Hi guys, it's Sid and welcome back. 00:00
It is currently 8:37 on a Saturday night 00:09
and I am having the best Saturday night 00:12
doing what I do best, scrolling on 00:14
Pinterest. You guys might think I'm 00:16
joking right now, but like this is 00:18
actually true. I've been specifically 00:19
saving a lot of things to my outfits 00:21
board. So, I thought why not film a 00:23
video of me trying to thrift the outfits 00:24
that I pinned. What often happens I 00:28
realize [clears throat] is I just save a 00:29
lot of the same thing. Like you can find 00:31
consistent themes throughout my board. 00:33
One of them being clearly a lot of 00:35
layering. I love layering and for some 00:38
reason I don't ever put in the efforts 00:40
to do it. So, I'm thinking getting some 00:42
long sleeve basics of things that I 00:44
could easily layer. I've also been 00:46
saving a ton of fall jackets. I love 00:48

kind of more beige color as well. 00:53
Jackets for me are hit or miss, so we'll 00:55
see if we'll see how that goes. Speaking 00:58
of layering, one thing I've noticed a 01:00
lot of that I've been saving are tops 01:01
layered [music] over lace bralettes. I 01:03
love a good lace bralette. And the 01:06
problem is not the fact that I don't 01:07
need a lace bralette, but what I need is 01:09
something that I could layer over where 01:11
you can see underneath. Like a tank or 01:12
this button down tee, something where I 01:15
can style it nicely. I also really want 01:17
to see if they have any skirts. I really 01:19
like these ones. I wear the same mini 01:21
skirt that I have all the time and it's 01:23
getting a little redundant. In terms of 01:25
bags, I notice I'm saving a lot of stuff 01:27
that has some texture. Either suede, 01:30
which is pretty basic, [music] but so 01:32
beautiful. also really having liking 01:33
this weave pattern. Obviously Bottega's 01:36
known for that, but I also really love 01:38
these going out tops. There's so many 01:40
that are really cute, but it's just 01:42
something that I actually need. [music] 01:44
I feel like I have the same two tops 01:46
that I wear when I go out. I think I'll 01:48
know it when I see it type [music] 01:50
thing. And then I don't know, that's 01:51
kind of what I have saved at the moment. 01:52
It's so interesting when you take a look 01:54
at your Pinterest board from afar 01:56
[music] because often you do notice 01:57
these overall themes of things that 01:59
you're saving that you don't even 02:02
realize you're doing it. And I just want 02:03
to see what I can find second hand at 02:05
like a thrift store or vintage store. 02:06
So, I have the list of things that I 02:08
need or at least that I'm looking for 02:10
and I'm going to head to a couple of the 02:12
stores 02:14
>> [music] 02:14
>> tomorrow morning and I'll see you in the 02:15
morning. 02:16
>> [music] 02:22
[music] 02:28
>> Okay, I made it to Brooklyn. My first 02:31
stop is this place called L Train 02:33
Vintage and for some reason I can't 02:35
remember if I've been here. I think I 02:37
have. I'm also sort of regretting this 02:39
haircut because it's so short. Why did I 02:41
cut it this short? I don't know. I was 02:44
impulsive. 02:46
>> [music] 02:48
[music] 02:52
>> Okay, we really started from the bottom 02:53
here because this thrift store ended up 02:54
being a fail. I got nothing. For a 02:56
second I actually was interested in this 02:58
jacket, but then I realized there was a 03:00
giant hole in the arm. Special shoutout 03:02
though to the Minnesota Twins. I knew I 03:04
didn't want to buy anything just to buy 03:06
something. So, I guess it can only go up 03:08
from here. Okay, to be honest so far no 03:10
good. I do want to stick to my promise 03:13
to myself. I'm not going to like buy 03:16
something just to buy it. We're going to 03:17
keep going. Stay optimistic. I'm at this 03:19
place called Awoke Vintage in Brooklyn. 03:21
One of you guys came up to me actually 03:24
in the previous store. I was asking her 03:25
about this place and she said it was 03:27
pretty good, but it is a little bit more 03:28
expensive [music] cuz it's more of a 03:30
vintage store than a thrift store. We'll 03:31
see. I have no idea what to expect, 03:33
[music] but yes, before you ask I did 03:34
find this place on TikTok. 03:36
And I have no shame. 03:39
>> [music] 03:42
>> So, thank [music] goodness I didn't give 03:46
up because this is where I started to 03:48
see the light, okay? I will take a 03:50
TikTok rack very seriously, and I'm glad 03:52
I did because there were several people 03:54
who posted about this vintage shop on 03:56
there. I do have to say though, this is 03:58
more of a vintage store. The prices just 04:00
aren't [music] as cheap as a traditional 04:02
thrift store, but I was still excited to 04:03
see some cool second-hand things 04:05
starting with this Ralph Lauren jacket. 04:07
It really wasn't the fall theme jacket 04:09
that I was looking for, but it was also 04:11
a kid size. It was like an extra large 04:13
size in kids, so it kind of just like 04:15
fit me weird. I also tried on this 04:17
leather jacket which again, I don't 04:19
know. I couldn't put my finger on it, 04:21
but jackets are just like always tough 04:22
for me. And then I started to get a 04:23
little discouraged because I tried on 04:25
another shirt, and I wanted it to fit 04:27
tighter than it did. Passed on that. 04:29
Also didn't like this shirt, but this is 04:31
where things turned around. This shirt, 04:34
I think is the coolest shirt I've ever 04:36
thrifted. I love the sewn collar. I love 04:38
the flowers. I love everything about 04:40
[music] this, and it was only $35, which 04:42
I don't know if I should be saying only 04:44
35. Also found this jean skirt, which I 04:46
thought fit me pretty well. 04:49
Suddenly my spirits are lifted. I had a 04:54
much higher rate of success there. 04:57
Although it was more expensive, I think 04:59
it was worth it. I really love what I 05:01
got, and honestly like I recommend that 05:03
store. If you guys are ever in the area, 05:05
it was worth all of the hype and more. 05:07
>> [music] 05:13
>> I got hungry and thirsty, so I went to 05:15
Partners. It is uncomfortably [music] 05:19
quiet in here, but that doesn't stop me 05:21
from doing my favorite thing ever, 05:23
filming in public. I've been really in 05:25
my [music] black iced tea lemonade 05:27
Arnold Palmer era. I hate saying that 05:29
word. It's just so good and refreshing 05:32
like midday, so got one of those. I'm 05:34
also really hungry, and the kitchen was 05:37
closing in 3 minutes, so I felt very 05:39
pressured, and I asked the barista what 05:41
she recommended, and she recommended the 05:43
breakfast sandwich. And it comes with a 05:45
little cup of fruit. It's honestly a 05:47
little sad. There's like barely anything 05:49
in there. This channel slowly day by 05:50
day, week by week turns into a food 05:53
review channel and I don't really know 05:55
how I feel about that. 05:56
I can't tell if I'm just really hungry 06:00
or if it's a really good breakfast 06:02
sandwich. I'm feeling a lot better now 06:03
that I've had some success. I'm going to 06:05
revisit my Pinterest boards, remember 06:07
why I'm out here. Like this is serious. 06:09
This is serious work. I stopped at one 06:11
more vintage shop, Bedford Vintage. I 06:14
couldn't resist because again, TikTok 06:16
drew me in. This is like the same old 06:19
story, but they had really cool like 06:21
mesh detailed tops. And this one, when I 06:23
saw it immediately, I ran to the fitting 06:26
room with it. I love the wide neckline 06:29
and I also just love the pattern. This 06:31
was sort of what I was envisioning for a 06:33
going out just dinner top. It was $50. 06:35
So I knew I had to go to an actual 06:38
thrift store with thrift store prices 06:39
and I walked into Buffalo Exchange. Saw 06:41
this bag which I thought really fit 06:43
exactly what I was looking for in terms 06:45
of the woven style. They also had quite 06:47
a few long sleeves which I thought were 06:49
potentially nice for layering. Now don't 06:50
be fooled because this top threw me for 06:52
a loop at first and I thought this was 06:54
never going to happen, but I had a 06:56
little patience and persistence. I sort 06:58
of like tucked it in and I thought, 07:00
wait, this could actually work. Um I 07:02
love making this whole thing dramatic. 07:04
Anyways, then I went and I saw this 07:06
jacket. So basically, this was a massive 07:08
success. Shoutout Buffalo Exchange. Okay 07:11
guys, I'm back. Not to brag, but I do 07:13
think we did really well. And since the 07:16
second I got home, the only thing I can 07:18
think about is putting these outfits 07:20
together. Sometimes if I buy new pieces 07:22
and I don't spend the time putting 07:25
together outfits, I don't really know 07:26
how like what to wear stuff with. So 07:28
[music] I want to take a second, put 07:29
some outfits together based on 07:31
everything that I just got. Of course 07:33
using my style board as kind of a 07:35
reference. The art of styling is 07:37
definitely a skill. I used to be quite 07:39
bad at this. 07:41
And that makes it sound like I'm now 07:43
good at it. I wouldn't say that, but 07:44
I've definitely improved. And I think 07:47
more The more you style, the more you 07:49
kind of know and figure out what you 07:51
like and what you don't like. And it's 07:52
going to be kind of like a little mini 07:54
haul, cuz I'm going to show you guys 07:55
everything that I bought. First thing 07:56
I'm going to style is this long-sleeve 07:58
black top. Now, this was something you 08:00
guys know I almost didn't get because 08:03
when I first put it on my body, it 08:05
swallowed me. 08:07
That sounds weird. Okay. I did give it a 08:08
second chance. Once I sort of played 08:10
around with this and tucked it in, fixed 08:13
the sleeves, [music] 08:15
I thought this could be really cool to 08:16
layer like so. Since I've been really 08:19
loving a lot of layered pieces on 08:21
Pinterest, I thought this would be 08:22
perfect to do it with. This is the base 08:24
that we have. I'm thinking 08:27
jeans. Okay, jeans were definitely the 08:30
move. I threw on these Levi's that I 08:32
really love. Something I love that is 08:34
just such a classic easy thing to do is 08:37
throw on heels with jeans. And these 08:39
heels, I think will go so perfectly with 08:41
this top, right? I can't tell if I want 08:44
to do a belt with this. I actually don't 08:45
know how much I like the belt with this. 08:48
I think I kind of want to just keep it 08:49
really dressed [music] 08:50
down without it. Okay, so scratch the 08:52
belt. The secret to a good baggy tee, in 08:54
my opinion, is really figuring out the 08:57
art of tucking it properly. Sometimes 08:59
I'll just like stick it in the bottom of 09:02
my bra. I feel like I just always have 09:04
to play around with it a little bit 09:06
until it sits just right. Finishing it 09:08
off with this beautiful new bag that I 09:11
just got. Don't be fooled though, I did 09:14
not buy this. I'm trying out this thing 09:16
where I rent bags from It's called 09:18
Vivrelle. Okay, finishing touch, some 09:20
sunglasses. I just found these in the 09:22
bottom of my drawer. I don't even know 09:25
where I got them, but this is the final 09:26
look. 09:28
>> [music] 09:31
>> Okay, next thing I got that I want to 09:37
style is this top. This is from the 09:38
brand Vince. It was $20. This is one of 09:40
those pieces that I liked it 10 times 09:43
better once I put it on. Sometimes it's 09:45
opposite. Sometimes something looks good 09:47
and then I put it on and it's worse. 09:49
[music] It's super simple, very similar 09:50
to a lot of like the button-downs that I 09:52
had pinned on my board. I'm thinking 09:54
it'd be cool to wear this unbuttoned a 09:56
little bit and put like a lace bralette 09:57
under for some detail. This is 10:00
definitely making the whole outfit a 10:02
little bit sexier, but I kind of like 10:04
it. You guys know I just I love a good 10:06
lace bralette, especially recently, as 10:08
you guys know. Since I'm wearing the 10:11
black, I want to sort of bring out the 10:12
black a little bit more with some pants. 10:13
>> [music] 10:16
>> These low-rise pants from Reformation 10:16
are perfect with this. I'm going to try 10:18
these black flats with this. I got these 10:20
from Quince a while ago. Okay, I know 10:22
I'm going to get roasted in the 10:24
comments. People hate when I don't wear 10:25
color. 10:26
And I don't blame them. I've been really 10:28
trying. I love a good simple outfit. I 10:30
have this little clutch. It's actually 10:33
supposed to be a makeup bag, but I kind 10:34
of like it as my little clutch purse 10:37
going out. 10:39
>> [music] 10:45
>> I don't know how I almost forgot to show 10:48
you guys this jacket that I picked up. 10:49
This was the last thing that I saw as I 10:52
was leaving the thrift store. Obviously, 10:54
you know I really wanted a nice fall 10:56
jacket and this I thought was perfect. 10:58
It's actually a men's jacket, which 11:01
sometimes they look better on. It's the 11:04
perfect color that I was looking for, 11:05
sort of this like cream beige. It has 11:07
this sort of [music] snakeskin crocodile 11:10
print to it. I think it'll go with so 11:12
much stuff, like even with what I'm 11:13
wearing right now, it's perfect. 11:15
>> [music] 11:18
>> My favorite thing that I got is 11:22
something that I didn't even really plan 11:24
to get or it wasn't on my Pinterest 11:26
board. I know it kind of defeats Does it 11:28
defeat the purpose of the video? I don't 11:30
know. I loved the color. You can kind of 11:31
see it has like a little bit of 11:33
stitching right here and it has some 11:34
more color. It's more fun. Trying to 11:36
spice things up, add a little bit more 11:38
color to my wardrobe even though there's 11:40
literally five singular red flowers on 11:41
it. No idea how I'm going to style this. 11:44
So, let's do that right now. I don't 11:46
think even if I tried I could put into 11:48
words how much I love this top. It's 11:50
just so cool. It was also $35 which I 11:53
was pretty happy about considering it's 11:57
a from a vintage store. I decided to put 11:58
some really casual jeans on. These are 12:00
my go-to pair. I wear these like every 12:02
day. They're from Abercrombie. I liked 12:04
this little brown vintage Coach bag with 12:06
it and then I think I'm going to try it 12:08
with these little brown heeled 12:09
flip-flops. 12:11
Somehow I almost forgot that I also got 12:21
this jean skirt. This 12:22
I don't regret it. Regret's a strong 12:25
word, but it was pretty expensive, okay? 12:27
I think it was like $59. 12:30
So, this is like not a thrifted skirt, 12:33
but it is a really good just simple 12:35
classic staple piece that I honestly 12:37
probably I'm going to wear really often. 12:39
I do almost like it with this top. This 12:42
could even be an outfit in itself. Um I 12:43
think I lied to you guys. I think this 12:47
top might actually be my favorite. This 12:49
is just like the most flattering 12:51
silhouette of a top. I love the neckline 12:53
on this. I love the little floral 12:55
pattern. It just gives a little bit of 12:57
character and I've been trying to find 12:59
more tops that are nice for going out 13:01
that aren't just like plain. It was 50 13:03
bucks. So, I'm not going to say it was a 13:06
steal. I just paired this with some 13:08
black slacks again, the same ones as 13:10
earlier, and then some little black 13:11
heeled booties. And then to finish it 13:13
off, the only bag that I got thrifting 13:15
was this one. This was $16. I just 13:17
really liked it. I was immediately drawn 13:20
to this when I saw it on the rack and I 13:22
just realized that this goes really well 13:24
with this top because you can see there 13:27
is some of this exact shade of green in 13:29
the top. I would say this is my ideal 13:31
going out outfit. 13:33
Okay, guys, that is everything that I 13:39
got. I think this was a massive success. 13:41
I feel like I really stuck to my boards. 13:44
I got a lot of good staple pieces that I 13:46
think I'll make a ton of use out of. Let 13:48
me know if you guys like these videos. I 13:50
love making them. Love you guys. Thanks 13:51
for watching and I'll see you in my next 13:54
video. Bye. 13:56

Hi guys, it's Sid and welcome back.

[music] this, and it was only $35, which
I don't know if I should be saying only
35. Also found this jean skirt, which I
thought fit me pretty well.
Suddenly my spirits are lifted. I had a
much higher rate of success there.
Although it was more expensive, I think
it was worth it. I really love what I
got, and honestly like I recommend that
store. If you guys are ever in the area,
it was worth all of the hype and more.
>> [music]
>> I got hungry and thirsty, so I went to
Partners. It is uncomfortably [music]
quiet in here, but that doesn't stop me
from doing my favorite thing ever,
filming in public. I've been really in
my [music] black iced tea lemonade
Arnold Palmer era. I hate saying that
word. It's just so good and refreshing
like midday, so got one of those. I'm
also really hungry, and the kitchen was
closing in 3 minutes, so I felt very
pressured, and I asked the barista what
she recommended, and she recommended the
breakfast sandwich. And it comes with a
little cup of fruit. It's honestly a
little sad. There's like barely anything
in there. This channel slowly day by
day, week by week turns into a food
review channel and I don't really know
how I feel about that.
I can't tell if I'm just really hungry
or if it's a really good breakfast
sandwich. I'm feeling a lot better now
that I've had some success. I'm going to
revisit my Pinterest boards, remember
why I'm out here. Like this is serious.
This is serious work. I stopped at one
more vintage shop, Bedford Vintage. I
couldn't resist because again, TikTok
drew me in. This is like the same old
story, but they had really cool like
mesh detailed tops. And this one, when I
saw it immediately, I ran to the fitting
room with it. I love the wide neckline
and I also just love the pattern. This
was sort of what I was envisioning for a
going out just dinner top. It was $50.
So I knew I had to go to an actual
thrift store with thrift store prices
and I walked into Buffalo Exchange. Saw
this bag which I thought really fit
exactly what I was looking for in terms
of the woven style. They also had quite
a few long sleeves which I thought were
potentially nice for layering. Now don't
be fooled because this top threw me for
a loop at first and I thought this was
never going to happen, but I had a
little patience and persistence. I sort
of like tucked it in and I thought,
wait, this could actually work. Um I
love making this whole thing dramatic.
Anyways, then I went and I saw this
jacket. So basically, this was a massive
success. Shoutout Buffalo Exchange. Okay
guys, I'm back. Not to brag, but I do
think we did really well. And since the
second I got home, the only thing I can
think about is putting these outfits
together. Sometimes if I buy new pieces
and I don't spend the time putting
together outfits, I don't really know
how like what to wear stuff with. So
[music] I want to take a second, put
some outfits together based on
everything that I just got. Of course
using my style board as kind of a
reference. The art of styling is
definitely a skill. I used to be quite
bad at this.
And that makes it sound like I'm now
good at it. I wouldn't say that, but
I've definitely improved. And I think
more The more you style, the more you
kind of know and figure out what you
like and what you don't like. And it's
going to be kind of like a little mini
haul, cuz I'm going to show you guys
everything that I bought. First thing
I'm going to style is this long-sleeve
black top. Now, this was something you
guys know I almost didn't get because
when I first put it on my body, it
swallowed me.
That sounds weird. Okay. I did give it a
second chance. Once I sort of played
around with this and tucked it in, fixed
the sleeves, [music]
I thought this could be really cool to
layer like so. Since I've been really
loving a lot of layered pieces on
Pinterest, I thought this would be
perfect to do it with. This is the base
that we have. I'm thinking
jeans. Okay, jeans were definitely the
move. I threw on these Levi's that I
really love. Something I love that is
just such a classic easy thing to do is
throw on heels with jeans. And these
heels, I think will go so perfectly with
this top, right? I can't tell if I want
to do a belt with this. I actually don't
know how much I like the belt with this.
I think I kind of want to just keep it
really dressed [music]
down without it. Okay, so scratch the
belt. The secret to a good baggy tee, in
my opinion, is really figuring out the
art of tucking it properly. Sometimes
I'll just like stick it in the bottom of
my bra. I feel like I just always have
to play around with it a little bit
until it sits just right. Finishing it
off with this beautiful new bag that I
just got. Don't be fooled though, I did
not buy this. I'm trying out this thing
where I rent bags from It's called
Vivrelle. Okay, finishing touch, some
sunglasses. I just found these in the
bottom of my drawer. I don't even know
where I got them, but this is the final
look.
>> [music]
>> Okay, next thing I got that I want to
style is this top. This is from the
brand Vince. It was $20. This is one of
those pieces that I liked it 10 times
better once I put it on. Sometimes it's
opposite. Sometimes something looks good
and then I put it on and it's worse.
[music] It's super simple, very similar
to a lot of like the button-downs that I
had pinned on my board. I'm thinking
it'd be cool to wear this unbuttoned a
little bit and put like a lace bralette
under for some detail. This is
definitely making the whole outfit a
little bit sexier, but I kind of like
it. You guys know I just I love a good
lace bralette, especially recently, as
you guys know. Since I'm wearing the
black, I want to sort of bring out the
black a little bit more with some pants.
>> [music]
>> These low-rise pants from Reformation
are perfect with this. I'm going to try
these black flats with this. I got these
from Quince a while ago. Okay, I know
I'm going to get roasted in the
comments. People hate when I don't wear
color.
And I don't blame them. I've been really
trying. I love a good simple outfit. I
have this little clutch. It's actually
supposed to be a makeup bag, but I kind
of like it as my little clutch purse
going out.
>> [music]
>> I don't know how I almost forgot to show
you guys this jacket that I picked up.
This was the last thing that I saw as I
was leaving the thrift store. Obviously,
you know I really wanted a nice fall
jacket and this I thought was perfect.
It's actually a men's jacket, which
sometimes they look better on. It's the
perfect color that I was looking for,
sort of this like cream beige. It has
this sort of [music] snakeskin crocodile
print to it. I think it'll go with so
much stuff, like even with what I'm
wearing right now, it's perfect.
>> [music]
>> My favorite thing that I got is
something that I didn't even really plan
to get or it wasn't on my Pinterest
board. I know it kind of defeats Does it
defeat the purpose of the video? I don't
know. I loved the color. You can kind of
see it has like a little bit of
stitching right here and it has some
more color. It's more fun. Trying to
spice things up, add a little bit more
color to my wardrobe even though there's
literally five singular red flowers on
it. No idea how I'm going to style this.
So, let's do that right now. I don't
think even if I tried I could put into
words how much I love this top. It's
just so cool. It was also $35 which I
was pretty happy about considering it's
a from a vintage store. I decided to put
some really casual jeans on. These are
my go-to pair. I wear these like every
day. They're from Abercrombie. I liked
this little brown vintage Coach bag with
it and then I think I'm going to try it
with these little brown heeled
flip-flops.
Somehow I almost forgot that I also got
this jean skirt. This
I don't regret it. Regret's a strong
word, but it was pretty expensive, okay?
I think it was like $59.
So, this is like not a thrifted skirt,
but it is a really good just simple
classic staple piece that I honestly
probably I'm going to wear really often.
I do almost like it with this top. This
could even be an outfit in itself. Um I
think I lied to you guys. I think this
top might actually be my favorite. This
is just like the most flattering
silhouette of a top. I love the neckline
on this. I love the little floral
pattern. It just gives a little bit of
character and I've been trying to find
more tops that are nice for going out
that aren't just like plain. It was 50
bucks. So, I'm not going to say it was a
steal. I just paired this with some
black slacks again, the same ones as
earlier, and then some little black
heeled booties. And then to finish it
off, the only bag that I got thrifting
was this one. This was $16. I just
really liked it. I was immediately drawn
to this when I saw it on the rack and I
just realized that this goes really well
with this top because you can see there
is some of this exact shade of green in
the top. I would say this is my ideal
going out outfit.
Okay, guys, that is everything that I
got. I think this was a massive success.
I feel like I really stuck to my boards.
I got a lot of good staple pieces that I
think I'll make a ton of use out of. Let
me know if you guys like these videos. I
love making them. Love you guys. Thanks
for watching and I'll see you in my next
video. Bye.
