The witching hour approaches
00:01
What up Internet, Corrine here. And you're watching Corinne versus pin!
00:04
Today I'm taking on several Halloween pins
00:07
that have been floating around the Internet forever
00:11
And I’ve always wanted to give them a go.
00:14
So, let’s get started, shall we?
00:16
First up, we’re gonna give the ever-classic eyeball roses a go
00:19
But instead of doing individual roses like in this picture
00:23
I’m gonna use this black rose wreath I found at the fabric store on sale.
00:27
Yeah, I’m also not gonna be using the glass eyeballs
00:32
it looks like were used in this picture
00:35
because I found these light up eyeballs.
00:39
They look pretty realistic and they f*cking light up so
00:41
it doesn’t get better than that.
00:44
Alright. So this is a pretty simple process.
00:46
You just have to decide where you want your eyeballs to go
00:49
and then hot-glue those puppies right in there.
00:51
Yes, once I have my eyeball in there,
00:53
I just kind of tucked the wires in to hide them and
00:56
I think this thing looks pretty f*cking cute
00:59
Kind of like a Jim Henson character or something
01:01
[singing] Halloween, Halloween.
01:05
Okay, now I’m just gonna add the rest of my eyeballs
01:09
and we’re in f*cking business, people!
01:11
You know what this wreath says?
01:14
“I’ve got my EYE on you”
01:15
Next up: the very classy hand pillow
01:17
This thing is pretty cool, and I’ve always “covetedit”
01:20
MEOW if you don’t have any sewing skills
01:24
you might just want to buy one from this Etsy seller
01:27
But I’m gonna try to figure it out
01:30
I also found this vinyl fabric that looks like patent leather at the fabric store,
01:32
and I really think this would make some awesome f*cking pillows
01:37
Who doesn’t want patent leather f*cking pillows?
01:41
And much to my delight this is Yaya Han’s fabric
01:43
and I f*cking love her
01:47
I also got some pre-made pillow forms because
01:48
ain’t nobody got time to make pillows.
01:52
Yes but I will need to use this to make a pattern
01:54
so I’m just gonna unstuff this pillow.
01:57
Yep, taking all the stuffing out
02:00
And then it was right around this point
02:01
I realized that the measurements were on the package
02:03
and I don’t need to unstuff the pillow to find out that information.
02:06
That’s alright though
02:11
this is how we learn, you know what I’m saying?
02:13
This is how we learn.
02:14
Alright, now I just have to re-stuff the pillow,
02:15
which will never be the same again 'cause it’s all lumpy now.
02:18
Way to make your pillow all lumpy!
02:22
Yeah. So I just measured out a square shape onto some... cardboard?
02:25
What is this stuff called?
02:30
No, posterboard, that’s what it is
02:31
And then cut that sh*t out and placed that on my fabric.
02:33
This is our pattern.
02:36
Yeah you’re a pattern maker now!
02:38
If you’re a pro like me, you can just double up your fabric
02:40
right sides together, place that pattern on top of there
02:43
and then use some tailor’s chalk to trace around that sh*t
02:46
and then cut it out, making sure to leave a seam allowance
02:49
What? This is boring you?
02:52
Well, too f*cking bad, okay?
02:54
This is ThreadBanger. ThreadBanger!
02:56
Now I just have to pin both layers of my fabric together
03:01
and sew around the outline with my f*cking sewing machine
03:04
Make sure you don’t sew all the way around though
03:07
because you need to leave a space to put your pillow form in.
03:09
Yeah, just gotta squish that in there and…
03:18
We’ve got ourselves a f*cking patent leather pillow here!
03:21
Now to create the hand situation,
03:24
I really didn’t really know what to use because
03:27
I didn’t want it to be like a solid hand form.
03:28
I still want this pillow to be comfy, you know what I mean?
03:31
As comfy as a patent vinyl pillow can be.
03:35
And then I had what I thought was a pretty brilliant idea.
03:39
I can just stuff a rubber glove with some pillow stuffing and we have a hand shape
03:43
Unfortunately, this rubber glove is a piece of sh*t and it ripped on me
03:49
so I’m gonna have to double bag it here.
03:53
Some extra protection, you know what I mean?
03:58
Alright I have some doubts about this
04:02
but I’m gonna press on.
04:04
Stuff the hand inside the pillow
04:05
and it’s not exactly what I was going for.
04:08
You know, it kind of looks a little wonky but you know what?
04:10
I still need to pin the bottom closed and that creates more tautness.
04:13
It makes it more taut.
04:18
I have problems trying to sew sh*t closed on my sewing machine...
04:21
Because... I don’t know, I just can’t get it in there.
04:25
I just can’t do it.
04:27
So I am using my expert hand sewing skills to sew it closed.
04:28
You know what, I don’t hate it. I don’t hate it.
04:33
First off, look at this f*cking pillow.
04:35
The fabric is glorious, okay.
04:37
Second of all, there is a pretty pronounced hand shape,
04:39
it’s just not exactly what I was going for.
04:43
I think that the fabric that the people use to make this pillow
04:45
is a lot stretchier and maybe they have a more solid hand form.
04:48
I don’t know, that information does not exist.
04:52
I have to make it up as I go along, you know what I mean?
04:54
And for those reasons I’m counting this as a win.
04:56
They’re giving me mad American Horror Story season one vibes, and I can get down with that.
04:59
That shit was crazy, best season by far.
05:04
I was partial to the Coven season as well, for obvious reasons.
05:08
But season one gave me f*cking nightmares
05:12
that sh*t is scary as hell
05:16
Alright, we’ve made it this far, isn’t that exciting?
05:17
Or maybe we haven’t
05:21
maybe you’ve already clicked off this video.
05:23
You’re watching PewDiePie’s new video or something.
05:25
That’s okay, I’d leave me for PewDiePie, too.
05:28
For our final project of the day,
05:32
I’m gonna be making some spooky, glowy poison bottles.
05:34
Okay, so obviously we’ve tried a lot of glow-in-the-dark stuff here on this channel
05:41
and for the most part all that sh*t’s a lie
05:46
So I got myself a black light
05:49
because I really want these f*cking bottles to glow.
05:50
So I’ll be filling some old bottles with things that glow in the blacklight
05:53
First up: this old crystal skull vodka bottle.
05:58
This is a pretty large bottle of vodka that Rob drank
06:01
I think he may have a problem.
06:05
Anyway, so I’m filling that with some tonic water because the quinine
06:07
The quinine or whatever the f*ck it’s called
06:13
is supposed to make the liquid glow.
06:16
Yeah! Take a look at my ace pouring skills here.
06:20
Like a f*cking boss.
06:23
Okay, this bottle should be good to go
06:25
For my other bottles, I’ll be trying the good old highlighter trick
06:26
which is removing the insides from a highlighter
06:30
This is actually pretty easy, so don’t fret
06:34
And then you just stick that in a bottle with some water
06:36
and that sh*t is supposed to glow. Seems pretty easy right?
06:38
I also paid for some bottle designs from an Etsy seller, so...
06:41
trying to support the independent artist
06:47
not just steal shit off the Internet like everyone else does.
06:49
I had to cut one out, then Mod Podged it to my bottle and
06:53
Poison, spooky, glowing bottle.
06:57
Let’s see how they perform under the blacklight
06:59
Ah, yes! Hahahaha! Marvelous!
07:03
Well I think that’s all the projects I can handle for one video.
07:07
Oh, you’re looking at my beautiful ThreadBanger baseball tee?
07:12
Oh! I know, it’s pretty fancy, isn’t it?
07:15
So soft and ThreadBangery.
07:19
Oh, yes! I love it!
07:22
You’re wondering where you can get one of these beautiful baseball tees?
07:27
DFTBA. That’s right, our ThreadBanger DFTBA store.
07:30
Don’t Forget To Be Awesome.
07:34
