
and there's some other things too so 13:33
that's nice pro tip i guess if you live 13:34
in a small space make sure your bed 13:36
frame is somewhat elevated so you can 13:38
put things underneath it any other 13:39
details there 13:41
maybe that you're 13:44
amphibian baby fancy tequila and while 13:46
i'm thinking about it a question that i 13:50
get all the time is do you feel no sense 13:51
of privacy with those windows can people 13:53
see in during the day there is a pretty 13:55
much complete reflection on the windows 13:57
that no you can't really see in at all 13:58
at night of course if you have your 14:00
lights on and your blinds are still 14:02
retracted then yes you can see in but of 14:03
course i close my blinds when i need to 14:05
close my blinds so i waited a long time 14:06
to film this apartment tour i actually 14:08
moved in six months ago but i took my 14:10
sweet time getting it furnished getting 14:12
it somewhat decorated and i don't want 14:14
to just show you my bare bones bedroom 14:15
still feels pretty bare bones but you 14:18
know what i mean and truth be told it is 14:19
still not done i think that some of the 14:21
main things that will make this place 14:22
feel a little more homey and cozy is 14:24
adding some art pieces to the wall above 14:26
my bed again we have 12 foot ceilings so 14:28
it's just a lot of white space right now 14:30
and then i'll probably add a rug 14:32
underneath my bed just to make it feel 14:33
more cozy and homey so i'll keep you 14:34
guys updated when i actually do that how 14:36
much does all of this cost you might 14:37
wonder well it was a coveted deal so we 14:39
got two months free which brought our 14:41
net effective rate for the whole place 14:43
to thirty six hundred dollars per month 14:45
and because i have a roommate and 14:47
constructed that flex wall that i showed 14:48
you i pay 18.75 per month not effective 14:50
which for this view 14:54
and 14:55
everything 14:57
is very good in new york you might not 14:58
think it is but it is 15:00
okay 15:03
well that's it thank you vogue for 15:05
coming to a look at my bedroom and until 15:06
next time 15:09
[Music] 15:15
so 15:30
waiting on continuity so is that 15:31
flexible we are going to talk about is 15:33
the flex wall 15:35
you 15:43

[Music]
hello welcome to my new york city
apartment
[Music]
all right so some cool
so
some quick specs on the place before we
get into it this is technically a large
one-bedroom apartment however my
roommate and i put in a flex wall to
make it a two-bedroom apartment we'll
get into it first thing right off of the
entryway we have this very large
communal closet my roommate is actually
out of town so it's empty right now but
that's the first closet and it's a big
one next little thing that we have here
is this table so we're all about
functionality in this household this one
actually i'm not gonna do it right now
but it doubles in size if you will we
move this into the kitchen if we have
extra people over to play drinking games
you know things that kids get up to so
that's what we have here but most of the
time we just kind of leave it as an
entryway table we put our
keys here
whole decorations that are definitely
always
there moving into the living space we
have this futon like i said we're all
about functionality in this house so
this folds out to be twice the size we
have had people sleep on it before what
was it 120 from amazon i'll link all
this stuff down below moving into the
kitchen i actually really like this
kitchen we have a ton of storage
these are all as you can see we have
pots and pans these are all soft closed
doors so
you don't hear a thing
lots and lots of storage and they go up
really high
helps that i'm tall i can reach the top
shelves we have gas burning stoves which
i'm personally a fan of in college i did
have some electric ones and they were
not as good large refrigerator or i
don't know if it's large it's a normal
size refrigerator
normal size refrigerator freezer
oven and then something that is not in
every new york city apartment a
dishwasher
absolutely love it what else couple more
little things we have these ottomans
which actually can hold i think it was
up to 50 pounds we got them on amazon so
120 120
120 no 140 because i could stand on them
so
140 pounds and we use them as sex tools
a lot of time they also double as kind
of storage bins so
once again functionality and back to the
flex wall this is something that we
constructed on our own it took some
doing but it is how we're able to make
this into a
two bedroom instead of a really large
one bedroom all right i get a lot of
questions about my flex wall did we put
it up ourselves is it legal in new york
city etc so a little word on flex walls
there are three main types the first one
is called a pressurized wall which are
ones that go all the way up to the

are partial walls which are very similar
to pressurized walls and that they're

they'll come short about a foot or
something like that so it's not the best

we have some of that pinkish purple foam
core material that you guys saw which
helps add some sound proofing and even
in between the foam and the walls we
added this cushiony type material to try
to help with the sound proofing as well
in other words we macgyver the out
of this wall if you will and in
hindsight we would have gladly paid a
thousand two thousand for someone to
come install it instead but it was an
adventure so are these flex walls
illegal in new york city a lot of it is
actually building specific to install a
pressurized wall your landlord will have
to obtain the proper permits and a new
certificate of occupancy from the new
york city department of buildings for
safety reasons in any case i think your
best plan of action is to ask your
landlord or be transparent ahead of time
if you have plans to do something like
this and confirm that it will be okay my
roommate and i confirmed with our
leasing agent before signing for this
apartment it was okay to put up this
sort of bookshelf flex wall to make this
apartment into a two bedroom flex and we
wouldn't have signed the lease otherwise
in conclusion even though it can be
quite the undertaking to construct a
flex wall yourself or a fairly hefty
upfront fee to have someone come and
install it anywhere from 850 to 2000
depending on the type of wall i think
flex balls are an amazing way to save a
lot of money on rent living somewhere
like new york city and back to the paid
programming so let's go into the first
bedroom this is not mine it's my
roommates but like i said she's out of
town so it's a little empty right now
and by a little empty i mean completely
empty and by out of town i mean that she
was in between jobs and traveled for
three months while i lived with an
amazing subletter and i filmed this on
the very day that the subletter moved
out right before my roommate moved back
in that's why it's completely empty
i feel like i had to address that but it
is as you can see
very sizable so obviously we compromised
a little bit on having a smaller living
area in order to have this other large
bedroom so this is what the flex wall
looked like beforehand before we put
that white sheet on out there it's kind
of this pinky color it's foam so it
actually helps with the sound a little
bit but
you know
torture chamber vibes a little bit some
bookshelves to have storage because this
was originally the living space there's
not a built-in closet in this room so
that's kind of why we wanted to use
bookshelves or bookcases as the wall
lots of storage there and then the view
here is amazing as well it's actually on
a corner just like my bedroom i like the
way the building is kind of cut
l's do you know what i mean so you get
more corner bedrooms anyway that's
actually my bedroom right across the way
and we're gonna go take a look
here in the hallway we have one of new
york city's biggest luxury amenities
laundry in unit absolutely love having
this like i said that is really not the
case for new york city and a lot of
apartments so it's very nice to have
next we have this other
large closet in the hallway it's the one
that my roommate uses because like i
said that second bedroom which was
originally the living space does not
have a built-in closet so she uses
this one as her main one all of these
are so tall like they go all the way up
there i don't know if you can tell
moving
along into the bathroom
this is the bathroom
as you can see another lovely view for
those who are curious no we do not
shower with an open we have
a privacy brand that we can put down
whenever we shower but
when we're not in there it is nice to
kind of let some of the light into the
hallway so along with that we have this
vessel sink additional storage and nice
lights right behind the mirror and we
actually have some more storage over
here as well it's pretty shallow but you
know better than nothing and i found out
fairly recently that we also have heater
in here so i put that on when it gets a
little chilly and it's nice to have
right when you get out of the shower and
let's do another large reveal
and now my bedroom
i felt that warranted another knock come
on in
[Music]
welcome to the official taylor's bedroom
tour so starting off over here i decided
to go ahead and make it all storage i
ordered how many are here i ordered a
bunch more of the gray boxes to do
storage of all kinds i have it organized
some are closed some down here i'm gonna
look over here i have my technology here
so my microphone stuff like that and
then some misleading somewhere actually
empty so i have some additional storage
for the future so this is actually brand
new i had the bookshelf like sitting
here for a long time but then actually
constructed it so there's a brand new
net new bookshelf i put my makeup up
here
my voice cried but i didn't want this to
be the first thing i saw when i walked
in because even though it is a little
bit more organized since i got little
cups and things it's still not the
prettiest thing in the world so i have
it over here just some things i did to
organize this space a little bit better
bought some of these tumblers from
target and just you know kind of
organize it like these are the things i
use every day these are some things i
don't use every day and then down here i
have my all-time favorite candies
fantastic my journal my pepper spray
it's new york city
and then a couple extra storage bins
where i put like my self-care items so
nail polish remover cotton rounds things
like that
finally finishing off with
my trash can
and then you know
paper towel so
nothing crazy but it works and moving
over
here we have my queen size bed which i'm
very excited about because my first two
years of college i had a twin bed
then i had a full bed this is my first
queen bed and i like it i feel like a
king
a queen in it and then over here we have
my bedside table nothing fancy i will
say that you know i bought this part on
amazon and it was a little smaller than
i liked it so put this heavy duty tile
on top to just extend it and don't worry
it's like very sturdy it's not gonna
push down so that just gives me a little
bit of extra room it's kind of this
white marble pro tip you can get these
tiles for like 1.50 cents at home depot
and just you know find a place for them
and then in here i just have my
necessities
my necessities like melatonin and lotion
and my sleeping mask
and cookies
and then down here i have my ipad my
jimmy chin coffee table book i really
got like the blue vibe i got going down
there and finally my happy cup
i call it that
like a four-year-old bite because it's
yellow
and then of course two for turtle you
guys know
all right moving over
where shall we go next moving over here
as if it's like a huge room and moving
over here we have my workspace which if
you guys have seen my videos you've
already seen kind of this area but
here's an official tour so i will say
this puppy is brand spanking new put
them together
last week huge puffy
white kind of goes along with my
minimalistic vibe that i've somehow
accidentally constructed in this room
but very comfortable my last one was not
comfortable i got it for free
in the building so how comfy can it
really be you know i have two kind of
sections the first one this is for
actual work my consulting job i sit here
many hours a day and i like it i put it
this way because that's my favorite view
the billionaires row even more so than
the water but anyway personal preference
so this is where i do my actual like
consulting job work and you might notice
i have a little space heater down by my
feet can you see it um because my little
piggies they get
they get really cold right by the window
here in the winter
moving over to this side this is for
personal use so this is where i edit my
youtube videos
anything on my personal computer so
business
[Music]
classic
business pleasure and then i also like
to have a little pop of color here these
are dying but they last a really long
time but they're still really beautiful
and so i like have flowers there or
something and then i also have little
planties kind of around my bedroom
and yeah there's a couple more things i
don't want to forget i guess right here
i actually made use again of one of
these tiles same one is over there the
kind of 1.50 marble tile
and then this tissue box just so
happened to fit perfectly with the color
scheme and then my lamp which used to be
turned i don't it was turned this way it
took up too much of the view so push it
all the way back what else
it's not a big room there's not like a
ton to go over
i have a bunch of little planties here
six foot five history they're all fake
faux if you will which means fake and
french and then finally something come a
little closer to this
and then also have it
and i also have a horseshoe which has
the dirt from the kentucky derby
racetrack which i thought was pretty
cool got it in kentucky almost forgot my
closet space so like i've kind of
mentioned throughout this apartment the
closets are actually really really large
for new york okay not for
whatever anywhere else i have all my
things in here i have my sweaters and
then i got this kind of hanging shelf to
fit more of my like jeans and t-shirts
and such got all my shoes down there
so i'm up here and then like my huge
suitcases up there so plenty of room
there and then let me show you the other
side and then over here
even more things and it goes up like i
said
really high to the point you need to
step water to get up there so i like
having all that room what else and then
i think they'll just voice over stop it
oh and then i guess one more thing
because we're just all over the place
right now i have two racks for coats
towels and such
it's it looks like a lot right now just
because it's winter so there's a lot of
puffs happening here but
oh one more thing there's so much in
this ginormous room there is also along
with all the storage that i already
showed you like all these things there
is plenty room for
additional storage under the bed i have
all my tools and stuff in here
and there's some other things too so
that's nice pro tip i guess if you live
in a small space make sure your bed
frame is somewhat elevated so you can
put things underneath it any other
details there
maybe that you're
amphibian baby fancy tequila and while
i'm thinking about it a question that i
get all the time is do you feel no sense
of privacy with those windows can people
see in during the day there is a pretty
much complete reflection on the windows
that no you can't really see in at all
at night of course if you have your
lights on and your blinds are still
retracted then yes you can see in but of
course i close my blinds when i need to
close my blinds so i waited a long time
to film this apartment tour i actually
moved in six months ago but i took my
sweet time getting it furnished getting
it somewhat decorated and i don't want
to just show you my bare bones bedroom
still feels pretty bare bones but you
know what i mean and truth be told it is
still not done i think that some of the
main things that will make this place
feel a little more homey and cozy is
adding some art pieces to the wall above
my bed again we have 12 foot ceilings so
it's just a lot of white space right now
and then i'll probably add a rug
underneath my bed just to make it feel
more cozy and homey so i'll keep you
guys updated when i actually do that how
much does all of this cost you might
wonder well it was a coveted deal so we
got two months free which brought our
net effective rate for the whole place
to thirty six hundred dollars per month
and because i have a roommate and
constructed that flex wall that i showed
you i pay 18.75 per month not effective
which for this view
and
everything
is very good in new york you might not
think it is but it is
okay
well that's it thank you vogue for
coming to a look at my bedroom and until
next time
[Music]
so
waiting on continuity so is that
flexible we are going to talk about is
the flex wall
you
