[Music] 00:58
let me take you back a few years when I 01:04
first started learning English I was 01:06
really shy I knew some vocabulary and I 01:08
could understand basic conversations but 01:11
speaking oh that was scary every time I 01:14
tried I felt like I was making mistakes 01:17
one time I went to a coffee shop and I 01:21
wanted to order a latte but instead of 01:23
saying can I have a latte I panicked and 01:25
said you want coffee latte the Barista 01:29
looked at me for a second then smiled 01:32
and said oh you'd like a latte I nodded 01:34
quickly that moment made me realize 01:38
something important people don't care if 01:40
you make mistakes they just want to 01:42
understand you so here's my first tip 01:45
for speaking English naturally one don't 01:47
be afraid of mistakes many Learners 01:51
think that they need perfect grammar 01:54
before they speak but that's not true 01:55
even native speakers make mistakes all 01:58
the time the key is to keep talking and 02:00
not be afraid if someone corrects you 02:03
don't feel bad see it as a chance to 02:06
improve I remember when I first spoke to 02:08
a native speaker I was so nervous that I 02:11
mixed up my words and said I go to 02:13
market yesterday but instead of laughing 02:16
the person just smiled and said oh you 02:18
went to the market yesterday that moment 02:21
made me realize that communication is 02:24
more important than perfection 02:26
two think in English one thing that 02:30
helped me a lot was thinking in English 02:33
instead of translating from my native 02:36
language at first it was difficult but I 02:38
started with simple things for example 02:40
when I was cooking I would say in my 02:43
head now I'm cutting the onions now I'm 02:45
boiling the 02:48
water over time my brain got used to it 02:49
and speaking became much easier another 02:52
thing I did was describe my day in 02:55
English before going to bed I would say 02:57
to myself today I woke up 03:00
early I had breakfast I went to work 03:03
this simple habit made my brain more 03:07
comfortable with forming English 03:09
sentences naturally three use shadowing 03:11
to sound more 03:15
natural have you ever heard of shadowing 03:17
it's a great technique where you listen 03:20
to a native speaker and repeat what they 03:21
say right after them for example I used 03:23
to watch TV shows like friends or the 03:26
office and repeat long from the 03:28
characters it helped me improve my 03:30
pronunciation and Rhythm a great way to 03:32
practice this is by listening to English 03:35
podcasts or audiobooks play a short 03:37
sentence pause and repeat it exactly as 03:40
the speaker said it focus on their 03:42
pronunciation intonation and speed this 03:44
technique helped me sound more natural 03:48
and confident four surround yourself 03:50
with English one of the biggest mistakes 03:54
I made was only learning English in the 03:57
classroom 03:59
but English is not just a subject it's a 04:00
living language the more you surround 04:02
yourself with English the faster you'll 04:05
improve I changed my phone language to 04:07
English listened to English podcasts and 04:09
even started writing my shopping lists 04:12
in English I also followed 04:14
English-speaking influencers on social 04:16
media whenever I had free time I would 04:18
watch their videos or read their posts 04:21
it was an easy way to learn new words 04:23
and phrases in a natural way another fun 04:25
trick label things around your house in 04:28
English I put small sticky notes on my 04:31
fridge mirror and even my 04:34
laptop every time I saw them I was 04:37
reminded of those words this made 04:40
English part of my daily life five have 04:42
real 04:47
conversations this is the most important 04:48
tip speak with real people I remember 04:50
the first time I had a full conversation 04:53
in English it was with a tourist who 04:55
asked for directions at first I was 04:57
nervous but then I realized I could do 04:59
it that experience gave me so much 05:01
confidence if you don't have native 05:04
speakers around you don't worry you can 05:06
join online language exchange groups or 05:08
practice speaking with AI tools the more 05:11
you speak the more natural it will 05:13
feel another thing that helped me was 05:16
recording myself speaking English I 05:18
would pick a random topic talk about it 05:20
for 1 minute and then listen to my 05:23
recording at first it was strange but I 05:25
quickly noticed my pronunciation 05:27
mistakes and improved them over time six 05:29
learn phrases not just words a big 05:33
mistake I made at the beginning was 05:36
trying to memorize individual words 05:37
instead of learning full phrases for 05:40
example instead of just learning the 05:42
word hungry it's better to learn the 05:44
full sentence I'm hungry let's get 05:46
something to eat native speakers don't 05:49
speak in single words they speak in 05:52
phrases and expressions so instead of 05:54
memorizing long vocabulary lists learn 05:57
common expressions like what's up 06:00
instead of how are you that sounds good 06:03
instead of I 06:07
agree I'll take a rain check when you 06:09
want to meet later instead when you 06:12
learn phrases like this your English 06:14
will sound much more natural and 06:17
fluent seven slow down and focus on 06:20
Clarity many Learners think that 06:24
speaking fast means they are fluent but 06:26
that's not not true speaking clearly and 06:29
confidently is more important than 06:31
speaking quickly when I first started I 06:33
tried to speak too fast and I kept 06:36
making mistakes but then I realized that 06:38
even native speakers pause think and 06:41
speak at a comfortable speed so don't 06:43
rush focus on speaking clearly and 06:46
[Music] 06:50
naturally now here's a fun fact did you 06:53
know that babies don't actually learn 06:56
their native Lang Language by studying 06:58
grammar they learn by listening 07:00
repeating and imitating the people 07:02
around them this is why many language 07:04
experts say that the best way to learn 07:07
English is to immerse yourself in it 07:09
instead of memorizing grammar rules 07:12
focus on listening repeating and using 07:14
English every day just like a baby 07:17
learns their first language for example 07:19
have you ever noticed how kids pick up 07:22
new words just by watching cartoons 07:24
that's because they hear the same 07:26
phrases again and again 07:28
so if you want to speak English 07:30
naturally try watching TV shows 07:31
listening to podcasts and practicing 07:34
common phrases out 07:36
[Music] 07:38
loud all right my friends that's all for 07:42
today I hope my story and these tips 07:45

life stories fun tricks and easy tips
现在,让我带你们回到几年前,我刚开始学英语的时候
我很害羞,我知道一些词汇,能理解基本的对话
但是说到,说英语,那真是吓人,每当我尝试的时候
我觉得自己在犯错
有一次,我去咖啡店,想点一杯拿铁咖啡
但是我慌了,没说“can I have a latte”,而是说“你要咖啡拿铁吗”
to sound more
natural have you ever heard of shadowing
it's a great technique where you listen
六、学习短语,不只是单词,我一开始犯的一个大错误
是试图记住单个单词,而不是完整的短语
比如,不是只学单词“hungry”,而是学完整句子
“I'm hungry, let's get something to eat”
母语者不说单个单词,他们用短语和表达
所以,不要死记长长的词汇列表,学常见表达
比如“what's up”代替“how are you”,“that sounds good”代替“I agree”
“I'll take a rain check”当你想晚点见的时候
学这样的短语,你的英语听起来会更自然、更流利
七、慢下来,注重清晰度,很多学习者认为说快了就是流利
但那不对,说得清楚自信更重要
我一开始就努力说快,结果总是出错
但后来我意识到,即使母语者也会停顿、思考,然后舒适地说话
所以不要急,注重说得清楚和
自然
现在有个有趣的事实,你知道婴儿实际上不是通过学习语法来学母语的吗
but English is not just a subject it's a
他们通过听、重复和模仿周围的人来学
这就是为什么很多语言专家说,学英语最好的方式是沉浸其中
而不是背语法规则,注重听、重复和每天使用英语
就像婴儿学第一语言一样
比如,你有没有注意到小孩光看卡通就学新词
因为他们一遍遍听到同样的短语
所以,如果你想自然地说英语,试着看电视剧
听播客,并大声练习常见短语
watch their videos or read their posts
