준비되셨나요? 오늘은 요리에 대해 이야기해 보려고 합니다.

저는 요리를 할 줄 몰라요.

그래서 이 주제에 대해 잘 알지 못합니다.

하지만 먹는 것을 좋아해서 음식에 대해 이야기하는 건 전반적으로 좋아해요.

저는 운이 좋은 편인데, 제 아내가 요리를 아주 잘하거든요.

아내는 요리에 타고난 재능이 있습니다.

그래서 아내가 요리를 잘한다는 건, 제가 잘 먹는다는 뜻이죠.

제 아내가 만드는 요리들에 대해 말씀드릴게요.

아내는 멕시코 사람이라 멕시코 음식 만드는 것을 좋아합니다.

가끔 타코를 만드는데 정말 맛있어요.

타코는 종류가 아주 많아서, 아내는 매번 다른 타코를 만들어 줄 수 있습니다.

저도 예전에 타코를 만들어 본 적이 있지만,

요리를 잘 못 해서 제 타코는 별로 맛이 없었어요.

혀 요리인 '타코스 데 렝구아(tacos de lengua)'를 만들었는데,

잘 만들지 못했죠. 제 아내가 훨씬 더 잘합니다.

제가 유일하게 잘 만드는 요리는 계란 요리입니다.

저는 계란을 정말 좋아해서 거의 매일 아침에 먹어요.

계란이 최고의 아침 식사 메뉴라고 생각합니다.

보통 스크램블 에그를 먹지만, 다른 종류의 계란 요리도 먹습니다.

제가 가장 좋아하는 건 에그 베네딕트예요.

음, 제가 제일 좋아하는 아침 식사죠. 에그 베네딕트 드셔보신 적 있나요?

그리고 제 아내는 파스타도 만듭니다.

정말 맛있는 파스타를 만들어요.

가게에서 파는 상자 든 파스타를 사지 않고,

면을 직접 손으로 만듭니다.

직접 만든 면이라 맛이 정말 좋아요.

파스타를 손으로 직접 만들면 맛이 더 좋거든요.

저는 모든 종류의 파스타를 좋아하지만, 가장 좋아하는 건 라비올리입니다.

저에게 라비올리는 완벽한 음식이에요.

사실 저는 모든 이탈리아 음식을 좋아합니다.

이탈리아에 있었을 때 정말 놀라운 음식들을 먹었거든요.

제 아내는 고기 요리도 많이 합니다.

우리는 매주 다양한 부위의 스테이크를 먹는 것을 좋아해요.

고기는 비쌀 수 있어서 저렴한 고기를 사려고 노력합니다.

돈을 너무 많이 쓰고 싶지 않아서 싼 고기를 사요.

아내는 팬에 고기를 굽는데, 그게 간편하거든요.

어떤 사람들은 그릴에 고기를 굽기도 하죠.

우리는 그릴이 없어서 팬을 사용합니다.

팬에 굽든 그릴에 굽든 고기는 맛있다고 생각해요.

고기는 언제나 옳죠.

오늘 밤에 아내가 고기 요리를 해주면 좋겠네요.

아내는 아침 식사도 정말 잘 만듭니다.

팬케이크를 정말 맛있게 만들어요.

저는 메이플 시럽과 땅콩버터를 곁들인 팬케이크를 좋아합니다.

조금 이상하게 들리겠지만, 정말 맛있어요.

저는 팬케이크와 땅콩버터를 정말 사랑합니다.

아내는 흔한 멕시코식 아침 식사인 '칠라킬레스(chilaquiles)'도 만듭니다.

이건 세상에서 제가 가장 좋아하는 아침 식사예요.

칠라킬레스를 정말 좋아합니다.

이 요리에는 또르띠야 칩, 살사, 치즈, 그리고 크림이 들어갑니다.

위에 계란을 얹어 먹는 걸 좋아해요. 정말 맛있습니다.

아침 식사와 저녁 식사 중 어느 것이 더 좋은지 모르겠네요.

저희 가족은 일주일에 5일은 집에서 저녁을 해 먹습니다.

다른 날에는 외식을 하거나 다른 사람들과 함께 저녁을 먹어요.

가끔은 부모님과 저녁을 먹고, 또 어떤 때는 누나(여동생)와 함께 먹습니다.

오늘 밤에는 부모님과 저녁을 먹을 예정이고, 어머니께서 요리를 하실 거예요.

어릴 때 저희 어머니께서는 평일마다 저녁을 차려주셨습니다.

매일 저녁 6시 30분에 함께 식사를 했죠.

여러분은 매일 같은 시간에 저녁을 드시나요?

미국에서는 가족들이 함께 저녁을 먹는 것이 일반적입니다.

식탁에 함께 둘러앉아 식사를 하며 하루 일과에 대해 이야기하죠.

미국에서 저녁 식사 시간은 매우 중요합니다.

다른 나라에서는 밤 8시나 9시처럼 저녁을 늦게 먹기도 하더군요.

하지만 저에게는 너무 늦은 시간입니다. 저녁을 늦게 먹고 싶지 않아요.

저는 오후 5시, 6시, 또는 7시쯤에 먹는 것을 좋아합니다. 저녁 식사하기에 좋은 시간이죠.

여러분은 저녁으로 무엇을 드시는 걸 좋아하시나요?

저는 모든 나라의 모든 종류의 음식을 좋아합니다.

무엇이든 다 먹을 수 있고, 새로운 음식을 시도해보는 것을 좋아해요.

말씀드렸듯이, 저는 요리는 못 하지만 잘 먹습니다.

나중에 요리를 배우게 될지도 모르겠지만, 잘 모르겠네요.

요리하는 것을 좋아하지 않고 타고난 재능도 없거든요.

저는 요리하는 것보다 먹는 것이 더 좋습니다.

English listening practice video. You

can use this video to train your

listening and comprehension as I speak.

You ready? So today I'm going to talk

about cooking. I do not know how to

cook. So I do not know a lot about this

topic. However, I like eating so I like

talking about food in general. I am

lucky because my wife cooks very well.

She has a natural talent for cooking.

So, she cooks well. That means that I

eat well. Let me tell you about some of

the things that my wife cooks. Since she

is Mexican, she likes cooking Mexican

food. Sometimes she makes tacos, which

are delicious. There are many types of

tacos, so my wife can cook different

tacos each time. I also cooked tacos in

the past, but I don't cook well, so my

tacos weren't very good. I cooked tacos

lenua, tongue tacos, but I didn't cook

them very well. My wife cooks much

better. The only thing that I cook well

is eggs. I love eggs and I eat them

almost every morning. I think eggs are

the best breakfast food. I usually eat

scrambled eggs, but I also eat other

types of eggs, too. My favorite type is

eggs benedict. M. This is my favorite

breakfast. Have you tried eggs benedict?

So, my wife also makes pasta. She makes

really good pasta. She doesn't buy the

pasta in the box that you buy from the

store. She makes the pasta by hand. She

makes the noodles and they taste so

good. When you make pasta by hand, it

tastes better. I love all types of

pasta, but my favorite is ravioli. For

me, ravioli is the perfect food.

Actually, I like all Italian food. When

we were in Italy, we ate some amazing

food. My wife also cooks a lot of meat.

We like eating different cuts of steak

every week. We try to buy cheap meat

because meat can be expensive. We don't

want to spend a lot of money, so we buy

cheap meat. My wife cooks the meat in a

pan, which is easy. Other people cook

their meat on a grill. We don't have a

grill, so we use a pan. I think that

meat tastes good if it's cooked on a pan

or on a grill. Meat is always good. I

hope my wife cooks meat tonight. She

also cooks really good breakfast. She

makes really good pancakes. I like to

eat pancakes with maple syrup and peanut

butter. I know that's a little strange,

but it's delicious. I love pancakes and

peanut butter. My wife also cooks

chilakilles, a common Mexican breakfast.

This is my favorite breakfast in the

world. I love chilakilles.

This dish has tortilla chips, salsa,

cheese, and cream. I like it with eggs

on top. It's so good. I don't know which

is better, breakfast or dinner. In my

family, we cook dinner 5 days a week.

The other days we go out to eat dinner

or we eat dinner with other people.

Sometimes we eat dinner with my parents

and other times we eat dinner with my

sister. Tonight we will eat dinner with

my parents and my mother will cook

dinner. When I was a kid, my mother

cooked dinner every weekday. Every

evening, we ate dinner at 6:30 p.m.

every day. Do you eat dinner at the same

time every day? In the US, it's common

for families to eat dinner together. We

sit together at the table. We eat and we

talk about our day. Dinner time is

important in the US. In other countries,

people eat dinner late, like at 8:00

p.m. or 900 p.m. But this is too late

for me. I don't want to eat dinner late.
