when I joined the company we were like 00:00
50 million in Revenue when I left we 00:02
were about 1.2 billion 8.7 million your 00:04
house is so sick would you be able to 00:07
show this one just sold for 14 million 00:09
how much does this kind of house go for 00:12
career 15 million 15 million yeah today 00:13
we are in Newport Beach California one 00:17
of the most expensive cities to live in 00:18
in the world the houses that we're going 00:19
to check out today are between 15 and 00:21
$20 million we're going to go up to 00:22
locals knock on some doors and find out 00:24
what do people do for living and get 00:26
advice for people like you and me 00:27

minutes to chat what kind of things did 00:35
you guys do for a living yeah no we're 00:36
not interested in disclosing any 00:38
information thank you so much all right 00:40
you have a great day thank you 8.7 00:42
million let's 00:45

just unbelievable so we just want to 01:03
come compliment you and say hello oh 01:04

or we we were in the strawberry business 01:08
no way really yeah we were strawberries 01:10
and vegetables and so cool sold that and 01:12
then kind of fell into the uh wine 01:15
business so where we have several 01:18
Vineyards up north and so we kind of 01:19
second career how did you guys get into 01:22
the strawberry business well my husband 01:23
was in Future Farmers of America in high 01:25
school he had a strawberry project in 01:28
high school where he planted 01:30
strawberries he had a stand on test 01:31
Avenue in Orange where he St all his 01:34
stuff so that's kind of where it started 01:35
H but how do you go from selling 01:38
strawberries on the street in Tustin to 01:39
you know these these very nice houses we 01:41
started a processing business so we not 01:43
only had the fresh strawberries but then 01:45
we process them for freezer you know 01:46
like for margarita drinks and you know 01:49
like you buy them in the freezer bag you 01:52
know all that kind of stuff and just 01:55
kind of grew the business for 3 01:58
years and sold it and that's when we 02:00
bought this a lot of our audience is 02:04
trying to just learn what what to do 02:05
with their careers so yeah you know we 02:06
go to different areas that have nice 02:08
houses and we're like what you know see 02:09
if people will chat with us about it be 02:11
an honest business person you know 02:12
always tell the truth don't try and Bs 02:15
people know what's really important in 02:17
life you know it's your family it's your 02:19
faith you know those are your core 02:21
values you know if you're 02:24
successful you got to give back we see 02:26
the view from down here or it's like you 02:29
didn't come I got my dogs upstairs okay 02:31
wow this is Jam this is amazing yeah 02:36
come on 02:39
out thank you so much yeah so we have a 02:40
big deck downstairs and a big downstairs 02:43
area with bedrooms and a big you know 02:45
kind of party room downstairs wow yeah 02:47
and then it has steps that go down to 02:50
the beach during the summer it's 02:51
jam-packed with people this time of year 02:53
of course you know there's nobody I mean 02:55
this is still great now a big parking 02:57
lot down there in the Sun summer you 02:58
know that's all jam-packed with people 03:00
you know that are at the beach or you 03:01
can you know Park up on Ocean and you 03:03
can walk down this walkway and come down 03:05
to the beach what what do the other 03:07
people do to be able to afford these 03:09
kind of places just business owners in 03:10
different kind of vertical a little bit 03:13
of everything you know it's a pretty 03:15
amazing spot it really it really is very 03:17
lucky very blessed we are we thank the 03:19
Lord every day your house is so sick oh 03:23
thanks did you guys like custom build 03:25
this oh yeah my dad's the arch is he 03:26
really yeah can you uh we have we're 03:29
doing a documentary about Newport and 03:31
what it's like to live here hello buddy 03:32
yeah and this house is just amazing can 03:33
you tell us about the house I can have 03:35
them come out um he just said knee 03:36
surgery so he's not feeling that good 03:39
dude even UT talkn is cool let me see if 03:40
let me see if come he can explain the 03:43
whole dude awesome hello sir here dude 03:44
what an amazing house man what are you 03:48
guys doing just enjoy Newport Beach and 03:50
the great people out here film crew from 03:51
where Texas Austin Texas a lot of the 03:53
videos we we produce it's more around 03:55
like people on their entrepreneurial 03:57
Journey mine you should be interviewing 03:58
this guy this guy is the amazing one the 04:01
house we'd love to hear about this is so 04:02
cool give him the vision what you got is 04:04
it possible to do a tour would you would 04:06
you be able to show it's going to be 04:08
messy and so you built this yeah yeah 04:09
it's a disaster come on Wow M dud the 04:12
art is 04:16
cool right 04:17
now 04:20
wow you still an architect you still I'm 04:22
still an architect but nah I'm retired I 04:25
don't do anything is that a lot of our 04:27
AI you sit around and what play chess no 04:29
I just sit around do nothing no I I we 04:31
play chess we travel we got grandkids we 04:34
got do kind of stuff it's fun is is that 04:37
a career you'd recommend the architect 04:39
for for people AR is really really 04:40
really good if you're creative and you 04:42
um you have a right side to the left 04:44
side of your brain and you want to use 04:46
both of them and it's really great if 04:48
you can design and develop at the same 04:50
time so you're the owner and not just 04:52
not just designing something for someone 04:54
else's dream but you're you're doing it 04:55
for your own dream profit good thing but 04:57
this is stuff that we used to do oh so 05:00
you designed that that yeah like we used 05:04
to do this this wow it's like churches 05:07
and stuff like that it's like see it's 05:09
like 05:11
3,000 wow how do you stay grounded or 05:12
how do you remember like I think you 05:16
start seeing this every day how do you 05:17
remember be like damn this is 05:18
awesome 05:20
God honestly honestly God it sounds real 05:22
trite but that's not that's it's the 05:25
truth it's like once you're grounded in 05:27
your spiritual life and your 05:30
relationship with God everything else is 05:33
easy everything else is easy you know 05:35
it's just like cuz you don't matter 05:37
success doesn't matter this house 05:39
doesn't matter okay although to me 05:40
physically yeah it matters but in a 05:43
bigger reality it doesn't matter how did 05:45
you and your wife both find your 05:47
passions and careers my wife always says 05:48
find something that you absolutely love 05:51
and make it a career and you'll never 05:53
work a day in your life and that's the 05:55
truth there's a bigger reality than this 05:56
reality so whatever you're doing it's 05:59
got to be for someone else's Glory not 06:01
your own Glory because what that does it 06:04
makes it if it's all for you everything 06:06
about life is so myopic everything about 06:09
life is about me me me and it's not um 06:11
it's not a healthy way it's not a 06:14
healthy existence and I think you're 06:16
what you're doing for you doesn't matter 06:18
at all okay it needs to be something 06:20
longer lasting and something of a bigger 06:23
scope than just your reality this this 06:24
world is a training ground you're given 06:27
certain things and certain things are 06:29
taken away from you but it's how you 06:30
deal with them what do you do when you 06:31
lose everything what do you do when you 06:33
get everything and you're the on the top 06:35
of the mountain what do you do do you 06:36
just sit back and it's all about you or 06:38
not it's a larger perspective that it's 06:41
really valuable and it's really valuable 06:43
I think to pass one this one is just 06:45
sold for 14 million that one just got 06:48
sold for 24.4 million kind of want to 06:50
see the 24 million one if they'll show 06:52
it to us one I love the muuza I'm Jewish 06:54
too we're we're doing a documentary 06:56
about what it's like to live in Newport 06:58
Beach I thought your house just looks 06:59
amazing it's okay I even tried to drop 07:01
my Jewish stuff I was like bro I'm a Jew 07:04
you're a Jew we're all Jews 07:06
here think about this how many people in 07:11
super rich open their own door one 07:13
someone should be open the door for you 07:15
but D you don't open your own door what 07:16
it's not 07:17
safe don't even knock my dog is hungry 07:21
this means no soliciting this means if 07:24
you didn't call aren't a friend you're 07:26
not carrying my mail you don't have 07:28
appointment aren't family are pushing 07:29
your religion and you're not handing out 07:30
million dollar checks don't even knock 07:31
my dog is 07:33
hungry hey hey by the way this is 07:34
probably the best sign I've ever seen 07:37
now I feel like I shouldn't even say 07:39
hello to 07:40
you do you live here no we live in 07:42
Austin Texas so we just came out so we 07:44
came out here cuz we heard it's a really 07:46
nice place one of the best in the world 07:48
yeah 55% of the people live here are 07:49
retired are you retired or I'm retired 07:51
yeah I was in commercial construction I 07:53
built data centers hospitals our other 07:55
part of business was you know the 07:58
technology campuses for you know Google 08:00
Facebook all those so they their office 08:02
campuses and then the big bit part of 08:05
the business has been data centers 08:07
really Hotel hotels for computers do you 08:10
remember your first paycheck like when 08:13
you first started in this career $21,000 08:14
a year it's coming a long 08:16
way here's my retirement gift hold your 08:19
hand out see how heavy that is oh that 08:22
is actually really heavy Chuck 08:24
Allen now did you did you sell the 08:27
business or you were like a principal I 08:29
was I was one I was you know I was one 08:31
of the owners in the business it was a 08:33
Subs Corp damn you're one of wow so I 08:35
was I was one of the major major 08:38
shareholders but uh and is it's still a 08:40
private business it's still a well it's 08:42
still a private business they went to C 08:44
Corp and they've got like uh I think 160 08:46
shareholders right now it sounds like 08:48
you're an entrepreneur like you built an 08:50
entire company that that did all this I 08:51
was part of a company when I joined the 08:52
company we were like 50 million in 08:54
Revenue when I left we were about 1.2 08:56
billion they just bought another 08:59
construction company now they're like at 09:00
2 billion do you recommend for people 09:02
that want to you know be able to live in 09:04
afford a place like this getting into 09:05
that kind of work yeah you get into work 09:06
whichever is your passion that's what 09:07
drives you if you don't have passion 09:09
about what you're doing then you know 09:11
you're why do it hey what's up man how 09:12
it going great just hanging out Newport 09:15
Beach talking about what it's like to 09:17
live here all right what's your favorite 09:18
thing about it obviously the weather 09:20
what do you do for them to be able to 09:23
afford to live here I'm a rider so I 09:24
just I live in the back House of this 09:26
house how much does this kind of house 09:28
go for a lot of our audiences people in 09:29
their early in their 09:31
career million 15 million yeah is there 09:32
any way we could have a tea with you 09:35
sure yeah if you're enjoying all the 09:37
lessons from these self-made 09:39
millionaires you are going to love the 09:40
newsletter I sent out every week where I 09:42
share three golden nuggets that will add 09:43
value to your entrepreneurial Journey it 09:45
might be a business book that shaped my 09:47
thinking productivity app that I'm 09:48
digging or a YouTube video that impacted 09:50
me you could sign up with the link below 09:51
or by going to 09:53
.com/srobiyt every single one of them 09:58
that's .com/srobiyt 10:00
[Music] 10:22
wow dude this is great check it out out 10:30
here they got the nice view of Newport 10:34
Coast to get the sunrise and the 10:36
sunset literally the living the dream 10:40
Newport Beach where's the book that you 10:42
sold you said you sold it for 10:44
years sit right 10:49
there so you wrote it in Spanish no I 10:51
wrote it in English and they came out in 10:54
Spanish McGrath Hill put it in Spanish 10:56
and that's the it got into the The 10:58
Legend of the America series that's 11:00
crazy going to be a movie too journeying 11:03
to hoab cou what advice do you have for 11:04
someone else who's thinking about 11:06
getting into books or art or children's 11:07
stories do it you know people it's funny 11:09
people always come up to me and say I 11:11
want to write a book what should I how 11:12
do I get it published you write the book 11:14
first you know that's it just escapes 11:16
people you know they thinking about how 11:19
they can make money from it how they can 11:20
get it published how what's the process 11:22
and I tell them just write the book 11:23
first try that and then go from there 11:26
what do you think the right way to live 11:28
is my mother used to tell us when we had 11:29
a problem she said imagine those dust 11:31
specks in the room when the sunlight 11:33
comes in say the Earth was the size of 11:34
that that dust speec okay so the the 11:36
Milky Way would be 100 million football 11:39
fields that's just the Milky Way and 11:42
there's 100 billion 100 million of those 11:44
football fields and 8 billion of us on 11:47
that dust back and your little head that 11:50
problem is inside that not it doesn't 11:53
even exist your little head so how big 11:55
is the problem inside it and we go 11:57
thanks Mom it's a good perspective yeah 12:00
so I I use that as a centering device 12:02
sometimes to think about you know how 12:05
absolutely unbelievable this all is you 12:08
know it's just fascinating it's just 12:10
mindblowing you know so I think if you 12:12
lose that sense of wonder 12:14
you you've lost a lot but maybe you 12:16
don't even know if you never had it the 12:18
retours of houses $15 million places 12:20
super amazing people super kind people a 12:23
lot of different ways to live your life 12:26
whether it's architecture whether it's 12:27
selling strawberries I think one of the 12:28
things for everyone out there is that we 12:30
did get rejected a lot but go find the 12:31
things that you're interested in and yes 12:33
you're going to have some challenges 12:34
you're going to have some people say no 12:35
to you but you also have a lot of people 12:36
like Jan like Leonard uh super kind 12:38
generous who uh are rooting for you to 12:40
win out there if you like this video 12:42
about Newport Beach and all the 12:44
interesting people out here and what 12:45
they do you are going to love this video 12:46
right up here where you try to get on a 12:48
private jet and find out what do these 12:49
people do for living and advice for 12:51
people like you and me make sure you 12:52
subscribe to the channel come on just go 12:53
do it Uncle Noah loves you and I'll see 12:54
you out there PE PE 12:56

about what it's like to live in Newport
Beach I thought your house just looks
amazing it's okay I even tried to drop
my Jewish stuff I was like bro I'm a Jew
you're a Jew we're all Jews
here think about this how many people in
super rich open their own door one
someone should be open the door for you
but D you don't open your own door what
it's not
safe don't even knock my dog is hungry
this means no soliciting this means if
you didn't call aren't a friend you're
not carrying my mail you don't have
appointment aren't family are pushing
your religion and you're not handing out
million dollar checks don't even knock
my dog is
hungry hey hey by the way this is
probably the best sign I've ever seen
now I feel like I shouldn't even say
hello to
you do you live here no we live in
Austin Texas so we just came out so we
came out here cuz we heard it's a really
nice place one of the best in the world
yeah 55% of the people live here are
retired are you retired or I'm retired
yeah I was in commercial construction I
built data centers hospitals our other
part of business was you know the
technology campuses for you know Google
Facebook all those so they their office
campuses and then the big bit part of
the business has been data centers
really Hotel hotels for computers do you
remember your first paycheck like when
you first started in this career $21,000
a year it's coming a long
way here's my retirement gift hold your
hand out see how heavy that is oh that
is actually really heavy Chuck
Allen now did you did you sell the
business or you were like a principal I
was I was one I was you know I was one
of the owners in the business it was a
Subs Corp damn you're one of wow so I
was I was one of the major major
shareholders but uh and is it's still a
private business it's still a well it's
still a private business they went to C
Corp and they've got like uh I think 160
shareholders right now it sounds like
you're an entrepreneur like you built an
entire company that that did all this I
was part of a company when I joined the
company we were like 50 million in
Revenue when I left we were about 1.2
billion they just bought another
construction company now they're like at
2 billion do you recommend for people
that want to you know be able to live in
afford a place like this getting into
that kind of work yeah you get into work
whichever is your passion that's what
drives you if you don't have passion
about what you're doing then you know
you're why do it hey what's up man how
it going great just hanging out Newport
Beach talking about what it's like to
live here all right what's your favorite
thing about it obviously the weather
what do you do for them to be able to
afford to live here I'm a rider so I
just I live in the back House of this
house how much does this kind of house
go for a lot of our audiences people in
their early in their
career million 15 million yeah is there

[Music]
wow dude this is great check it out out
here they got the nice view of Newport
Coast to get the sunrise and the
sunset literally the living the dream
Newport Beach where's the book that you
sold you said you sold it for
years sit right
there so you wrote it in Spanish no I
wrote it in English and they came out in
Spanish McGrath Hill put it in Spanish
and that's the it got into the The
Legend of the America series that's
crazy going to be a movie too journeying
to hoab cou what advice do you have for
someone else who's thinking about
getting into books or art or children's
stories do it you know people it's funny
people always come up to me and say I
want to write a book what should I how
do I get it published you write the book
first you know that's it just escapes
people you know they thinking about how
they can make money from it how they can
get it published how what's the process
and I tell them just write the book
first try that and then go from there
what do you think the right way to live
is my mother used to tell us when we had
a problem she said imagine those dust
specks in the room when the sunlight
comes in say the Earth was the size of
that that dust speec okay so the the
Milky Way would be 100 million football
fields that's just the Milky Way and
there's 100 billion 100 million of those
football fields and 8 billion of us on
that dust back and your little head that
problem is inside that not it doesn't
even exist your little head so how big
is the problem inside it and we go
thanks Mom it's a good perspective yeah
so I I use that as a centering device
sometimes to think about you know how
absolutely unbelievable this all is you
know it's just fascinating it's just
mindblowing you know so I think if you
lose that sense of wonder
you you've lost a lot but maybe you
don't even know if you never had it the
retours of houses $15 million places
super amazing people super kind people a
lot of different ways to live your life
whether it's architecture whether it's
selling strawberries I think one of the
things for everyone out there is that we
did get rejected a lot but go find the
things that you're interested in and yes
you're going to have some challenges
you're going to have some people say no
to you but you also have a lot of people
