Empecé a improvisar en mis canciones después de ver a Juice WRLD hacerlo.

Luego, simplemente lo intenté y hice algunas canciones que me gustaron.

"Ransom" se inspiró en que no me importa lo que piense nadie más.

I started freestyling on my songs after I seen Juice WRLD do it.

Then, I just tried and then made a few songs out of it that I like.

"Ransom," was inspired by just I don't care what no one else thinks.

When I recorded "Ransom," I was in L.A. I heard the beat.

It was like (singing).

I was like, "Yes."

I heard the beat drop.

I was like, "Whoa.

Yeah, this is in a whole different universe."

Nick Mira didn't make the beat in front of me.

It was just in a Dropbox.

I was at Taz Taylor's house and then I just clicked on it.

Usually, I don't pick the name of the song until after the song, so I kept going, I kept

listening to it, "What should I name it?

What should I name it?"

And then I heard me say "ransom" and I was just like, "Ransom."

My manager, we were in LA and then he rented one of those cars, and then I was like, "We

need both.

Hop outside this one and get in that one."

It was crazy, driving around in cars like that, but it's just a car, so ... It's a thing

with four wheels on it.

It don't really mean that much to me.

It's just cool to rap about.

I said, "They take my ass, I take they ass for ransom," It's an inside joke with Toronto.They

have these real funny accents so I ... You feel me?

I used the accent and then they all get mad.

It's funny.

They just be going crazy.

The opps is people that be hating and I don't even know them.

No, I have never been to Europe or nothing.

But that line was just ... I was just adding wordplay.

Just fitting what works together.

I said "die or rider" because I was going to say "ride or die" but the syllables didn't

fit so I just flipped it and then it fit.

I don't do multiple girls.

I'd rather just one instead of a bunch.

I'm really simple.

For the record, I grew up in Springfield Gardens, Queens, New York, and I moved to Long Island

in seventh grade.

People don't support you but they won't even hate on you, but they still just watching.
