Hey everyone! So Jun has gone back
to Japan now which is really sad
00:00
but he ending up getting to spend a
whole two months here which is great!
00:05
He was originally supposed to go home
like three weeks ago but he got the flu
00:08
so I didn't send him on the plane.
So yay flu!
00:13
But in more exciting news: it's our
one year YouTube anniversary!
00:16
Oh my gosh! It's so amazing.
00:19
So we have like 34k subscribers,
00:22
we got it after one year,
00:26
that's so amazing
00:28
so today is cause
for celebration.
00:29
Celebrating...
00:33
I don't even know why so many of you guys
are watching us but we're SO grateful.
00:35
It's amazing the response we've gotten and
seeing so many people interested in Japan
00:40
so thank you guys so much!
00:45
I'm a little drunk.
00:48
So in honor of our one year
anniversary I'm going to tell you the
00:50
most embarrassing thing that has
ever happened to me in Japan.
00:53
And probably not even just Japan,
probably like the most embarrassing thing
00:57
that has happened in my entire life.
01:01
It happened
01:04
almost immediately after Jun and I first got married.
01:06
His family took us on vacation,
like the whole family.
01:09
Well, "whole" is not like a lot of people.
01:14
Just my father-in-law, my mother-in-law,
and my sister-in-law, and then Jun and me.
01:17
And we went to Hakone,
01:21
um...
01:23
which is like up...
near Mt. Fuji,
01:24
for two days.
01:28
And like the first day we were gonna go to Fuji-Q High Land,
01:29
which is an amusement park, and the
second day we were just gonna like...
01:33
drive around the mountains and see the sights and stuff.
01:36
So my sister-in-law watches a lot of tv with like
idols, and they go to this haunted house at Fuji-Q
01:40
High Land, and it's actually like a haunted hospital.
01:47
And it's supposed to be like, the
longest haunted house in the world.
01:49
And she's watches them and they're
like all screaming like "Aahhh!"
01:54
"They're so scary!" And she
wanted to go really, really bad.
01:56
So when we first get there that's the
first thing the family does, it's like
01:59
we all go to this haunted house.
And you have to pay like,
02:03
an extra $5 a person just to
get in to the haunted house.
02:06
And, I'm not big on horror stuff.
02:10
I don't like getting startled.
02:11
It freaks me out! It's stressful.
It's not fun for me.
02:14
So I'm telling Jun, like,
02:19
I don't wanna go in the haunted house,
I don't think this is a good idea.
02:21
Like, I'm just gonna...
02:25
I'll sit here, I'll wait for you guys.
You guys can go in the haunted house but I'm
02:26
going to sit here! And I'm not gonna go
in, cause I don't think it's a good idea.
02:30
And he's like, "It'll be fine! Just go in!
Everyone's gonna have a good time, like it's--
02:34
They're just people in costumes. I'll be here with you.
I'll hold your hand if you want."
02:37
And I'm like... okay.
02:43
And then,
02:44
like 15 minutes later I'm thinking about it again and I'm like,
02:45
"Okay, no. NOOO I don't want to go in the hosp-
02:48
I don't want to go in the haunted hospital.
I've never been inside a haunted house before.
02:50
I'm going to freak out. This is not a good idea.
I don't wanna do this!"
02:54
And Jun's like, "No, no, everyone's doing it.
You should do it, you should just stay with the whole family.
02:57
Just come on, it'll be okay!
03:02
We'll just get through it, it'll be fine.
03:04
And I'm like... "okay... okay."
03:06
And this goes on for like the whole
two hours that we're waiting in line.
03:07
And finally we get through and
like, I've worked myself up...
03:11
a LOT.
03:15
Like just being in line.
03:16
And so we get inside the haunted hospital
and we're sitting in this, like, room...
03:17
And they're explaining all the rules to us.
But I'm not paying attention to the rules.
03:22
'Cause there's like doorways
03:26
all off to the side and they're like all dark,
and I'm looking around everywhere and I'm like,
03:28
I know someone is gonna jump out of one of those doorways.
I know they're gonna come out and try to startle us.
03:32
And I was like...
03:37
thinking I was like so
amazing and I was like,
03:39
"I'm gonna get them before they jump out and startle me.
I'm gonna see them first,
03:42
so they're not gonna surprise me."
03:46
So I'm looking around like everywhere, and I'm like,
no, no, they're not gonna jump out and get me.
03:47
So like the whole time I'm not even paying attention
to what they're saying. That's what I'm doing.
03:53
But no one jumps out at us.
03:56
And then they just start sending us through
in groups, like the groups you come in with
03:58
so you're not like walking around the haunted
hospital with like strangers and stuff like that.
04:02
And so it's our turn, and like,
I'm freaking out at this point.
04:06
'Cause I'm like, "SOMETHING IS GONNA HAPPEN.
WHEN IS SOMETHING GONNA HAPPEN."
04:10
"I KNOW SOMETHING'S GONNA HAPPEN."
04:13
And I'm like completely out of my mind at this point.
04:16
And we finally start like walking
through the haunted hospital,
04:19
and eventually like, the first
person jumps out at me,
04:22
and I'm not dumb. I know this is a person in a costume.
04:26
I mean, I don't think that it's like
a monster or they're gonna hurt me
04:30
or anything like that.
04:34
But I dunno. I've worked myself up so much
04:36
at this point that I'm
just like so freaked out
04:38
and when they jump out at me I get
startled, and I just start immediately
04:41
bawling.
04:46
Like, tears running down my face, like my
make-up, my mascara is running down my face.
04:47
And like, in my mind I'm
like, that wasn't that bad!
04:52
It's just-- He's not that scary. That's okay!
It's just a person in a costume. He just jumped out at me.
04:57
But I'm like so stressed out at
this point I'm just crying.
05:01
And like all of my
in-laws are like,
05:06
"Are you okay??
What's going on?"
05:07
There's like these doors that are like
emergency exit doors that you can
05:10
go and leave if you're too scared.
05:14
And they're like, "We can leave!
Do you wanna leave? Let's go leave!"
05:16
And I'm like, they spent $5 per
person just to get in here.
05:19
I'm not gonna leave and I'm not
gonna ruin this for everyone.
05:22
This is the main thing they wanted to do.
05:25
My sister-in-law really wanted to go in this haunted house.
So I'm like, "No! No. I'm gonna stay.
05:28
I'm gonna do it! I'm okay!"
05:32
But I'm still like crying at this point.
05:34
And so we go through the haunted
house and I think it's like,
05:36
it took us like 10 or 15 minutes to
get through the whole haunted house.
05:40
And like, they're so worried
about me this whole time,
05:45
they're just asking me, "We can leave!
Are you okay?"
05:47
And like eventually like I'm
holding Jun's hand in one hand
05:50
and I'm holding my sister-in-law's
hand in the other hand
05:53
I'm just like walking
in between them,
05:57
like sandwiched in between them
because I'm so freaked out.
05:59
And of course,
06:02
like the people who jump out at you, they don't care about
the people who are just like, they don't care about it.
06:02
'Cause like my in-laws, they're just laughing.
They're like, "Ha! Someone jumped out us.
06:07
I don't care, whatever. Hahaha!"
06:11
But I'm in the back like crying so
of course they all run towards me
06:14
and everything and so that
just makes everything worse.
06:18
And eventually like halfway
through the haunted house,
06:22
my mother-in-law just starts- she goes off
like 10ft in front of us and she starts, like
06:24
stomping really loudly
06:30
so she can draw out all of the people
so they don't jump out and startle me.
06:32
And like...
06:37
She brings them out, like it works.
06:38
She like lures all of them out.
06:39
But as soon as they come out they just, like you can see it in
their face, like they look at the situation and they're like
06:41
This is just one person...
06:47
The whole group of people is back there and
there's a girl that's crying back there.
06:48
So after that they all come running towards
me and I'm just like, "No, stop! Please!"
06:53
So,
06:58
that's how the whole haunted house went.
And I mean we got through it okay.
06:59
But at the end I was just like,
07:03
this is what my family wanted to do so much and
I ruined the whole thing because I was crying.
07:05
Like the whole time they had to worry about me
instead of enjoying the haunted house
07:12
and everything like that.
07:16
So I was like so embarrassed about
that, but I was like, you know,
07:17
it's okay! This is just the first thing of the day.
07:22
That was really embarrassing but
I'll get through it. It'll be fine.
07:24
And we'll just, we'll go on. There's so many
other attractions at this amusement park.
07:29
It's like a really pretty amusement park.
So we'll get through it and the day will just get better.
07:34
But I was wrong.

that has happened in my entire life.
It happened
His family took us on vacation,
like the whole family.
Jun,
She brings them out, like it works.
