[English]
- I've only put one piece in.
Technically zero because mommy found it
and she just let me put it in.
- [Voiceover] Back at the puzzle.
Bryce is helping out.
- Back at it.
- [Voiceover] Doing good, girls.
Doing good.
Good morning, clan.
Welcome to Wednesday.
Armsday in the world of
Destiny if you follow.
And today, got the tree out.
All the Christmas decorations
are pretty much gone
in the living room.
Now Tiffany has to actually
put regular decorations in.
I guess she has to go shopping.
Go buy some stuff for the living room.
We still have a chair to buy.
If you guys remember,
we talked about a chair right there.
We're going to wait for after
the holidays and whatnot.
There's all the boxes that
I got to put in the attic
but I can't put them in the attic
because I got to clean out the garage.
Mason and Christy are here
and Christy's helping
Sierra with her hair.
- She helped me the other day
so now I'm helping her.
- [Voiceover] Oh.
- And I have a pen through my tongue.
- [Voiceover] Yeah, that looks like
it might get infected, dude.
You might want to go
to the emergency room.
(light music)
So for today's agenda,
we are doing lunch with mema and papa
and mamaw and the Bevos
and then now we're heading
over to the movie theater
to go see the new Chipmunks movie.
That's the plan.
That's the agenda.
And looking forward to
hanging out with the fam.
I was going to stream
Star Wars this morning.
Try to get on a schedule
but then Tiffany reminded me
it's a bad time to start a schedule,
it's a bad time to stream
when the kids are out of the school
and they're out doing stuff.
I mean if the kids were
staying home today,
no big deal.
If the kids were going
to a friend's house,
no big deal
but since they're going out and about
and having fun and doing fun things,
it makes sense for me to join them
so I postponed the Star
Wars stream for later today
to have lunch and go to the movies.
And this kid's super happy for it.
He's happy his dad's here.
Aren't you?
Say yes, I'm happy Clint.
- No.
You guys have to be on the same color.
- [Voiceover] Trying to teach the kids
on how to play checkers.
- I already knew because
I played at school.
- [Voiceover] Oh, okay.
Okay.
Well, teaching these two.
Claim Jumpers has such great architecture.
Look at that fireplace.
Just massive.
Massive.
Giant wood beams for the structure.
Wood siding.
(laughing)
You think you can handle that?
You got to eat the whole thing, dude.
- Why do I have to?
- [Voiceover] Because you ordered it.
- [Voiceover] Good luck with that, Bryce.
- [Voiceover] Look at the size of that.
Look at the size of the burger, guys.
That's the Widow Maker.
- [Tiffany] Let me turn it for you.
- [Voiceover] Yeah, turn it for them.
I love that burger.
- [Bryce] Sierra, look
at how big my burger is.
Look how big my burger is.
- [Voiceover] Lisa got ribs.
Sierra got mac and cheese.
We got fish tacos, sandwiches.
- [Sierra] I didn't get mac and cheese.
- [Voiceover] Salmon.
What did you get?
- Burrito.
- [Voiceover] Oh, burrito.
Excuse me.
I went with the fish.
- [Voiceover] Spinach salad.
- [Voiceover] Oh yeah,
mom's salad's awesome.
Oh, hi mom.
By the way, hi.
- Hi.
- [Voiceover] How is it, dude?
- Good but huge.
- [Voiceover] Yeah, that's a good burger.
I've had that burger a few times.
It's good stuff.
Whoo.
Great lunch.
Love me some salmon.
I'm trying to eat more fish, guys.
I eat,
I love burgers.
Who doesn't love a good burger?
I eat too many burgers.
I need to stop eating so much red meat.
I'm not really a fan of chicken anymore.
Chicken is kind of like over,
kind of over killed chicken.
So it's all about fish, man.
I'm eating more fish.
If someone has a fish option,
I'm going to go with fish.
Fishy fishy.
Movie time.
What are we seeing, Sierra?
- What?
- [Voiceover] What are we seeing?
- Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip.
- [Voiceover] Road Chip.
So what did you think of the movie?
- It was funny.
- [Voiceover] It was funny?
Yeah.
Better than any of the
other ones or the same?
Out of the four,
which one do you like the best?
There's been four.
- I like this one a lot.
- [Voiceover] This one was good.
- But I also like the third one.
- [Voiceover] Chipwrecked?
- Yeah.
- [Voiceover] See, I didn't see that one.
- No?
- [Voiceover] What about you?
What did you think of the movie?
- It was funny.
- [Voiceover] It was funny?
- Yeah.
- [Voiceover] Who's
your favorite chipmunk?
- Alvin.
- [Voiceover] Alvin, yeah.
- I like how he does all the bad stuff.
- [Voiceover] He's the one
always getting into trouble, huh?
- Yeah.
- [Voiceover] Yep.
Alright, you guys.
It is finally time
to kick off our Star Wars marathon.
Here it is.
The Star Wars digital movie collection
on the Apple TV.
All six movies right there
ready for us to rock and roll.
We got Mason in the house.
Mason's never seen all these movies
all the way through.
I think he's seen about as
much of Return of the Jedi
as Bryce has
and the reason we watched
Return of the Jedi
was A I said it was my favorite one
and B it's the one that Yoda dies
and blah blah blah.
Spoiler alert.
But no, we're going to bust down,
we're going to try to get through
the first three tonight.
That's the goal is to get
through three tonight.
Six hours of Star Wars.
We'll take a couple breaks.
We'll eat some pizza, some popcorn
and then tomorrow morning
because Mason's staying the night,
hopefully tomorrow morning
we can jump right in.
Hopefully the kids are pumped
after watching the first three
that they can't wait to
watch the next three.
That's my goal at least.
Cross your fingers.
And we'll go right into the
next three tomorrow morning
and then the goal is
to go see the new Star Wars movie
on New Years' Day.
That is the goal.
Hopefully Jack's cool with that.
Jack's off of work though
so it would be the perfect
day for us to go see that.
So that's what we're going to do guys.
That's how we're going to end our night.
We'll keep you updated.
We'll vlog throughout our breaks
and get the kids reactions
after each movie.
That sort of thing.
But Star Wars marathon.
Here we go.
- And Yoda,
he's dead but we took his body.
- [Voiceover] (laughs) Geez.
We stuffed Yoda's body.
- [Bryce] Scared me.
(laughing)
- [Voiceover] The most
famous intro of all time.
In the beginning.
Alright you guys, we just finished
Episode I: The Phantom Menace
and kids, what do you guys think?
- It was good.
- [Voiceover] It was good?
- It was awesome.
- [Voiceover] It was awesome?
Bryce's normal reaction is awesome.
So what did we learn in the first movie?
- We learned about Anakin--
- [Voiceover] We learned
where Anakin Skywalker
came from.
Right?
How they found him.
How he got to the Jedi temple
and got on the path to be a Jedi, right?
Alright, so now we're getting ready
to start Episode II which
is Attack of the Clones.
It's ten years later
so the movie we just finished,
this is ten years later.
- So Anakin would be at least a teenager.
- [Voiceover] Yeah, we
don't know how old he was
in the first movie.
Let's just say he was eight.
Right?
Like your age Bryce.
- Seven, eight.
- [Voiceover] Yeah and so now he's 18.
- Yeah, in the movie we just watched,
Episode I we learned that
now Anakin is an apprentice
and Obi-Wan is--
- [Voiceover] Is the master.
- He's the master
so now Obi-Wan's going to be like,
what's his name?
- [Voiceover] Qui-Gon Jinn.
- Qui-Gon Jinn and--
- Wait, who's the apprentice?
- [Voiceover] No, it's Anakin.
- Anakin.
- [Voiceover] Alright, here we go.
Episode II.
I'm excited.
It's been a while since
I've seen this one.
I saw the first one a lot.
This one I only saw it like
once or twice, I think.
Ooh.
- [Voiceover] Oh my God.
I'm so sorry.
- Holy moly.
That's why you always put the strap on.
Alright guys, so we just got done with
Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
Lot was revealed in that movie.
The problem is,
and I don't regret it but
there's a lot of foreshadowing
in Attack of the Clones
for the other movies, right?
So stormtroopers, star destroyers,
the Death Star.
All that stuff is kind of
foreshadowed in that movie.
I'm getting all excited about it like
oh my gosh
and these guys are like, whoa what?
Oh yeah, you don't know
because you haven't seen the movies.
They haven't seen four, five and six,
the original Star Wars movies
and so they don't get it
so there's a lot of that for me like oh
but anyways, we're getting ready to watch
Episode III.
We are going to kick it off.
It's 10:15,
which means it's going to be a late night.
We're going to be close to one o'clock
by the time we're done with this.
12:30
by the time we get done with this.
But it's the last one for tonight.
It gets us to Darth Vader
and then tomorrow morning
when we wake up,
we all wake up together,
we're going to finish
up four, five and six
and we're going to watch
all the way to the end
and then we'll be ready for the new one.
Right, guys?
- Yeah.
- So far, what do you guys think?
You guys excited?
- Yeah.
- Loving this so far?
- Yeah.
- There's a lot of talking.
There's some slow parts, right Bryce?
- Yeah.
- But the action's worth it.
- I'm mad though.
- Why you mad?
- There's no Chewbacca.
- We got two wookies right here.
But you guys will be ready in the morning.
We'll see Chewie tomorrow morning.
- It's because the Chewbacca's here.
- That's right.
- The talking is important--
- It's part of the story.
- Yeah because let's say
if they never talked,
you don't even know why they're fighting.
- That's right.
Sierra gets it.
She's older.
She gets it.
Alright, let's start Episode
III: Revenge of the Sith.
Well, it's about 11 o'clock
and I started losing them.
They started kind of dozing off
so I decided to pause the movie.
We're about, I don't know,
45 minutes in.
About an hour in or so.
50 minutes or so.
And it's starting to get good
and I don't want them to miss anything
because Revenge of the Sith, Episode III
is the pivotal movie
where you see the transformation,
you see everything happening,
you see what leads up to A New Hope
and so we're going to pause the movie,
we're going to go to bed
and we're going to pick up in the morning
where we left off
and hopefully we can get
through all four movies now
that we have to watch tomorrow.
That's a lot of movies.
And that's where I'm going
to call it a night guys.
As I said before,
kind of an unexpected
turn of events today.
Makes total sense.
I should definitely be
hanging out with the kids
as much as possible while
they're on winter break
so I'm glad that we went out to lunch
and saw the movie.
It was funny.
Definitely recommend
the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie
if you're into those.
And then we got to sit down and watch
at least two of the Star Wars movies.
Our goal is to finish
them all off tomorrow.
I don't know.
I don't know if it's because it was late
and so they were getting tired
or if they were just like
four hours of movies today,
they were just like frying their brain
but we're going to at least
attempt to get through
two more movies.
Hopefully get all three.
We'll see.
But that's the goal.
That's the plan.
