welcome to my beautiful apartment here 00:00
in chiang mai thailand today i'm going 00:02
to teach you all the english you need to 00:06
give an apartment tour in english now 00:09
yesterday i told you how you could use 00:12
this idea to make money okay so if you 00:15
haven't seen that video I'll post it 00:18
right up here at the end of this video 00:21
giving an apartment tour is so easy you 00:23
just need to remember these five things 00:27
okay introduction descriptions 00:29
transitions personal opinions and the 00:33
ending so your introduction how are you 00:37
going to start the video well you could 00:40
say something simple like welcome to 00:43
this beautiful apartment here in Chiang 00:46
Mai Thailand today I'm going to give you 00:48
a tour of this apartment just something 00:51
easy like that okay and you're going to 00:54
need description you're gonna be 00:56
describing everything right okay what 00:59
does it look like you know you're gonna 01:02
be using words like cute and cozy you 01:04
know large beautiful those kind of 01:08
description words right that the 01:11
bathroom is cute or the kitchen is nice 01:13
and cozy it's it's not good to use the 01:16
word small when you're giving an 01:19
apartment tour the words cute and cozy 01:21
are much nicer they're sort of more 01:23
positive and more friendly than if you 01:26
if you describe something as small okay 01:29
also transitions okay what's a 01:33
transition well what are you going to 01:36
say when you move from one room to the 01:39
next room you're gonna say something 01:42
like this 01:44
alright now let's move into the kitchen 01:45
okay alright you're you're you're going 01:48
from one thing to another that's what 01:51
the word transition means okay also 01:53
you're going to give some personal 01:56
opinions let me ask you a question what 01:59
kind of mood do you want to have in your 02:02
video what kind of feeling do you want 02:05
your viewers to get do you want your 02:08
video to be sad 02:11
I hate this apartment it's it's not a 02:13
good apartment it's it's really small 02:17
you know if I were you I wouldn't live 02:19
here in this apartment it really sucks 02:22
no you don't want your video to be set 02:26
do you want your video to be funny well 02:29
probably not I mean you could make it 02:32
funny if you want but people probably 02:35
aren't you know wanting to watch a funny 02:38
video 02:41
what about professional do you want your 02:42
video to be professional yeah that would 02:44
probably be good and one of the problems 02:47
with being professional is sometimes 02:50
people are too serious today I'm going 02:52
to show you this apartment let's start 02:56
in the bedroom and move into the living 02:58
room and the kitchen you know it's just 03:02
it's a bit cold and you know a bit 03:04
impersonal okay so you want to make the 03:07
video personal you want it to be 03:11
professional and personal I would say 03:13
that's the best kind of feeling to have 03:16
so I think it's a great idea to give it 03:19
a sort of a personal touch 03:21
okay for example you could say I think 03:23
you're gonna love this kitchen or you 03:26
know my favorite thing about this condo 03:29
is this huge bedroom window which lets 03:31
in a lot of natural light you're sort of 03:35
giving your your personal feeling you 03:37
know what what you like or what you 03:40
think the other person is going to like 03:41
I think you're gonna love I think you're 03:44
gonna love this this king-sized bed 03:46
something like that right you're just 03:48
trying to make it a bit a bit more 03:50
personal instead of just having it like 03:51
really professional and sort of cold 03:53
just imagine you're inviting someone 03:57
into your own house and and you're 03:59
giving them a tour right it should be a 04:01
sort of a nice friendly atmosphere okay 04:04
so then the ending how are you going to 04:07
end the video you could say something 04:09
like well thank you so much for joining 04:12
me in today's tour if you have any 04:14
questions about this apartment you can 04:16
let me know right down there in the 04:18
comments hope you're having a wonderful 04:20
day I'll see you next time bye bye okay 04:21
so that's it 04:25
and reduc 04:26
descriptions transitions personal 04:27
opinions and the ending now here you can 04:29
see a root variety variety now this is 04:33
really important because when you're 04:36
giving a tour of a house or an apartment 04:38
you know sometimes you just end up 04:41
saying the same thing over and over 04:44
again right in your descriptions you 04:45
might say the word nice or the word 04:48
beautiful all the time or for the 04:50
transitions you know you want to have 04:52
some variety you don't just want to say 04:55
alright now let's go into the bedroom 04:57
alright now let's go to the living room 05:00
alright now let's go to the bathroom you 05:02
know you're saying the same thing over 05:05
and over again so it's good to have some 05:07
variety now I've posted a lot of sample 05:09
sentences for you down there in the 05:12
description so you're welcome to use 05:14
those in your own video or you can just 05:16
use those as sort of a guideline 05:19
and make up your own words and phrases 05:21
but I just want to make it as simple as 05:23
I can for you so just take a look at all 05:26
those sentences there's a lot of 05:28
examples in all of these areas right 05:29
some sample introductions sample 05:32
description sample transitions personal 05:34
opinions and ending well I hear a plane 05:37
flying over my apartment right now so I 05:41
think that's my cue to start the tour 05:44
all right 05:46
let's go welcome to this beautiful 05:47
apartment here in Chiang Mai Thailand 05:54
now this apartment costs nine thousand 05:57
baht per month which is roughly three 06:00
hundred US dollars per month and it 06:03
comes fully furnished okay so it's ready 06:06
to move in you don't need to buy 06:09
anything now as you can see the living 06:10
room is fairly large and it comes with a 06:13
nice sofa a white coffee table and white 06:17
dining table to match the bright tone of 06:21
this apartment now if you would like to 06:25
add some artwork to the walls too to 06:27
suit your taste you're more than welcome 06:31
to do that all right now the living room 06:34
is separated from the 06:36
bedroom by these beautiful sliding glass 06:38
doors and as you enter the bedroom the 06:40
first thing you'll notice is this huge 06:43
bedroom window which lets in a lot of 06:46
natural light you have a gorgeous view 06:49
of some lush green trees and tropical 06:51
type plants it's really a beautiful 06:55
place to live now if you want some 06:58
privacy or if you want to block the 07:01
light there are some nice thick drapes 07:03
here would you block the light 07:06
completely so it gets really nice and 07:07
dark now well the bed is a nice 07:10
king-size bed with a very comfortable 07:13
mattress so I'm sure you'll sleep deeply 07:16
every night here also the room has a 07:18
wardrobe which provides more than enough 07:21
space for all your clothing and other 07:23
personal belongings welcome to the 07:26
kitchen it's a very simple design but 07:29
it'll meet all your needs some nice 07:31
shelves here a microwave also some 07:34
shelves under here and a sink and a dish 07:36
rack dishes more than enough for you to 07:40
just move in like I said it's fully 07:44
furnished you can just come and you 07:46
don't have to buy anything and enjoy 07:47
your stay here in Chiangmai also a nice 07:49
modern fridge fridge and freezer to 07:52
store all your perishable foods now my 07:55
favorite part of this apartment is this 07:57
really cozy balcony it's it's so cute 08:00
just a personal sized balcony you can 08:03
have a chair out here if you want there 08:06
you have a washing machine which also 08:08
works as a dryer as well so or if you 08:11
want to air dry your clothes you can use 08:14
these hangers and hang them here on this 08:16
nice rack to dry now the big the cooking 08:19
is out here on the balcony you have a 08:22
little stove here to do your cooking 08:25
most apartments in Thailand don't have a 08:28
stove in the kitchen so we have this set 08:31
up here for you to do cooking and so you 08:35
can just enjoy the outdoors cooking 08:38
outdoors again the bathroom is very 08:40
simple and clean you have all the 08:42
essentials 08:45
a very nice shower a toilet 08:45
sinc well that's just been a quick look 08:49
at the other rooms in this apartment the 08:51
living room the bedroom the kitchen the 08:54
balcony and now the bathroom thank you 08:57
so much for joining me in this tour 09:00
today here in marks real estate company 09:02
we look forward to doing business with 09:05
you in the future if you have any 09:07
questions or comments leave them down 09:09
there below this video I'll see you guys 09:11
next time bye bye alright how did I do 09:14
did I do okay I probably didn't look 09:18
very professional maybe if you make a 09:21
video like that you should wear a nice 09:23
shirt and some nice pants but anyway I 09:25
just wanted to talk a little bit more 09:29
about the English that you could use in 09:30
your video now you might be wondering 09:34
what's the difference between a condo 09:36
and an apartment 09:38
well basically nothing you could you 09:40
could use whichever word you want okay 09:43
condo or apartment 09:45
now one thing you you might need to know 09:47
is the names of the rooms now for a 09:50
condo like this it's really simple right 09:53
there's just a living room bathroom a 09:56
kitchen a balcony and a bedroom but in a 09:59
house like if you're giving a tour of a 10:04
house back in Canada let's say you know 10:06
the house might have an entryway or it 10:09
might have a hallway might have a hall 10:12
with some rooms on the side it might 10:15
have a might have a basement or an attic 10:18
get the very top of the house that is 10:21
usually used for storage that's called 10:24
the Attic so yeah I could have different 10:26
different places like that also with the 10:29
furniture you'll remember that I use the 10:32
word wardrobe what's the difference 10:35
between a closet and a wardrobe well 10:37
usually when I think of a closet I think 10:40
of something that is built into the 10:43
house like back in Canada most of the 10:45
houses have closets it's like something 10:47
in the wall whereas here in Asia they 10:50
don't build closets into the walls 10:53
you have to buy you have to buy a piece 10:56
of furniture called a wardrobe okay so 10:58
it depends on you know like like if 11:02
you're giving this tour back in Canada 11:04
or in the u.s. you know the names of 11:06
furniture might be a little bit 11:09
different you know is it a sofa or a 11:11
coach you know you have to decide which 11:13
it probably doesn't really matter but 11:16
just those small things the names of 11:18
furniture the names of the rooms you 11:20
might just need to to look up 11:22
specifically what a certain thing is 11:25
called you know you should practice I 11:27
didn't really practice before I made 11:30
this video so I'm sure you could make a 11:32
better video than I did if you practice 11:34
a little bit and think you know about 11:37
what you want to say okay now let's talk 11:39
about descriptions what are some good 11:41
descriptive words you can use well the 11:44
word bright is really good bright or 11:47
well-lit and if you talk about natural 11:50
light that's always good people like 11:53
natural light you know a big window or 11:55
something like that also brand-new 11:58
you know maybe then maybe the apartment 12:00
is brand new 12:03
or maybe the floor is brand new or you 12:04
know maybe the the kitchen is newly 12:08
renovated okay so the word newly 12:10
renovated or brand new those are really 12:13
good words if it's true if it's not true 12:16
well then don't lie but if it is true 12:18
you should probably mention those things 12:22
now there are different words we can use 12:23
to describe the size of a room you could 12:26
say it's large or it's roomy or it's 12:28
spacious if it's small you could say 12:32
cute or cozy or simple you know like I 12:35
described the I described the kitchen 12:38
and the bathroom I think is simple now 12:40
in my opinion the word simple is a good 12:44
thing you know I like simple things if 12:47
something is too fancy I mean I don't 12:49
know it depends on the person what do 12:52
you think in your opinion is the word 12:54
simple a good thing or a bad thing 12:56
I don't know I like the word simple so 12:59
you can decide you could talk about 13:01
other things you could talk about like 13:03
the smell of the apartment you know you 13:04
could you could say that it has a lot of 13:07
fresh air actually I was gonna mention 13:09
that I was gonna say if you open the 13:11
window the 13:13
big bedroom window and open the balcony 13:14
there then there's lots of fresh air in 13:16
here so that's great so you might want 13:19
to talk about the air flow an apartment 13:21
has good air flow fresh air 13:23
maybe it's non-smoking you know maybe 13:26
there's never been any smokers in the 13:28
condo you know you could talk about 13:31
different conveniences that the condo 13:33
has does it have hot water you know not 13:36
every apartment in the world has hot 13:38
water so that's a good thing does the 13:40
apartment to have Wi-Fi that would be 13:43
good to know you know does it have 13:45
conveniences like Wi-Fi what about a 13:46
supermarket a grocery store is there is 13:50
there a place to go shopping near the 13:53
apartment you know if there's a if 13:55
there's a store nearby hey you should 13:57
you should talk about that people like 13:59
those kinds of conveniences you know 14:01
maybe the maybe there's a swimming pool 14:03
near the condo or maybe the condo 14:05
building has its own swimming pool you 14:07
know stuff like that would be would be 14:09
great to talk about you know you could 14:11
talk about other things like if if the 14:12
washing machine is eco-friendly or maybe 14:15
the fridge is eco-friendly 14:18
you know some people like those kinds of 14:20
things you know maybe the building has 14:22
24-hour security maybe you have some new 14:24
smart locks on the door key those kinds 14:28
of things you know especially if you 14:31
want to make a longer video like I would 14:33
say if it's going to be about ten 14:35
minutes or longer you know you might 14:36
want to add some more details like that 14:39
you know people like details especially 14:41
if you really want to get someone to 14:44
rent your condo long-term or you know if 14:46
you're working for a real estate company 14:51
and you want to sell a condo well if 14:52
someone's gonna buy a condo they want to 14:56
know about all those things so you can 14:58
decide if you want to make sort of a 15:00
just a brief video like I did just sort 15:01
of giving a brief tour or if you want to 15:05
make a more in-depth video you know that 15:08
would be great all right let's talk 15:10
about transitions now I think the two 15:12
words that you use the most in 15:15
transitions are alright and okay alright 15:18
let's move into this room okay 15:21
let's go here you know it's just those 15:23
are very common words I think it's okay 15:25
to you 15:27
but just like I said try try not to say 15:28
the same word too many times in the tour 15:30
okay so here are some transitions when 15:34
you enter the you'll notice the okay so 15:37
I've posted some some sample sentences 15:41
down there in the description if you 15:43
want to just copy and paste them or if 15:46
if you want to just think about them for 15:48
a little bit okay so when you enter the 15:51
the kitchen you'll notice the okay or 15:53
when you enter the the first thing 15:55
you'll notice is the okay now the first 15:58
thing you'll notice when you enter the 16:02
is the okay so all of these are sort of 16:04
the same but I just want to give you I 16:07
just want to give you some other ways of 16:10
saying the same thing now let's move 16:12
into the let's move into the bedroom 16:14
okay or next I'll show you the kitchen 16:16
next let's move into the living room 16:20
okay so those are some some sample 16:24
sentences there for transitions now what 16:27
about what about personal opinions you 16:29
know it's just nice to add something 16:32
personal just a to spice up your video a 16:33
little bit so you could say one thing 16:36
that's great about this apartment 16:39
is that it has lots of storage space 16:40
okay or the thing I like most about this 16:43
apartment is the nice view or I think 16:46
you'll enjoy the fresh air I think 16:51
you'll appreciate the new hardwood floor 16:56
okay or my favorite thing about this 16:59
apartment is the south-facing balcony 17:03
okay so those are some some ideas for 17:07
some personal opinions some different 17:10
sample sentences you know the grammar is 17:12
sometimes in English it's it's hard to 17:15
make it's hard to know you know what the 17:17
right grammar is if you change one part 17:20
of the sentence then sometimes the other 17:22
part needs to change too so these sent 17:24
these sentences are are correct you can 17:26
use them you can change them however you 17:29
want to do it's up to you but I just 17:31
want it to give you some options that 17:34
you can use okay so when it comes to the 17:35
introduction you know sometimes 17:38
sometimes the introduction 17:40
and the ending are the hardest even 17:42
though they're the simplest they're 17:44
there sometimes the hardest if you make 17:46
this video for the first time and I hope 17:48
some of you guys make a video like this 17:50
and post your link down in the comments 17:52
so that I can watch your video I'd love 17:55
to watch your video if you really make a 17:57
video like this I'll be the first to 18:00
give you a thumbs up okay so for the 18:02
introduction you know you could just say 18:05
something simple like welcome to mark's 18:07
real estate company in this video i'm 18:09
going to give you a tour of this 18:12
beautiful condo in calgary alberta right 18:14
just a really simple sentence like that 18:17
and for closing you could say alright 18:20
thank you so much for joining me in this 18:22
tour if you have any questions don't 18:24
hesitate to ask you can get in touch 18:26
with me in the comments or by email my 18:28
email is in the description something 18:32
like that you know just just keep it 18:34
simple and and yeah i hope that helps 18:35
you guys i hope that's that gives you 18:39
some some english you know sentences 18:41
structure that you can use if you make a 18:43
video like i said i would love it if you 18:45
guys make a video and and send me the 18:48
link so I can see so I can see how you 18:50
know how this is benefiting you I would 18:53
love that it makes a teacher happy when 18:55
a teacher can see you know the students 18:57
actually doing something and and seeing 18:59
you know how it turns out so I hope you 19:02
guys do that remember post the link down 19:04
in the comments and I hope you're having 19:06
a wonderful day thank you so much for 19:08
joining me in this episode of mad 19:10
English TV and I'll see you guys over in 19:12
the next episode of mad English TV take 19:15
care 19:18

[English]
welcome to my beautiful apartment here
in chiang mai thailand today i'm going
to teach you all the english you need to
give an apartment tour in english now
yesterday i told you how you could use
this idea to make money okay so if you
haven't seen that video I'll post it
right up here at the end of this video
giving an apartment tour is so easy you
just need to remember these five things
okay introduction descriptions
transitions personal opinions and the
ending so your introduction how are you
going to start the video well you could
say something simple like welcome to
this beautiful apartment here in Chiang
Mai Thailand today I'm going to give you
a tour of this apartment just something
easy like that okay and you're going to
need description you're gonna be
describing everything right okay what
does it look like you know you're gonna
be using words like cute and cozy you
know large beautiful those kind of
description words right that the
bathroom is cute or the kitchen is nice
and cozy it's it's not good to use the
word small when you're giving an
apartment tour the words cute and cozy
are much nicer they're sort of more
positive and more friendly than if you
if you describe something as small okay
also transitions okay what's a
transition well what are you going to
say when you move from one room to the
next room you're gonna say something
like this
alright now let's move into the kitchen
okay alright you're you're you're going
from one thing to another that's what
the word transition means okay also
you're going to give some personal
opinions let me ask you a question what
kind of mood do you want to have in your
video what kind of feeling do you want
your viewers to get do you want your
video to be sad
I hate this apartment it's it's not a
good apartment it's it's really small
you know if I were you I wouldn't live
here in this apartment it really sucks
no you don't want your video to be set
do you want your video to be funny well
probably not I mean you could make it
funny if you want but people probably
aren't you know wanting to watch a funny
video
what about professional do you want your
video to be professional yeah that would
probably be good and one of the problems
with being professional is sometimes
people are too serious today I'm going
to show you this apartment let's start
in the bedroom and move into the living
room and the kitchen you know it's just
it's a bit cold and you know a bit
impersonal okay so you want to make the
video personal you want it to be
professional and personal I would say
that's the best kind of feeling to have
so I think it's a great idea to give it
a sort of a personal touch
okay for example you could say I think
you're gonna love this kitchen or you
know my favorite thing about this condo
is this huge bedroom window which lets
in a lot of natural light you're sort of
giving your your personal feeling you
know what what you like or what you
think the other person is going to like
I think you're gonna love I think you're
gonna love this this king-sized bed
something like that right you're just
trying to make it a bit a bit more
personal instead of just having it like
really professional and sort of cold
just imagine you're inviting someone
into your own house and and you're
giving them a tour right it should be a
sort of a nice friendly atmosphere okay
so then the ending how are you going to
end the video you could say something
like well thank you so much for joining
me in today's tour if you have any
questions about this apartment you can
let me know right down there in the
comments hope you're having a wonderful
day I'll see you next time bye bye okay
so that's it
and reduc
descriptions transitions personal
opinions and the ending now here you can
see a root variety variety now this is
really important because when you're
giving a tour of a house or an apartment
you know sometimes you just end up
saying the same thing over and over
again right in your descriptions you
might say the word nice or the word
beautiful all the time or for the
transitions you know you want to have
some variety you don't just want to say
alright now let's go into the bedroom
alright now let's go to the living room
alright now let's go to the bathroom you
know you're saying the same thing over
and over again so it's good to have some
variety now I've posted a lot of sample
sentences for you down there in the
description so you're welcome to use
those in your own video or you can just
use those as sort of a guideline
and make up your own words and phrases
but I just want to make it as simple as
I can for you so just take a look at all
those sentences there's a lot of
examples in all of these areas right
some sample introductions sample
description sample transitions personal
opinions and ending well I hear a plane
flying over my apartment right now so I
think that's my cue to start the tour
all right
let's go welcome to this beautiful
apartment here in Chiang Mai Thailand
now this apartment costs nine thousand
baht per month which is roughly three
hundred US dollars per month and it
comes fully furnished okay so it's ready
to move in you don't need to buy
anything now as you can see the living
room is fairly large and it comes with a
nice sofa a white coffee table and white
dining table to match the bright tone of
this apartment now if you would like to
add some artwork to the walls too to
suit your taste you're more than welcome
to do that all right now the living room
is separated from the
bedroom by these beautiful sliding glass
doors and as you enter the bedroom the
first thing you'll notice is this huge
bedroom window which lets in a lot of
natural light you have a gorgeous view
of some lush green trees and tropical
type plants it's really a beautiful
place to live now if you want some
privacy or if you want to block the
light there are some nice thick drapes
here would you block the light
completely so it gets really nice and
dark now well the bed is a nice
king-size bed with a very comfortable
mattress so I'm sure you'll sleep deeply
every night here also the room has a
wardrobe which provides more than enough
space for all your clothing and other
personal belongings welcome to the
kitchen it's a very simple design but
it'll meet all your needs some nice
shelves here a microwave also some
shelves under here and a sink and a dish
rack dishes more than enough for you to
just move in like I said it's fully
furnished you can just come and you
don't have to buy anything and enjoy
your stay here in Chiangmai also a nice
modern fridge fridge and freezer to
store all your perishable foods now my
favorite part of this apartment is this
really cozy balcony it's it's so cute
just a personal sized balcony you can
have a chair out here if you want there
you have a washing machine which also
works as a dryer as well so or if you
want to air dry your clothes you can use
these hangers and hang them here on this
nice rack to dry now the big the cooking
is out here on the balcony you have a
little stove here to do your cooking
most apartments in Thailand don't have a
stove in the kitchen so we have this set
up here for you to do cooking and so you
can just enjoy the outdoors cooking
outdoors again the bathroom is very
simple and clean you have all the
essentials
a very nice shower a toilet
sinc well that's just been a quick look
at the other rooms in this apartment the
living room the bedroom the kitchen the
balcony and now the bathroom thank you
so much for joining me in this tour
today here in marks real estate company
we look forward to doing business with
you in the future if you have any
questions or comments leave them down
there below this video I'll see you guys
next time bye bye alright how did I do
did I do okay I probably didn't look
very professional maybe if you make a
video like that you should wear a nice
shirt and some nice pants but anyway I
just wanted to talk a little bit more
about the English that you could use in
your video now you might be wondering
what's the difference between a condo
and an apartment
well basically nothing you could you
could use whichever word you want okay
condo or apartment
now one thing you you might need to know
is the names of the rooms now for a
condo like this it's really simple right
there's just a living room bathroom a
kitchen a balcony and a bedroom but in a
house like if you're giving a tour of a
house back in Canada let's say you know
the house might have an entryway or it
might have a hallway might have a hall
with some rooms on the side it might
have a might have a basement or an attic
get the very top of the house that is
usually used for storage that's called
the Attic so yeah I could have different
different places like that also with the
furniture you'll remember that I use the
word wardrobe what's the difference
between a closet and a wardrobe well
usually when I think of a closet I think
of something that is built into the
house like back in Canada most of the
houses have closets it's like something
in the wall whereas here in Asia they
don't build closets into the walls
you have to buy you have to buy a piece
of furniture called a wardrobe okay so
it depends on you know like like if
you're giving this tour back in Canada
or in the u.s. you know the names of
furniture might be a little bit
different you know is it a sofa or a
coach you know you have to decide which
it probably doesn't really matter but
just those small things the names of
furniture the names of the rooms you
might just need to to look up
specifically what a certain thing is
called you know you should practice I
didn't really practice before I made
this video so I'm sure you could make a
better video than I did if you practice
a little bit and think you know about
what you want to say okay now let's talk
about descriptions what are some good
descriptive words you can use well the
word bright is really good bright or
well-lit and if you talk about natural
light that's always good people like
natural light you know a big window or
something like that also brand-new
you know maybe then maybe the apartment
is brand new
or maybe the floor is brand new or you
know maybe the the kitchen is newly
renovated okay so the word newly
renovated or brand new those are really
good words if it's true if it's not true
well then don't lie but if it is true
you should probably mention those things
now there are different words we can use
to describe the size of a room you could
say it's large or it's roomy or it's
spacious if it's small you could say
cute or cozy or simple you know like I
described the I described the kitchen
and the bathroom I think is simple now
in my opinion the word simple is a good
thing you know I like simple things if
something is too fancy I mean I don't
know it depends on the person what do
you think in your opinion is the word
simple a good thing or a bad thing
I don't know I like the word simple so
you can decide you could talk about
other things you could talk about like
the smell of the apartment you know you
could you could say that it has a lot of
fresh air actually I was gonna mention
that I was gonna say if you open the
window the
big bedroom window and open the balcony
there then there's lots of fresh air in
here so that's great so you might want
to talk about the air flow an apartment
has good air flow fresh air
maybe it's non-smoking you know maybe
there's never been any smokers in the
condo you know you could talk about
different conveniences that the condo
has does it have hot water you know not
every apartment in the world has hot
water so that's a good thing does the
apartment to have Wi-Fi that would be
good to know you know does it have
conveniences like Wi-Fi what about a
supermarket a grocery store is there is
there a place to go shopping near the
apartment you know if there's a if
there's a store nearby hey you should
you should talk about that people like
those kinds of conveniences you know
maybe the maybe there's a swimming pool
near the condo or maybe the condo
building has its own swimming pool you
know stuff like that would be would be
great to talk about you know you could
talk about other things like if if the
washing machine is eco-friendly or maybe
the fridge is eco-friendly
you know some people like those kinds of
things you know maybe the building has
24-hour security maybe you have some new
smart locks on the door key those kinds
of things you know especially if you
want to make a longer video like I would
say if it's going to be about ten
minutes or longer you know you might
want to add some more details like that
you know people like details especially
if you really want to get someone to
rent your condo long-term or you know if
you're working for a real estate company
and you want to sell a condo well if
someone's gonna buy a condo they want to
know about all those things so you can
decide if you want to make sort of a
just a brief video like I did just sort
of giving a brief tour or if you want to
make a more in-depth video you know that
would be great all right let's talk
about transitions now I think the two
words that you use the most in
transitions are alright and okay alright
let's move into this room okay
let's go here you know it's just those
are very common words I think it's okay
to you
but just like I said try try not to say
the same word too many times in the tour
okay so here are some transitions when
you enter the you'll notice the okay so
I've posted some some sample sentences
down there in the description if you
want to just copy and paste them or if
if you want to just think about them for
a little bit okay so when you enter the
the kitchen you'll notice the okay or
when you enter the the first thing
you'll notice is the okay now the first
thing you'll notice when you enter the
is the okay so all of these are sort of
the same but I just want to give you I
just want to give you some other ways of
saying the same thing now let's move
into the let's move into the bedroom
okay or next I'll show you the kitchen
next let's move into the living room
okay so those are some some sample
sentences there for transitions now what
about what about personal opinions you
know it's just nice to add something
personal just a to spice up your video a
little bit so you could say one thing
that's great about this apartment
is that it has lots of storage space
okay or the thing I like most about this
apartment is the nice view or I think
you'll enjoy the fresh air I think
you'll appreciate the new hardwood floor
okay or my favorite thing about this
apartment is the south-facing balcony
okay so those are some some ideas for
some personal opinions some different
sample sentences you know the grammar is
sometimes in English it's it's hard to
make it's hard to know you know what the
right grammar is if you change one part
of the sentence then sometimes the other
part needs to change too so these sent
these sentences are are correct you can
use them you can change them however you
want to do it's up to you but I just
want it to give you some options that
you can use okay so when it comes to the
introduction you know sometimes
sometimes the introduction
and the ending are the hardest even
though they're the simplest they're
there sometimes the hardest if you make
this video for the first time and I hope
some of you guys make a video like this
and post your link down in the comments
so that I can watch your video I'd love
to watch your video if you really make a
video like this I'll be the first to
give you a thumbs up okay so for the
introduction you know you could just say
something simple like welcome to mark's
real estate company in this video i'm
going to give you a tour of this
beautiful condo in calgary alberta right
just a really simple sentence like that
and for closing you could say alright
thank you so much for joining me in this
tour if you have any questions don't
hesitate to ask you can get in touch
with me in the comments or by email my
email is in the description something
like that you know just just keep it
simple and and yeah i hope that helps
you guys i hope that's that gives you
some some english you know sentences
structure that you can use if you make a
video like i said i would love it if you
guys make a video and and send me the
link so I can see so I can see how you
know how this is benefiting you I would
love that it makes a teacher happy when
a teacher can see you know the students
actually doing something and and seeing
you know how it turns out so I hope you
guys do that remember post the link down
in the comments and I hope you're having
a wonderful day thank you so much for
joining me in this episode of mad
English TV and I'll see you guys over in
the next episode of mad English TV take
