(sighs) 00:02
- Hello. 00:04
(jazzy music) 00:06
- This week's not about hellos, 00:16
it's about goodbyes. 00:18
Hey guys. 00:24
Hey guys, this week on My Drunk Kitchen 00:26
we are saying goodbye to this beautiful, 00:28
beautiful kitchen set 00:30
which we've had a lot of memories in. 00:31
Some good. 00:36
Happy Hanniversary everybody. 00:37
- I get afraid of how much I love you. 00:38
- I know. 00:40
Some bad. 00:43
Ow, I touched it with my fingers. 00:46
And some downright hair raising experiences. 00:48
See ya later (gasps) that was my hair. 00:52
(girls all screaming) 00:54
- Oh my God, oh my God, 00:55
oh my God. 00:58
Oh my God. 01:00
Oh my God. 01:02
That's right, we're saying goodbye to this beautiful 01:04
kitchen set which has given us so much 01:06
and done a great many thing for us. 01:08
Now for a lot of us, saying goodbye can be pretty hard. 01:10
See. 01:16
Because goodbye effectively means that a change is coming. 01:18
And change, like I've said many times before, 01:21
it can be difficult to deal with. 01:23
So I've taken the time to put my feelings into words 01:24
and I wrote this kitchen set a little poem. 01:27
Let's read it. 01:30
And at some point on this episode 01:31
we'll get to the actual cooking. 01:32
Ahem, a poem from the heart. 01:37
Dear kitchen, I want you to know 01:39
how much I loved our time together 01:41
although not all words were made to ryhme, 01:44
however, I thought our pairings were quite clever. 01:49
That was our now and not forever. 01:53
I am cool. 01:56
Pairings was a pun, like, because of food and wine pairings. 02:08
Just in case you missed that one. 02:12
Let's cook, guys. 02:13
What can I say, I'm a sucker for a bubbly disposition. 02:14
Today we are going to be making a sweet potato mousse 02:16
because it's bittersweet, 02:19
potato 02:22
and because I'll really mousse this place. 02:22
It was a great set in a lot of great ways. 02:25
One fifteen ounce can sweet potatoes in syrup, drained. 02:29
Sweet potatoes in syrup. 02:33
One fifteen ounce can a hundred percent pumpkin puree. 02:35
Pureed pumpkin. 02:37
Quarter cup honey. 02:38
Honey. 02:39
A half teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. 02:40
Pumpkin pie spice, the least known Spice Girl. 02:42
Half teaspoon ground cinnamon. 02:45
Cinnamon. 02:47
Two cups sweetened whipped cream 02:48
or whipped dessert topping. 02:50
Oh-no, where is that. 02:52
Step one: Add the first thing first. 02:54
Step two: Add all the rest second. 02:55
I find it a little ironic that we're using so many canned 02:58
goods in this episode because frankly, 03:00
you shouldn't put your emotions in a can. 03:02
You should process them. 03:05
Don't bottle them up either. 03:08
I didn't even try and save that. 03:17
Never drink as a mechanism to cope, ever. 03:18
Oh my God, my processor is way 03:23
too small for all of this emotion. 03:25
Process round one. 03:29
Talk to your friends. 03:29
(processor whirs) 03:31
So what do you think I should do? 03:33
Great, now you have way too much sweet potato 03:36
for the amount of mousse you're looking to make. 03:38
So, just like real life processing, 03:39
if you can't take it in all at once, 03:42
give yourself some time, and let go of some of the past. 03:44
Meaning dump out half of this can. 03:49
You can process it in chunks later. 03:52
Beautiful. 03:54
It actually smells like the holidays 03:55
so that's triggering. 03:56
Add the pumpkin. 03:58
And remember, if you're having a hard time 03:59
there's plenty of really good things in life, for instance 04:00
cinnamon, pumpkin spice. 04:02
Last but not least, honey. 04:07
Process. 04:09
Also, here's a quick tip. 04:11
All of us have different processing speeds. 04:12
We're all like different computers 04:14
operating at different algorithms. 04:17
So just because you're processing something faster 04:19
or somebody else isn't processing something slower 04:21
or their processing something faster 04:23
and you're processing it slower 04:26
it doesn't mean that there's like a right and a wrong, 04:27
you just are the way you are and you're gonna process 04:30
at your processing speed no matter what. 04:32
So do what's best for you, not what you see 04:34
someone else doing as what's best for them. 04:38
Make sure it's what's best for you. 04:40
Good luck. 04:42
(processor whirs) 04:43
Uh-oh, heads up. 04:45
You might be deluding yourself and you might think, 04:46
"Oh, I have a 100% process these events." 04:47
But look. 04:50
You've only processed it half way. 04:52
Sometimes you need a little extra oomph 04:55
to help you get through the bigger chunks of change. 04:57
Oomph, oomph, oomph, oomph. 05:00
Love ya. 05:02
Plop, plop, plop. 05:04
That never works. 05:10
This is not a mousse. 05:11
Take a bite with all your might. 05:13
This just tastes like pumpkin pie. 05:18
This point is this. 05:20
Thank you kitchen, for all that you've given to me and to us 05:21
and it was a really great kitchen 05:24
in so many ways. 05:26
Cheers to you, kitchen. 05:30
Thank you kitchen, for being everything that you could. 05:31
It was a great kitchen. 05:34
We had a great time. 05:35
This is a great kitchen. 05:37
Though I really wish it had AC. 05:40
Hey you guys, thank you so much for watching. 05:42
Please subscribe to my channel for new videos 05:44
every Tuesday and Thursday. 05:47
(belches) 05:49
Sorry had a burp in there the whole time. 05:50
Have a great day. 05:52

(belches)
