They do simple exercises, and also meal inspiration, 00:30
all kinds of different things on the app. 00:33
So I'm gonna show you how I incorporate them 00:35
into my morning routine. 00:38
But I really like the app. 00:39
I just think it's simple for moms. 00:40
They give you great inspiration. 00:42
The exercises are just 10 to 20 minutes long, 00:44
and you don't need any equipment. 00:46
You can do it with one child hanging off of you, 00:48
or when they're having a nap. 00:50
So I really like it, but I'm gonna show you how I use it. 00:52

So I set my alarm for 6:30 in the morning, 01:08
but trust me, some days I don't even need to set my alarm 01:11
because the kids wake me up. 01:13
But on this particular day they are all still in bed. 01:15
So that's great. 01:18
This gives me a chance to brush my hair, 01:19
wash my face, and get dressed, 01:21
and get ready to do my 10 to 20 minute workout. 01:23
I try to work out three to five times a week. 01:26
And on the mornings that I need to, 01:29
I've got into the habit of leaving my 01:31
active wear in the middle of the floor, 01:33
so that it's the first thing that I see. 01:35
And it's just a great reminder for me to put it on 01:36
and try and reach my goals of toning up. 01:40
So I'm gonna go down to our new front room, 01:42
and log onto my 8fit app, and get ready to do my workout. 01:44
I really like this app just 'cause 01:48
I find it so simple to use. 01:49
I like that you can do a nine minute workout 01:51
and burn 252 calories. 01:53
And some mornings if I feel good enough, 01:56
and I still have time after nine minutes, 01:59
I can do another 10 minute workout and burn more calories. 02:01
You can easily preview the workouts. 02:04
If you don't like a specific move, 02:07
you find it too difficult, you can change that, 02:09
and you can also tailor this app to suit your needs. 02:12
So you can set your goals to either lose weight, 02:16
get in shape, or gain muscle mass. 02:18
You can also tailor your program 02:21
so that you can choose how often you want to workout. 02:23
I go with moderate because that suits my lifestyle. 02:25
So just to give you an idea, 02:29
today's exercise included hyper extensions 02:30
with your arms to the side. 02:34
I know it looks like I'm just flapping about on the floor, 02:35
but honestly, I can really feel this exercise. 02:37
And then you go onto doing a plank, 02:40
but on a table, or on a couch, or something like that. 02:43
You do that for 20 seconds, and then have a 10 second break. 02:47
And then you do side lunges, which I love doing. 02:50
These are so much fun. 02:53
And then I also love doing the side kick as well. 02:54
So you do each of those exercises for 20 seconds, 02:58
and then you have 10 seconds in between. 03:02
And you do all of that four times, 03:04
and it takes about nine minutes. 03:06
And like it says, it burns 252 calories. 03:08
So, yeah, it's just a nice way to start the day. 03:12
Then at about seven, the boys are up. 03:15
So I'm gonna get on and make their breakfast. 03:17
They're just gonna have some water. 03:19
And then some Alpha Bite cereal, 03:20
and also some almond butter and jam on toast, 03:22
and some fruit. 03:26
They're having apple and strawberry. 03:27
They also have this gummy vitamin, 03:28
which is great 'cause it also has omega-3 in it. 03:31
And then I'm just gonna get them to the table and feed them. 03:34
Jackson is so messy. 03:37
He's only 11 months old, 03:39
and he is like the messiest eater in the world. 03:40

Then I'm gonna take my vitamins. 03:43
I'm still taking the Pregnacare breastfeeding supplements. 03:45
And then I'm gonna make myself a coffee, 03:48
and also make Matt a tea. 03:50
And then get on and decide 03:52
what I'm gonna have for breakfast, 03:54
and I'm using the 8fit app for this as well. 03:55
It's probably my favorite feature on this app. 03:58
The help that they give you with meals, 04:02
it gives me so much inspiration. 04:04
You can tailor the nutrition part of the app as well. 04:06
So if you are a vegetarian, or Paleo, or Vegan, 04:09

So this morning for breakfast I am having 04:42
the Greek yogurt breakfast bowl. 04:45
But if there's anything on the day that you don't want, 04:48
you can easily just skip it. 04:51
And equally, if you love something you can save it 04:53
so that you can have it again,and you can keep that recipe. 04:56
Another really cool feature that I like 04:59
is that you can easily make a shopping list. 05:01
So you can choose recipes that you want 05:04
for the next few days, and press get your shopping list, 05:06
and it will give you everything that you need to buy 05:09
so that you'll have everything to make 05:12
those recipes for the next few days. 05:13
So it really makes losing weight simple. 05:15
Yes, so for this morning's quick breakfast 05:18
I'm having the Greek yogurt bowl. 05:20
So all I need for this is a cup of Greek yogurt. 05:22
And above that I put 50 grams of whole grain oats 05:25
and give it a really quick mix together, 05:29
and then put a big handful of blueberries on top of that. 05:32
And then you can add walnuts or cinnamon, 05:35
but both of those are optional. 05:38
But I'm just gonna have cinnamon. 05:40
And then, yes, I'm gonna enjoy my breakfast. 05:41
And normally, when I eat breakfast I check my Instagram, 05:43
and I also encourage the boys 05:47
to eat their breakfast as well. 05:48
After breakfast, because it's so beautiful outside, 05:50
we're gonna go out and play. 05:53
I'm really gonna miss this when the weather changes, 05:54
because in the summer our house feels double the size 05:57
because the boys spend so much time in the garden. 05:59
But while they are happily playing out there, 06:03
I'm going to attempt to get on and do a quick tidy up. 06:06
Just clean the highchair. 06:09
I find this so much easier to clean 06:10
if I do it straight after he's eaten. 06:12

So, yeah, get the boys ready, 06:55
and then brush their teeth as well. 06:57
Jackson has insisted on using 06:59
his brother's toothbrush today. 07:01
After that it's actually time for Jackson's nap. 07:03
He still has a nap at nine AM every morning. 07:05
He has this comforter, which is a fluffy blanket. 07:08
And he will normally just rub his face into that, 07:11
and have a bit of a cuddle with me, 07:14
and go straight down for a nap. 07:16
If the boys were actually back at school, 07:18
he sometimes has his nap even on the school run. 07:20
But normally I can make it back in time 07:23
to put him down for a nap. 07:25
But because they're at home, it's quite time. 07:27
So I can clean up and also get ready for the day. 07:29
I'll do my quick mommy makeup routine, 07:32
which takes me like five to 10 minutes. 07:34
