Lyrics & Translation

Dive into the chilling narrative of Dillom's "Demian" featuring Mario Pergolini. While this track is a short spoken-word piece in Spanish, understanding the atmosphere it creates—a horror story of transformation—is key to grasping the dark, conceptual world of the *Post Mortem* album, revealing how Argentine artists use immersive storytelling to convey profound existential themes.

[English]
On that final night of
camp, the clouds covered the moon and
blocked the light. There was something in the air, a
premonition that not everything could
go well; it would be too perfect.
The already faint fire shot a few
sparks, but it barely served as a
source of heat. After finishing the round of
stories, the children slowly got up
from the ground and headed to
their tents to rest.
Some wanted to continue, but the fatigue
and the stories had left
most of them drowsy.
Demian, on the other hand, was wide
awake and still in front of the fire in the
solitude of the night. There was very little noise,
some distant crickets, the wind, and
before him, what remained of the fire.
Minutes passed and his gaze remained
there, unchanged. After a
gust of wind that assailed the
remains of the campfire, Demian's
companionship on that cold night became
apparent. His gaze remained frozen
on the embers when a drop of blood
began to well from his nose.
Without moving too much and with a
determination not very characteristic of
him,
Demian slowly removed a burning
piece of wood from the campfire and held it in his
hand, enduring the pain and watching
as it slowly burned.
Without caring at all, he rose from
his spot with difficulty. He waited a few
seconds and began to walk in a straight
line towards his companions' tents.
