March 14th, 2025. 00:15
Life has been really full these past couple of months. 00:18
2025 had a really strong start for me. 00:21
On one hand, I'm amazed and slightly overwhelmed 00:24
at how many things I'm juggling on my plate. 00:27
On the other, I feel as though I have so much more energy 00:30
for what I'm working on lately 00:33
because they feel so aligned. 00:35
I'm the type of person who can have endless energy 00:38
to work on something if it truly excites me at the moment. 00:40
The opposite is also true. 00:44
If something doesn't interest me, 00:46
I can't be bothered to do it. 00:47
I just can't force myself 00:49
to do things I really don't wanna do. 00:51
My body definitely speaks for me. 00:53
As a creative, 00:56
I really try to honor these bouts of inspiration. 00:57
When the ideas or the energy comes, 01:00
I know I have to act on it right now. 01:03
The longer I wait, the weaker it becomes. 01:05
And I know it doesn't last forever. 01:08
It's not always here, 01:11
so I'm very grateful when it does come. 01:12
By the way, thank you so much for leaving 01:15
your comments of support for the Diary of Becoming series. 01:17
I hear you loud and clear. 01:20
So I'll be continuing the series 01:21
when I do have the inspiration to write. 01:23
I decided to come to my mom's house 01:28
and bring all my old journals back with me. 01:30
It's funny, these are like junior high, high school. 01:32
I might leave these here. 01:35
But these are my morning pages journals over the years. 01:36
Let me show you. 01:41
I used to use composition notebooks. 01:42
They're all filled. 01:45
And then I moved on to pastel notebooks, 01:46
once we launched those. 01:49
As you can see, I try to label the years. 01:51
And then I moved on to the Bloom hardcover notebook 01:54
in the past recent years. 01:57
Like this is from 2022. 01:59
This stack is just, I guess, travel journals 02:02
and other etcetera types of journals over the years. 02:05
So many memories. 02:10
I'm also bringing back all of my old workbooks. 02:12
These are my workbooks from 2023, all the way down to 2017. 02:15
The newer ones are already at my house. 02:21
These are the colors I chose for all the past years, 02:26
if you wanna check it out. 02:29
Look at this quality from the first version. 02:38
Oh my God, it's so funny. 02:41
More and more, I'm listening to my body 02:45
to guide my decisions. 02:47
I'm trusting the gut feeling more, 02:49
and acting according to that. 02:51
I've recognized how much stronger 02:54
and more confident I've become. 02:56
I used to be so afraid of confrontation, ruffling feathers, 02:58
or going against the flow. 03:02
But now I'm no longer as afraid to speak up for myself, 03:04
to speak my honest opinions and ask for what I want. 03:09
Instead of shrinking myself small, 03:12
I'm more comfortable standing with my head up high, as I am. 03:14
I'm proud of that, and I'm continuing to grow stronger 03:19
and more confident with time. 03:22
How did this happen? 03:24
Well, I realized that you don't get what you want 03:26
unless you ask for it, 03:29
and sometimes you have to be strong and fight for it. 03:31
I'm amazed and proud that I recently stood up for myself, 03:36
stood firm, and fought for what I wanted rather than submit, 03:38
and I actually got what I wanted. 03:42
Developing self-love taught me to honor myself, my needs, 03:45
and to express my thoughts openly 03:49
because I am worthy of doing that. 03:51
No one will look out for me better than myself. 03:54
I'm learning not to be afraid to make others uncomfortable, 03:58
learning that it's okay if people don't like you. 04:02
You don't have to please everyone. 04:05
You can be kind to others, 04:08
yet still firm and protecting of yourself. 04:10
It's valuing yourself highly, 04:13
protecting your own needs and boundaries, 04:15
and ultimately doing what's best for yourself, 04:18
putting yourself first. 04:21
Because if you don't, who will? 04:23
So I've somehow come to a stage of strong self love, 04:27
powerful intuition and authenticity, 04:31
and detachment from the need to please 04:34
or even to prove my worth to others. 04:36
If they don't see it, fine. 04:39
I'll find someplace else where I'm valued. 04:41
It's no longer that I'm afraid to not be liked or accepted, 04:44
it's that I'm just probably in the wrong place. 04:48
And so, I'll just find my place elsewhere. 04:51
It's similar to a shift 04:55
I've seen in my friends who are dating. 04:56
When you're young, you're so concerned with being liked 04:58
that you try so hard to please and be a version of yourself 05:02
that you think will get approval. 05:05
When you have strong self-love and sense of worth, 05:07
it's not about, oh my gosh, do they like me? 05:11
It's about, wait, do I like them? 05:14
You are the one who gets to choose. 05:17
It's not about doubting yourself. 05:20
It's about deciding whether this person 05:22
is the best choice for you. 05:24
I love this part about maturing. 05:27
Sometimes it doesn't work out, 05:29
in which case, great. 05:32
Now you know and now you can move on to a better choice, 05:33
a better opportunity for yourself. 05:37
Onwards and upwards. 05:39
Recently, I also had another perspective shift 05:44
on embracing uncertainty in our lives. 05:46
I mentioned in a past video 05:49
how I'm going through a period of change, 05:51
transition, and uncertainty. 05:54
At first, I was having difficulty embracing the uncertainty 05:56
because the brain so often wants certainty 06:00
and control over the outcome. 06:03
But that's not how life works. 06:05
I realized that when I was hearing about 06:08
my friends' life transitions, 06:10
I was excited and happy for them, 06:12
the openness, the expansive possibilities 06:15
they have in store before them. 06:17
But when it came to my own life, 06:20
I felt anxious, lost and unsure. 06:22
But it's the same. 06:26
Any change is an opportunity for a new and exciting chapter. 06:27
To say goodbye and let go of the old 06:32
is to also welcome the new with open arms. 06:35
I realized that if I could truly 06:39
trust and believe that everything would be okay in the end, 06:41
where I'm fully satisfied, proud, 06:44
and grateful for my life as a whole, 06:47
then anything that happens in between 06:49
from now until then, is all part of the process. 06:52
It's okay. 06:57
If it goes well, great. 06:58
If it doesn't, great. 07:00
Those failures put me on the path 07:02
to learning and growth anyway. 07:03
How else am I supposed to evolve? 07:05
In the end, we so badly wanna control the outcome, 07:08
but that would be spoiling the story as you're living it. 07:11
Accept the openness, the uncertainty, 07:15
and trust that it's all leading you 07:19
exactly where you're meant to go. 07:21
If life is one big work of art, 07:23
then you are the artist in the middle of creating this art. 07:26
You might think you know what you want to create, 07:30
but as you're painting, the image reveals something else 07:34
and you decide to take another direction. 07:37
Who knows what the finished piece 07:40
will look like when you're done? 07:42
You've only just begun. 07:44
There's nothing wrong with a work in progress. 07:46
In fact, it's the empty space 07:49
where there is infinite possibility, and infinite potential. 07:52
It would be boring if you knew exactly 07:56
what the finished artwork would look like, 07:58
and exactly the steps to get there. 08:01
Imagine if life was completely predictable like that. 08:03
It loses a bit of the magic. 08:06
So, embrace your life as a work in progress, 08:08
and the empty space as beautiful potential. 08:12
There is nothing wrong with being in the middle of creating, 08:16
unsure of where it's all going. 08:19
Actually, it is the journey, this process of creating, 08:22
that's the fun part. 08:26
Let's try this new color and this new shape 08:28
and see where it goes. 08:30
I've painted enough blue sky. 08:32
Let me try something else now. 08:33
Continue creating and exploring, 08:35
and following whatever lights you up. 08:38
You are always being guided. 08:41
(tranquil music) 08:44
And so, because of that, 08:57
I feel much better about trusting the flow and the change 08:59
and taking life one day at a time. 09:03
I still have many dreams I hope to achieve. 09:06
I'm still being guided every day 09:09
on the right choices for me. 09:11
That's why I'm more than ever adamant 09:14
about taking care of myself 09:16
and cultivating my quiet time with myself, 09:18
to connect with my heart and intuition daily, 09:22
or as often as possible. 09:25
It's a dedication and commitment to stay listening 09:27
and to always honor my truest self. 09:31
That's how I strengthen that quiet little voice. 09:34
That's how I'm staying aligned to my most authentic path, 09:38
following this energy, following this flow, 09:42
even if I don't always know where it may lead. 09:45
To sum it up, the two biggest lessons 09:53
I've learned in my life thus far, that I share today, 09:55
are self-love and trust. 09:58
First, you must honor yourself 10:02
in the most careful and intentional way possible, 10:04
self-love in its highest form. 10:08
After you nurture that connection with yourself, 10:10
you will be led and guided in the right direction. 10:13
Then, trust. 10:17
Trust that you're on the right path. 10:20
Trust that you're constantly being guided and protected. 10:22
Trust that you are loved. 10:26
Trust, because you don't have full control, 10:29
and that is beautiful. 10:33
You don't have to figure it all out. 10:36
You don't have to know it all. 10:38
You don't even have to do all the work. 10:40
When you are living in alignment with your soul, 10:43
the universe moves to support you in magical ways. 10:46
- [Guide] We also have greater flamingos here, 10:50
the largest and lightest pink of all flamingos. 10:51

They're aptly named. 10:57
Always found near a permanent source of water. 10:58

(tranquil music)
March 14th, 2025.
Life has been really full these past couple of months.
2025 had a really strong start for me.
On one hand, I'm amazed and slightly overwhelmed
at how many things I'm juggling on my plate.
On the other, I feel as though I have so much more energy
for what I'm working on lately
because they feel so aligned.
I'm the type of person who can have endless energy
to work on something if it truly excites me at the moment.
The opposite is also true.
If something doesn't interest me,
I can't be bothered to do it.
I just can't force myself
to do things I really don't wanna do.
My body definitely speaks for me.
As a creative,
I really try to honor these bouts of inspiration.
When the ideas or the energy comes,
I know I have to act on it right now.
The longer I wait, the weaker it becomes.
And I know it doesn't last forever.
