This is, without a doubt, one of the most viral audios of the year.

It all started with an ad for the British airline Jet2,

which specializes in affordable holiday packages. The commercial was released in December 2022,

featuring happy scenes of families traveling to the sound of “Hold My Hand” by singer Jess Glynne,

famous for the line: “Darling, hold my hand.”

The real star of the meme, however, is the British-accented voiceover

provided by actress and voice artist Zoe Lister, known for her role in the series *Hollyoaks*. Zoe has been the official voice of Jet2 since 2019. In this viral commercial, she says:

Starting in late 2024, TikTok users began using the audio

to illustrate travel disasters, bizarre moments, and completely unexpected scenes.

Instead of showing perfect vacations, the videos depict real-life travel struggles.

People around the world started posting the most chaotic moments from their

camera rolls with this audio, which explains the high number of views and likes:

the videos are unique, spontaneous, funny, and anything but normal.

All this to the sound of Zoe’s upbeat voice cheerfully declaring:

“Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday!”

The irony is what makes it so funny: the contrast between the optimistic tone of the ad and

the chaos in the videos.

Interestingly, the meme didn't weaken the brand; on the contrary, it strengthened it. The phrase is now

part of pop culture abroad and has gone beyond everything the marketing campaign anticipated.

At a recent show, fans of singer Jess Glynne shouted the Jet2 slogan

while she was singing “Hold My Hand,” recreating the meme live.

Since 2016, this song had already been used by Jet2 at airports, boarding gates, and even

during flights. But with Zoe Lister’s voiceover and the creativity of users,

A grande estrela do meme, porém, é a  narração com sotaque britânico feita
