一定要从店铺的后面开始逛。

并不一定就是超值优惠。

通常只能用于原价商品，

我的一个个人购物技巧是

试穿一下，

最近我去折扣店购物，

看到很多可爱的凉鞋、坡跟鞋

以及一些不适合雪地的萌鞋

现在犹他州外面正是下雪天。

但你猜怎么着！

所有鞋子都只要六、七、八美元，

所以我当然买了好几双，

我会把它们保存起来，

等天气转暖时再穿。

好了，这就像是购物求生技巧，

带点零食，妈妈们！

我偏爱甜食。

它能让你保持能量，完成更多事，

而且感觉棒极了，

买到好东西，找到好优惠。

另一个好技巧是主动询问。

问他们最喜欢的颜色，

或者问他们的男朋友是谁，

我不知道，随便问，能打开话题，

会很有趣的。

你知道如果你是学生，

出示学生证，

几乎所有店铺，包括H&M，

都会给你学生折扣。

军人折扣、甚至老人折扣。

还有一点提示：购物时，

尤其是挑打折商品时，

一定要逐件检查，

在收银时。

不要全信收银机，特别是当库存

快速变动、商品在降价时，

容易漏掉。

当然，没人喜欢被垃圾信息刷屏，对吧？

所以可以专门开一个免费 Gmail 账号，用来收优惠券之类的。

他们会发送有价值的优惠券

这些优惠券很多时候只对

邮件或短信名单上的人开放。

我给妈妈们的最后一个建议是不要放弃。

我知道对我来说，已经不能像以前那样随意购物，

因为有了孩子后，不能再去同样的店铺，

所以我一直在寻找适合自己体型的新款式，

以及新的购物地点。

所以坚持尝试，不要放弃，

终有一天，你会在衣服里发现属于自己的精彩。

It's 2017.

I've got a lot of fun video ideas in my head,

and the first one, it is my best shopping tips and secrets.

Alright, my first tip is my favorite

and one that many people do not know.

Are you ready?

Did you know that January and June,

the first J months of the year,

are for most stores their best sales of the entire year,

including Black Friday and Christmas?

I know, right?

It's true.

Be sure to start at the back of the store.

That's right, that's where their clearance,

sale racks, closeouts, last-chance items,

nine times out of 10,

the best deals can be found in the back.

But, there's a catch, and that is

don't be sticker-blind.

Just because something has a sale sticker on it

doesn't necessarily mean it's a great deal.

Sometimes stores will jack up the price

before marking them down.

If it's really not that much cheaper

than a full-price item,

you may wanna go with the full-price item

because if there are store coupons,

they can usually be used on that full-price item

and not the sale item.

One of my personal shopping tips

is to try something on

even if it looks terrible on the rack.

Uh, actually, especially if it looks terrible on the rack.

Let's be honest, your body is not shaped like a hanger.

If you think you might like it,

if the price is right, try it on,

you may be surprised and end up loving it.

And honestly, the clothes that look super weird on the rack

are usually the ones that go on sale first.

When you go shopping, do your hair and do your makeup.

I know this seems super weird,

but, guess what, you're gonna be staring at yourself

in a mirror all day long in changing rooms.

If you are not feeling confident,

then you're probably going to walk away

thinking everything looks terrible on you.

Do your makeup, do your hair, feel good about yourself,

and then as you try on clothes,

you'll have a better perspective about

how it looks on your body

and you won't be caught up by the fact

that you're just, like, not very put together that day.

I always like to wear a fitted undershirt

that's either white or black and leggings.

That way I don't have to completely undress.

I can throw pants, shorts, skirts, anything on

over the t-shirt and the leggings.

It makes for a faster process

and you can see if, with the t-shirt and leggings,

maybe the clothes can be adapted

to fit your style and your modesty level.

One of my best shopping tips is to buy off-season.

Recently I was shopping at the outlets,

I saw a ton of cute sandals and wedges

and adorable shoes that are not appropriate for the snow

that is outside in Utah right now.

But guess what!

All of the shoes were either six, seven, or eight dollars,

so you better believe I bought several pair,

and I'm just gonna save them and hold onto them

for when the weather gets warmer again.

Alright, here's just like a shopping survival tip,

bring snacks, mama!

Something sugary is what I prefer.

It'll keep you fueled up and you can get more done,

and do it, and feel great,

buy some great stuff, find some good deals.

Yeah!

Ug, what else?

Another great shopping tip is to ask.

Ask, ask, ask, ask, ask,

I cannot stress this enough.

Ask when something's gonna go on sale.

Do you have any specials going on right now?

Do you have this in any other sizes?

Ask if there's anything you can do to get a coupon

or get a discount.

When is this gonna be marked down?

If there's a similar item that's cheaper.

Ask what their favorite color is,

I'll ask who their boyfriend is,

I don't know, just ask, it'll strike up a conversation,

it'll be really fun.

Do you know that if you're a student,

you can show your student ID

and H&M, almost every store,

will offer you a discount for being a student.

Military discount, even senior discounts.

One tip is that when you're shopping,

especially if you're shopping sales,

be sure to check your items one by one

as they're ringing them up.

Don't trust the register, especially if inventory

is moving quickly and they're marking things down,

things can be missed.

Or, something might have been put on a sale rack

that is actually full-price.

And don't be afraid to take something off

if it isn't the price you were thinking it was.

Be sure to check stickers on similar items.

Here's a perfect example, I was at Gap

and I was looking at the sale rack,

and I saw two shirts that were identical.

Well, obviously one of them

had a very different price than the other.

Make sure you're getting the best deal on the item you want.

Get on email lists or texting lists.

Sure, nobody likes to be spammed, okay?

So open up a free Gmail account just for coupons and such.

And they send valuable coupons

that a lot of times are only available

to people on their email list or on their texting list.

And my last tip for moms is don't give up.

I know for me, I can't really shop

at the same stores I shopped at before I had kids,

so I'm always trying to find new styles

that fit my body type, new places to shop.

So just keep trying, don't give up,

and eventually you will find greatness in your clothes.
