Hello my friends good morning 00:00
or good evening 00:01
depending on where you are in the world 00:02
it's Nina and today I'm going to show you what I eat in a day 00:04
This has been one of my most requested videos for a very long time 00:08
I'm surprised I still haven't made a what I eat in a day video 00:10
I cook a lot on my channel, but I don't really show you guys what I eat in an entire day 00:14
I mean I kind of do because I vlog anyway 00:18
I'm finally going to do this video for guys 00:20
and expose what I eat throughout a normal day 00:21
I should actually first mention that 00:23
the first thing I have is about 8 ounces of water in the morning 00:26
I don't actually count how many ounces 00:29
I just drink a good amount of water. That's my little sticker 00:30
I have merch by the way. It's in the description 00:33
so anyway I have a good amount of water in the morning 00:34
just to get my blood flowing 00:37
and make sure that I have some kind of water 00:38
I'm also gonna mention obviously that what I eat in a day isn't fixed 00:40
This is just what I happens to eat today 00:43
today for breakfast I want to make avocado toast 00:45
So let's go make it 00:48
neen! 00:49
boop 00:50
Hello 00:53
so usually in the morning 00:54
I will have oatmeal or some kind of toast 00:54
when I say some kind of toast it varies 00:57
a lot of the time I will go for a simple peanut butter toast 00:58
Basically, I have multigrain toast with peanut butter 01:02
and then I put apples and cinnamon on it or instead of apples 01:04
I'll slice bananas 01:06
but today I wanted to have 01:07
that was my dog 01:10
but today I wanted to have avocado toast 01:10
This is also something I've been having recently 01:12
I will now show you how to make avocado toast 01:14
i have to go and get you guys again 01:17
Here is the bread that I use 01:19
21 whole grains and seeds 01:20
So I have two beautiful slices 01:22
and we're gonna put it in the toaster 01:24
There we go. And then to toast it 01:26
I'm gonna give it a nice four and then there's two slices 01:28
Then we start 01:32
I'm going to now prepare the avocado 01:33
I already washed it 01:35
gonna take a tiny little cutting board 01:36
and i'll get a knife. 01:38
It's very simple. We're just going to cut halfway 01:39
Hopefully it'll turn out 01:44
beautiful 01:47
when you're eating an avocado, make sure it's kind of soft 01:47
and we're going to carefully 01:50
take the pit out just like that 01:51
I prefer my avocado kind of mashed 01:53
I used to do it like in slices, but that's too much work 01:56
It's too much work to make it pretty 01:59
so I'm just gonna slice it just like this 02:01
be very careful 02:04
and my toast is ready guys 02:05
now we have our finished toast 02:06
I'm gonna take a spoon and then I'm just going to scoop everything out 02:08
Now people might say avocado toast is very basic 02:11
and over-eaten, but it's just food okay 02:14
I like avocado toast 02:17
There are lots of healthy fats 02:18
It tastes good and it keeps you feeling energized and full. 02:19
could this be prettier? mayhaps 02:22
but it has character 02:24
now on to the next 02:25
we're going to finish this off with some salt pepper and 02:26
Red pepper flakes 02:29
just a good amount of salt 02:31
And just for a spicy kick, I'm gonna put red pepper flakes 02:35
It also makes it look pretty 02:39
and there we have our toast. This is my avocado toast 02:40
It's very simple to make 02:44
but very delicious 02:45
even though I haven't tried it yet 02:47
we're gonna try it now 02:48
I also like to have a cup of carrot orange juice in the morning 02:49
I don't have it all the time 02:52
But when I want to treat myself, I'll have some juice. 02:54
This is essentially just carrot juice and orange juice together 02:56
It's a really good combination 02:58
Yes 03:03
but now we're going to have this beautiful avocado toast 03:03
I actually do sometimes like to have sriracha with it 03:06
even though there's already chili pepper flakes 03:09
if it's not spicy enough 03:11
I like to put in a little bit of sriracha for a tang. 03:12
Here we go 03:15
that's good 03:22
I'm more of a savory food kind of person anyway 03:25
So it's nice to have some avocado toast 03:28
isn't she beautiful. I put some sriracha on it 03:30
Yes 03:34
so after I eat breakfast 03:34
I'll usually just have a bunch of snacks throughout the day 03:36
I'll eat lunch when I'm with my friends 03:38
because we're outside 03:39
but usually if I'm at home i'll just have snacks throughout the day 03:40
that can be fruits, that can be nuts. 03:43
If I do happen to get hungry around 3 or 4 p.m. I'll have a small lunch 03:45
So we'll see what happens today 03:48
i'll see you guys later 03:52
neen! boop 03:53
Hello again, it is almost 4:00 p.m. 03:54
and I'm about to have some snacks 03:56
so usually throughout a day 03:58
I'm either filming or editing 03:59
or taking care of admin stuff or studying 04:01
I study Korean on my own 04:03
or just doing something throughout the day 04:04
but around 3 or 4 p.m I get a little peckish 04:06
and so I just have a bunch of snacks. 04:09
Oh, why did the focus unfocus 04:10
here i have an apple that I washed 04:12
and then I also have a banana 04:14
I feel like I still eat like a college student 04:16
I have these simple fruits. 04:18
I have a bowl of mixed nuts. 04:20
Just a small handful. I love snacking on fruit 04:22
And so these are the fruits that I have right now. 04:24
I love grapes. I love berries 04:26
I love oranges or tangerines 04:28
but I especially love having mixed nuts 04:30
because they are a source of fiber and energy, protein 04:32
They're just nutritionally dense 04:35
and so I like to snack on these as well 04:37
So let's have a taste 04:38
This is a cashew 04:39
if you have any nut allergies 04:41
please refrain from the nuts that you're allergic to 04:43
These are just simple unsalted nuts 04:45
I had trail mix a lot when I was in college 04:48
but now I just go for the nuts 04:50
because I wasn't a huge fan of the dried fruit 04:52
There are also almonds in this mix 04:54
but occasionally I get a naked almond 04:56
This is a naked almond 04:58
you have been blessed by the naked almond 05:00
other snacks that I like to eat are crackers and hummus 05:02
Maybe I'll have even a bagel 05:05
I just like to eat light throughout the day 05:07
but enough to give me energy and nutrition 05:08
but just little snacks here and there and 05:11
then I also like to drink water 05:12
usually around this time 05:13
I also have a cup of tea or coffee 05:14
not like coffee coffee 05:17
but like an iced americano or an iced latte 05:18
But today I just wasn't really in the mood to have it 05:20
because I feel like I have energy 05:23
just from my own body, not from caffeine 05:25
So I'm trying to keep up with that 05:27
instead of trying to force myself to have energy 05:29
if I feel like I don't have enough energy 05:32
I will have an iced latte or an iced americano 05:33
or a nice cup of tea 05:36
but today I'm just feeling water 05:37
This is a great apple 05:38
neen! boop 05:45
I thought I was going to make veggie stir-fry 05:46
but then I realized that actually takes a lot of time 05:48
So I'm going back to my first plan of making doenjang jjigae 05:51
which is a Korean soup 05:54
It's literally my favorite soup 05:56
the way that I'm going to make it, it's a little not conventional 05:57
I have a starter pack for doenjang jjigae 06:01
So all I need to do is open the pack 06:03
toss it into a pan 06:05
put some water and then cook it 06:06
it's just more simple for me 06:08
If you want to make it the traditional way you just get.. here I'll show you 06:09
you just get some doenjang paste 06:12
it's literally just a container of paste 06:13
you put a few spoonfuls into a pot 06:15
you can add dried anchovy or 06:17
whatever kind of base you want 06:19
if you want to make it more flavorful 06:21
but it's also good by itself 06:23
but personally for me 06:24
I'm going to be using this little starter pack. 06:25
So this is doenjang which is already good to go 06:27
I'm gonna use this instead of this because with this 06:30
i actually come up with the flavor 06:32
this, it's already there 06:34
You can get this at an Asian market 06:35
I'm not entirely sure if markets in America have them 06:36
maybe they do me if they don't but 06:40
but we're going to make some doenjang jjigae 06:42
i'm gonna get a cutting board 06:44
So you're gonna need a zucchini 06:46
I have some broccoli and mushroom 06:47
and we're going to cut this all up 06:49
the great thing about this is literally 06:51
you just cut it up and boil it and you're done. 06:52
The broccoli is going to be a side dish 06:54
It's not going to go into the soup 06:55
and I'm going to show you a quick way to prepare broccoli 06:57
It's literally the fastest method there is 06:59
I'm going to use a microwave to cook the broccoli 07:02
eat your greens 07:04
So let's just get started. 07:05
I'm going to wash all of my vegetables and chop them up 07:07
I also forgot to mention that there is tofu in the recipe. 07:09
I'll get the tofu later 07:12
for now we're going to cut the vegetables 07:13
here is a zucchini. 07:15
we're going to cut it into moon shaped pieces 07:16
We're gonna cut it in half just like that 07:19
and then we shall cut. Here we go, my friends 07:23
cut it kind of thick not too thick 07:25
you don't want it to be too thin either or else it will become soggy 07:28
There we go 07:37
I'm gonna get started on the soup now 07:38
I'm just going to pour the contents of this into here 07:40
and then it also says to add 600 CC of water 07:44
Yummy 07:50
I'm gonna add some water 07:50
it basically has a line for you 07:51
So I'm going to add that 07:53
Now we're going to let this boil 08:01
I am now going to cut my mushrooms 08:04
just into quarter sized pieces 08:07
we've got lots of veggies. 08:24
I'm not really sure how this is going to fit 08:26
but we'll try our best 08:28
So the broccoli recipe is a variation of Korean sesame broccoli 08:29
This is basically the lazy version of sesame broccoli 08:33
I'm essentially steaming the broccoli in the microwave 08:36
and then I'm going to toss in sesame oil sesame seeds also salt and pepper all that 08:38
But yeah, this is basically the laziest Korean meal 08:41
I've made doenjang jjigae a lot on this channel 08:44
but I haven't made it in a specifically food-related video 08:46
so here it is 08:49
the soup is going 08:50
we're just going to let it boil 08:52
and then add all of our stuff 08:53
You're just boiling everything together essentially 08:54
This is really easily. That's why I wanted to cook this 08:56
I am now going to add my vegetables 08:58
it's gonna splash a little bit so this might be dangerous 09:01
There we go, yes, yes get in there. 09:05
Oh my god, it's hot 09:08
please be careful 09:09
let's go, get in there 09:10
nice 09:12
everything fit 09:12
We're literally just letting this boil until the vegetables are all cooked 09:13
And then we're going to toss in our tofu 09:16
and it should be done 09:18
So the soup has been cooking for about five ish minutes 09:19
and then I just lowered it to a nice 3 09:22
at this point we're just letting it chill by itself 09:25
I'm gonna lower it just a little bit so it doesn't burn behind me 09:27
next I'm going to cut my tofu. 09:31
This is just firm tofu. 09:32
So we're just going to cut this into nice cubes 09:34
I'm going to cut it in half first 09:36
and then another half 09:39
until we get quarters 09:40
and then we're going to cut this way 09:42
very simple 09:44
you don't really need to worry about how you cut it. 09:45
This is just how I like it. I like it nice in cubes 09:47
and then after you cut it this way 09:50
we're going to finish it off by cutting the other way 09:51
so we get nice bite-sized cubes 09:53
I'm going to make these a little big 09:57
I like big pieces of tofu 09:59
This is going to absorb all the flavor of the doenjang 10:00
So in goes the tofu 10:03
oh so carefully 10:04
it's going to make a bit of a splash 10:05
There we go 10:08
We're just gonna cook this off for a few more minutes 10:09
just until the tofu is nice and hot 10:11
and it absorbs some soup 10:13
literally with doenjang jjigae there's no perfect one. 10:15
It's just nice Korean comfort food 10:17
so while we have our soup boiling 10:21
i put it at a nice low heat 10:23
because we're pretty much done now 10:24
now I'm going to make my broccoli 10:26
I washed some broccoli and we're going to make this 10:28
this is the laziest version of sesame broccoli that you will encounter 10:30
We're gonna take a nice plate 10:34
and since I washed the broccoli 10:36
it has some water left on it 10:38
That's going to help it steam 10:39
I should cut it first cuz they are kind of big 10:41
I'm gonna cut the broccoli just a tiny bit 10:43
Make it into good sized pieces. 10:46
We're going to season our broccoli. 10:48
I'm going to use garlic powder, salt, and pepper 10:50
We just want a decent amount. 10:53
We don't believe in measurements in an Asian household. 10:55
That should be fine. Maybe a little bit more 10:58
Oh, okay 11:00
a good amount of salt 11:01
and then some pepper 11:03
And now we're going to microwave this 11:06
I'm going to put a 11:08
microwave-safe plate on top 11:10
and we're going to literally just cook this for I want to say like a minute or two 11:12
I'll give it a minute and then just add 30 more seconds. 11:16
Here we go, my friends 11:18
We're going to cook this for a minute or so 11:20
I'm gonna give it a minute first 11:23
and then I'll add 30 seconds if need it be 11:26
welcome to my cooking show 11:28
done 11:36
I'm going to taste the soup real quick 11:37
the soup's delicious. 11:41
omg that's so good 11:44
I did cheat a little bit by using a pack 11:46
But essentially it's the same point 11:48
you add doenjang you add whatever bases you want 11:50
whether that's dried anchovy 11:53
kelp, mushroom, whatever it is 11:55
and you have soup 11:57
now our broccoli is done 11:58
We're going to see if it needs more time 12:00
it's going to be very hot so get your mitts 12:01
I'm gonna check it real quick and see what happens 12:04
Be very careful handling these plates. 12:07
The steam also is going to go into your face 12:09
So make sure you're not close to it. 12:11
That looks good. 12:12
I think one minute is perfect you guys 12:13
This is so cute. 12:16
I'm gonna show you guys 12:17
make sure you do not touch the plates with your bare hands 12:18
Here is the beautiful broccoli 12:22
so the final touches 12:25
I'm going to add sesame oil and sesame seeds 12:26
to make it a nice Korean flavor 12:29
You've got some nice roasted sesame seeds 12:31
then I also have a nice bottle of sesame oil. 12:34
Here it is. 12:37
Nice drizzle 12:38
and then our seeds 12:40
We're gonna toss this around a little bit. 12:41
Oh it already smells good. 12:43
I wish you guys could smell this. 12:44
This looks beautiful 12:46
I'm gonna taste one real quick. 12:47
Here we go 12:49
omg that is the best lazy sesame broccoli i've had 12:54
and that is our ever so quick sesame broccoli 12:57
This is one of my favorite side dishes in Korean restaurants 12:59
or banchan 13:02
this is my favorite banchan 13:03
Our soup is also nice and beautiful. 13:04
This is going to be A MEAL 13:07
I'm gonna serve this with rice, kimchi, and the broccoli. 13:09
I am quite pleased with myself 13:12
We've got our broccoli, our kimchi, rice and our doenjang jjigae 13:15
I also have water right here. 13:19
Let's eat. 13:20
here we go 13:21
Yes 13:27
that is so good, please 13:27
gotta eat it with rice of course 13:29
wow 13:39
the broccoli is fantastic 13:39
This is literally my go-to meal 13:43
it's so easy to make 13:45
we've got some kimchi over here, too 13:46
Mmm 13:50
okay I'm just gonna eat the rest now bye 13:52
neen! boop 13:54
whew okay 13:56
I am tired and full 13:56
But that was a look into what I eat in a day 13:59
the days vary obviously 14:01
sometimes I'll go out to eat 14:03
Sometimes I will have a drink 14:04
Not alcoholic. 14:08
I mean like boba or a coffee or a latte 14:08
if I'm with my friends I'll go eat lunch with them 14:12
But this is what I ate today. 14:14
I hope you enjoyed this video 14:15
I am going to go do my skincare and go to sleep 14:16
but that is going to be it for me 14:19
we're gonna bring it in for a hug as always 14:21
thank you for watching and I will see you next time 14:23
goodbye, my friends :) 14:24
sending you off with a heart! pyoong 14:25
Okay, bye ;) (love y'all!!) 14:30

other snacks that I like to eat are crackers and hummus
Maybe I'll have even a bagel
I just like to eat light throughout the day
but enough to give me energy and nutrition
but just little snacks here and there and
then I also like to drink water
usually around this time
I also have a cup of tea or coffee
not like coffee coffee
but like an iced americano or an iced latte
But today I just wasn't really in the mood to have it
because I feel like I have energy
just from my own body, not from caffeine
So I'm trying to keep up with that
instead of trying to force myself to have energy
if I feel like I don't have enough energy
I will have an iced latte or an iced americano
or a nice cup of tea
but today I'm just feeling water
This is a great apple
neen! boop
I thought I was going to make veggie stir-fry
but then I realized that actually takes a lot of time
So I'm going back to my first plan of making doenjang jjigae
which is a Korean soup
It's literally my favorite soup
the way that I'm going to make it, it's a little not conventional
I have a starter pack for doenjang jjigae
So all I need to do is open the pack
toss it into a pan
put some water and then cook it
it's just more simple for me
If you want to make it the traditional way you just get.. here I'll show you
you just get some doenjang paste
it's literally just a container of paste
you put a few spoonfuls into a pot
you can add dried anchovy or
whatever kind of base you want
if you want to make it more flavorful
but it's also good by itself
but personally for me
I'm going to be using this little starter pack.
So this is doenjang which is already good to go
I'm gonna use this instead of this because with this
i actually come up with the flavor
this, it's already there
You can get this at an Asian market
I'm not entirely sure if markets in America have them
maybe they do me if they don't but
but we're going to make some doenjang jjigae
i'm gonna get a cutting board
So you're gonna need a zucchini
I have some broccoli and mushroom
and we're going to cut this all up
the great thing about this is literally
you just cut it up and boil it and you're done.
The broccoli is going to be a side dish
It's not going to go into the soup
and I'm going to show you a quick way to prepare broccoli
It's literally the fastest method there is
I'm going to use a microwave to cook the broccoli
eat your greens
So let's just get started.
I'm going to wash all of my vegetables and chop them up
I also forgot to mention that there is tofu in the recipe.
I'll get the tofu later
for now we're going to cut the vegetables
here is a zucchini.
we're going to cut it into moon shaped pieces
We're gonna cut it in half just like that
and then we shall cut. Here we go, my friends
cut it kind of thick not too thick
you don't want it to be too thin either or else it will become soggy
There we go
I'm gonna get started on the soup now
I'm just going to pour the contents of this into here
and then it also says to add 600 CC of water
Yummy
I'm gonna add some water
it basically has a line for you
So I'm going to add that
Now we're going to let this boil
I am now going to cut my mushrooms
just into quarter sized pieces
we've got lots of veggies.
I'm not really sure how this is going to fit
but we'll try our best
So the broccoli recipe is a variation of Korean sesame broccoli
This is basically the lazy version of sesame broccoli
I'm essentially steaming the broccoli in the microwave
and then I'm going to toss in sesame oil sesame seeds also salt and pepper all that
But yeah, this is basically the laziest Korean meal
I've made doenjang jjigae a lot on this channel
but I haven't made it in a specifically food-related video
so here it is
the soup is going
we're just going to let it boil
and then add all of our stuff
You're just boiling everything together essentially
This is really easily. That's why I wanted to cook this
I am now going to add my vegetables
it's gonna splash a little bit so this might be dangerous
There we go, yes, yes get in there.
Oh my god, it's hot
please be careful
let's go, get in there
nice
everything fit
We're literally just letting this boil until the vegetables are all cooked
And then we're going to toss in our tofu
and it should be done
So the soup has been cooking for about five ish minutes
and then I just lowered it to a nice 3
at this point we're just letting it chill by itself
I'm gonna lower it just a little bit so it doesn't burn behind me
next I'm going to cut my tofu.
This is just firm tofu.
So we're just going to cut this into nice cubes
I'm going to cut it in half first
and then another half
until we get quarters
and then we're going to cut this way
very simple
you don't really need to worry about how you cut it.
This is just how I like it. I like it nice in cubes
and then after you cut it this way
we're going to finish it off by cutting the other way
so we get nice bite-sized cubes
I'm going to make these a little big
I like big pieces of tofu
This is going to absorb all the flavor of the doenjang
So in goes the tofu
oh so carefully
it's going to make a bit of a splash
There we go
We're just gonna cook this off for a few more minutes
just until the tofu is nice and hot
and it absorbs some soup
literally with doenjang jjigae there's no perfect one.
It's just nice Korean comfort food
so while we have our soup boiling
i put it at a nice low heat
because we're pretty much done now
now I'm going to make my broccoli
I washed some broccoli and we're going to make this
this is the laziest version of sesame broccoli that you will encounter
We're gonna take a nice plate
and since I washed the broccoli
it has some water left on it
That's going to help it steam
I should cut it first cuz they are kind of big
I'm gonna cut the broccoli just a tiny bit
Make it into good sized pieces.
We're going to season our broccoli.
I'm going to use garlic powder, salt, and pepper
We just want a decent amount.
We don't believe in measurements in an Asian household.
That should be fine. Maybe a little bit more
Oh, okay
a good amount of salt
and then some pepper
And now we're going to microwave this
I'm going to put a
microwave-safe plate on top
and we're going to literally just cook this for I want to say like a minute or two
I'll give it a minute and then just add 30 more seconds.
Here we go, my friends
We're going to cook this for a minute or so
I'm gonna give it a minute first
and then I'll add 30 seconds if need it be
welcome to my cooking show
done
I'm going to taste the soup real quick
the soup's delicious.
omg that's so good
I did cheat a little bit by using a pack
But essentially it's the same point
you add doenjang you add whatever bases you want
whether that's dried anchovy
kelp, mushroom, whatever it is
and you have soup
now our broccoli is done
We're going to see if it needs more time
it's going to be very hot so get your mitts
I'm gonna check it real quick and see what happens
Be very careful handling these plates.
The steam also is going to go into your face
So make sure you're not close to it.
That looks good.
I think one minute is perfect you guys
This is so cute.
I'm gonna show you guys
make sure you do not touch the plates with your bare hands
Here is the beautiful broccoli
so the final touches
I'm going to add sesame oil and sesame seeds
to make it a nice Korean flavor
You've got some nice roasted sesame seeds
then I also have a nice bottle of sesame oil.
Here it is.
Nice drizzle
and then our seeds
We're gonna toss this around a little bit.
Oh it already smells good.
I wish you guys could smell this.
This looks beautiful
I'm gonna taste one real quick.
Here we go
omg that is the best lazy sesame broccoli i've had
and that is our ever so quick sesame broccoli
This is one of my favorite side dishes in Korean restaurants
or banchan
this is my favorite banchan
Our soup is also nice and beautiful.
This is going to be A MEAL
I'm gonna serve this with rice, kimchi, and the broccoli.
I am quite pleased with myself
We've got our broccoli, our kimchi, rice and our doenjang jjigae
I also have water right here.
Let's eat.
here we go
Yes
that is so good, please
gotta eat it with rice of course
wow
the broccoli is fantastic
This is literally my go-to meal
it's so easy to make
we've got some kimchi over here, too
Mmm
okay I'm just gonna eat the rest now bye
neen! boop
whew okay
I am tired and full
But that was a look into what I eat in a day
the days vary obviously
sometimes I'll go out to eat
Sometimes I will have a drink
Not alcoholic.
I mean like boba or a coffee or a latte
if I'm with my friends I'll go eat lunch with them
But this is what I ate today.
I hope you enjoyed this video
I am going to go do my skincare and go to sleep
but that is going to be it for me
we're gonna bring it in for a hug as always
thank you for watching and I will see you next time
goodbye, my friends :)
sending you off with a heart! pyoong
Okay, bye ;) (love y'all!!)
