Um, but this moment is special for so many reasons.

You guys know I've been giving you all a little taste of Jump,

um, you know, over the past month and some change.

And I couldn't wait for this day to finally be here.

And this song is so special to me for so many reasons.

Um, just considering the timing of the where we've all been in this world and,

um, the time of creativity for me,

I was able to, uh,

do everything that I hoped for for this project, for this song.

I just want to make the world dance, y'all know I keep saying that,

but that's really important to me,

that's really my goal is to make the world dance and have

the best time you could possibly have when you hear this song,

when you hear my music in general,

because music is that powerful that it,

you know, it can inspire us, it can make us feel something that we

need to feel or that we didn't know we needed.

Um, it's just, music is just that powerful.

And then of course, when you can dance with music,

it just takes things, things up to another level.

I call dance a universal language that connects us all,

that brings us all together and allows us to relate sometimes with each other,

allows us to communicate and connect with each other,

allows us to be free, allows us to be light.

And, um, that was important to me.

And I worked with my friend Theron on this project

and with this song in particular, this was actually one of the last songs I recorded on my project.

I'm kind of giving you guys a little inside scoop.

But it was one of the last songs that I recorded on the project,

and it was one that I felt like I needed the most

as far as energy and tempo goes.

And I was like, "Theron, we've done everything that I want to do so far,

but I'm missing this one vibe."

And, um, he played me this track

by Sam, Samner, Samser, sorry, and Sean Smalls.

And when he played me this beat, I was like, "Yo,

this right here is crazy.

It is exactly what I wanted.

It is the exact BPMs that I wanted."

And, um, we started right in the record.

Actually, I was at Russ's last game of the season.

He balled out in that game, by the way.

Um, he was making that thing jump on the field, um, with football.

But it was, um, a really, really special moment.

I was like, "I want to create a song that is going to play in in spaces like this.

I want to make."

I feel like some of my best music is what I call stadium music.

It's also what I call ghetto pop.

It's songs that can play in the hood and beyond.

And that's always been important to me from day one.

And so we were talking about different words we wanted to play with.

And we start playing around with jump.

And then literally, Theron and I, after the game,

we left, we flew on the plane back home,

and when we're on the plane, we were finishing up the record.

We were like in the zone. We started creating the record and by time we landed, the song was finished.

And it was just special.

And I was like, this is exactly what I want.

And now, while we're really here today is we're talking about the video,

Um, which I am, I'm over the moon about.

I, I have to tell you guys, I put so much into this video.

We shot this thing for about four days.

Three solid days for sure.

There was a fourth day on the calendar that we filmed as well.

And it was just special energy.

I worked with my good friend and probably favorite director of all time, that's Dave Meyers.

And he was just, he's always so much fun to work with.

Firstly, he's a good human being.

Um, but we just had so much fun and it actually took us about like,

I don't know, two months to like have the treatment where we wanted it to be.

Like every part of this process was very specific.

My girl, J Make A Kratt, you guys know,

um, J, aka Jam Session, she's my creative director

and also was a lead choreographer, choreographer for this video.

Um, she and I really took our time to down the dance details.

As you guys know me, I, I, I feel very blessed that I can kind of do it all on the dance floor,

and I wanted to make sure I did everything that was,

you know, the ultimate way I could express myself as an artist,

an art form, um, through a video.

And, you know, we, we making that thing jump for sure.

Like I said to you guys, you know, this is CC 2.0.

So, I'm also that girl that I will discover something dope online.

So keep on posting up your dance videos of you jamming out, showcasing your talent because you never know who's watching.

And I just love, um, you know, I love when I see something special that hasn't, someone that hasn't had a chance to do it yet, and I get to put them on the map.

So there are opportunities like that.

And the fun thing is that Club Cardio is like a super special wave that's happening,

um, in the south especially, and we pull out the cardio blocks in this video.

So you'll see that fun as well, which is super amazing.

And so, Arthur Peyton just came in with incredible vibes and energy.

And shout out to Jamaica for finding him.

Again, that's another moment, raw talent.

I was like, I love that movement.

Jamaica showed it to me, and I was like, I need that in the video.

So that happened.

And then shout out to, uh, Josh Smith, my boy.

I'm rocking with the fellas on the wire, so that's really fun.

And then shout out to Destiny as well.

Um, Destiny is again, some more raw talent.

We, we, she, Destiny, all I gotta say is she gonna make that thing jump, queen.

She just, it just was amazing energy when she came on set.

Um, shout out to Todd Williamson as well, the WSSU Powerhouse cheerleaders along with the coaches, Sheila and Tevin.

Now, let me tell you guys, the WSSU cheerleaders are amazing.

And I got to kind of revisit like the young CC, you know what I'm saying?

I'm still young, but the super, super young CC.

Um, I got to like have some fun with the cheerleading in this video.

And so I've been wanting to it for a long time.

So that was another dream come true of mine.

And then I got to shout out Coast Contra.

Coast Contra, I actually, that is another great example.

What's so beautiful about this video is that now that I'm talking about it and reminding myself,

a lot of my talent in this video is raw.

Coast Contra, as some of you guys may know, they are just an incredible group.

And Hip Hop group.

And I, when I saw them and I saw clips of them online, I was like, what is that?

Like I literally had to play the tape over a few times.

I'm like, this is special.

It reminded me of underground Hip Hop.

And it reminded me of, it was nostalgic for me.

It took me to a place that I feel like we don't have a lot of in Hip Hop anymore.

And I wanted to put some of that flavor in this record.

I had the song already ready to roll, but I'm like, wait a minute, I want to try something dope.

And this is unexpected for me because I didn't even know I was gonna end up,

you know, connecting with this group and like, learning about this group, the way that I did.

And I'm like, I want to try something different.

I want to, I want to bring the boys, bring Coast onto the record with me and see how we can, just see what happens.

And so I DM the boys, and they got back to me right away, and they were saying how much they, you know, loved and, you know, loved my work as an artist.

And they were just showing me so much love and the love was mutual, because I love again, I love the way that they're creating right now.

I think that they're special.

I think that Hip Hop doesn't have them right now.

And so, um, it was just amazing.

We got together a little like almost a week or so after we connected.

And the energy was crazy when we got together.

And we talked about the record.

I played them the song. They loved it right away.

And literally, probably about three days later, they were in the studio,

um, recording their verse on the record.

And when they sent it over, I was like, that's crazy.

I was actually riding with Russ in the car.

He was going to practice, um, in Denver, and I was on the way to the airport.

And I just remember us going like, this is special.

Like, what is this?

And then of course, Theron loved it.

Somebody saying, "We got one minute left!"
